Aw man.

Hell, it's even considered STUPID to watch it. My friend said so during presentation as it is regarded as 'too violent'.

Matt just posted this on twitter.

im shocked about this
World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstar Brian Kendrick as of today, July 30, 2009. WWE wishes Brian the best in all future endeavors.

He just never got over.
-
Mmm, another Hardy/Hardy feud…if Jeff sticks around, that is.
And while I'm not really surprised about the release of Brian Kendrick (I wonder if they'd have kept him had he remained on SmackDown...), I am kinda surprised about the timing. I mean, he was on RAW this very week; it was a squash, but I don't remember the last star that was released the same week they got some camera-time.
Unless there was an ulterior reason for letting him go.

End of May Kennedy.

End of May Kennedy.
Ulterior motive for him; there was his injury issues (long periods off-roster, hurting himself his first match back), and nearly injuring the Champ Orton as well.
Brian Kendrick didn't have those injury issues, and the WWE guys deemed him good enough to get into a Chamionship Scramble; he hasn't had great heat from the crowds, but they weren't dead to him either. And with the match (aka squash) against US Champion Kofi on Monday, I thought they'd be getting them into a feud or something for the Belt.
But then he's suddenly released. I dunno, something just seems weird about it.

From what I heard it wasn't so much the injuries so much as it was the Orton thing along with his in ring work ethic affecting his relationship with some of the other wrestlers who supposedly took a vote of no confidence which may have led to him getting released.
But yea Kendrick's release I don't know myself.

Just shows how much lack of talent WWE has these days.
-
Yeah, WWE had been rehiring wrestlers they released months and years ago.
I wonder why… -
Sorry for double post, but does anyone knows the theme song for NOC?
And Dr.Ken was freaking annoying this week. -
Never heard of this Eugene guy (probably because I don't remember much of wrestlers back in the day except the ones that are famous…before that 5 yr not watching wwe that is
-
He's seriously overrated in my opinion. Worthless. Baka, baka. He always gets beat up. Poor guy.
-
Not sure if you'll remember him. Eugene was basically Eric Bischoff's mentally-challenged nephew. He was annoying to me, but he got pretty over, getting even wins on HHH.
If I'm correct, his name is Nick Dinsmore and he's actually a really good wrestler when not in such an awful gimmick.
And yeah, Dr. Ken was annoying, but I still felt bad for him since it looked like he smacked his head pretty hard when he got tossed.
I liked Piven, he was an entertaining host.
-
He's seriously overrated.
I don't recall him getting that much pop back in his first tenure with WWE.
-
Nick Dinsmore got stuck in a lame character that actually got over with fans; but because of it, he got to do some pretty awesome stuff he might not have been able to in another character (like team up with the Rock and Hulk Hogan, and get wins over guys like HHH).
Piven and Dr. Ken did an impressive job last night; wasn't expecting the heel turn, or the moves they pulled. Big props from me for them going the extra mile (and Ken taking the bump) Dr. Ken was a little annoying, but wasn't he supposed to be in a character personality? I've never seen their movies so…
And I caved and bought myself a ticket for Toronto's Sept 14th RAW (now, do I want to go to Hamilton's Sept 15th SmackDown! show too? Hmm...). I'm going alone, but dammit, I'll have FUN! plots her HBK poster idea
-
This is all you have to see of Eugene. ^_^

that video was pretty fun. Good memories. Ric Flair was silly.
-
The most intense game of Musical Chairs EVER in that last round. XD That was a surprisingly nice little moment.
I forget, which belt did Jericho get a shot at again?
-
Sorry for the Double-posting. xP
Wrestlezone.com has news about future Guest Hosts for RAW:
! Businessweek.com has an interview up with Stephanie McMahon where she comments on future guest hosts of Raw. She says that the idea of celebrity guest hosts is definitely going to continue, and names like Freddie Prinze Jr, Bob Barker and Al Sharpton have been confirmed as future guest hosts of the show. The article notes, "Down the road, Stephanie McMahon says the show plans to have as hosts Freddie Prinze Jr., who will promote his new role on the Fox TV show 24, former game show host Bob Barker, and the Reverend Al Sharpton (who hasn't yet said exactly what he'll be promoting)."
! Also, another note mentions that Mike Adamle has been contacted about a Guest Host spot. No word on if he accepted or not though. (please lord, don't let him be Toronto's Host. D'8) -
Kennedy Shooting
Regarding the circumstances of Anderson's release from WWE - _"To be quite honest with you, I really don't quite understand all the stuff that led up to it. It was a bunch of different things. I had some detractors in WWE obviously. I made some mistakes along the way and I will take full responsibility for those mistakes. The line I was given was that they were not happy with the things that happened that Monday Night and they decided not to go with the Ken Kennedy Character anymore."
"You get the people who say, he's just pointing fingers…I worked my ass off for the company. I did everything on my end for the company besides opening my mouth when I should not have."
"To be honest with you I kinda had a weird vibe all day. Randy Orton and I had become very good friends...we rode together, we were tight, we were buds...when I got to the building I ran up behind him and gave him a big bear hug from behind and he treated me like I was just an acquaintance of his. And then the fact that he made such a big stink about supposedly dropping him on his head. He literally blew up in front of all the talent including Vince and Stephanie and began to lecture me about how I had to be careful and his health was very important. It just doesn't make sense to me."
"It got to the point where everything I did was wrong"_
You can listen to the full interview at www.pwrshow.com!

Well thats bull Mr. Kennedy was awesome and brought enjoyment with his mic skills. He was pretty cool and Mr. Kennedy was awesome.
Eugene did 2 good things
1. Brought The Rock back for a small ass kicking to "the Coach"
2. Poured yummy Chocolate milk all over the goodies on Maria. Oh god that was an awesome moment. Maria+Chocolate milk FTW.
Other than that he tried to use moves lik the Stunner, Rock bottom, Peoples elbow and all he did was make a fol out of himself. I hated him and this "Eugene" character sucks.
-
Well, sounds like there was indeed ulterior motive behind Brian Kendrick's release. From wrestlezone.com:
It's being reported that Brian Kendrick's WWE release was actually something that had been planned a few weeks in advance, which is why he had been so negatively booked on Raw. In his last couple weeks on TV, Kendrick was booked to lose to both Jerry Lawler and Kofi Kingston in what were basically squash matches meant to humiliate him, and that was the way WWE wanted him booked prior to his release.
It's being said that Kendrick failed numerous marijuana tests and WWE management was getting tired of his repeated failures. Although a marijuana test failure only constitutes a $1,000 fine as opposed to a suspension, WWE is cracking down on the wrestlers who abuse the drug too often and repeatedly fail tests.
Kendrick's release is not only punishment to him for failing marijuana tests, but it is also being used to serve as a warning to talent higher on the card who feel they can get away with abusing marijuana and simply pay the fine when they fail a test.
I figured it had to be something like this. It just made no sense for Kendrick to go on TV, get squashed by Kofi, then be released so quickly unless something was up.
-
I'm listing to the Kennedy shoot interview right now. Very interesting, I have to say that I feel bad for him.

You know, i really liked the kid back a few years ago. He was a high flyer of sorts and had nice mat skills. But he wasn't a talker so he was pushed to the backround. When i saw him again, he was a villain and doing shitty stories lines. Such a shame WWE wastes yet another promising wrestler. Maybe him and Rob Van Dam will be hanging out smoking a bowl and talking about how they were under used. Man….I really miss Rob Van Dam...

It's a shame Kendrick got released. He's got the skills and the look. Regarding Kennedy's release, it was way too sudden. He was still on the winning team in the main event of RAW the previous week. But meh, I missed Kendrick more.
Here's your chance, TNA! Grab him once his 90-days clause is up!

Wrestlezone.com has a little tease Re: possible DX spoiler.
! SLAM! Wrestling has an interview up with The Hart Dynasty where they tease wrestling DX sometime in the future. Considering the very possible re-uniting of DX on Raw to face Legacy at SummerSlam, the chance of DX vs. The Hart Dynasty seems very possible.
…I could live with that. I really could. 8D
-
O gosh, about time. I cannot stand Ricky Ortiz. I didn't really see his appeal and wasn't glad that he got pushed in ECW. That's one correct decision and does anyone know if Shawn Spears is still in ECW? Or is he just a pay-per-appearance wrestler?
-
Is DX gonna bring a tank to Summerslam?
if no then meh, fine.
-
Who is this taco guy anyway? I never watched WWE in 2004 so I can't tell (and did I mispronounced his name)?
-
Do we count that as child abuse or not?

Who the hell is Shawn Spears….? Oh wait, that jobber that got so little time in ECW, he was practically better off getting fired.
Yeah, he's released a couple of months back. -
So apparently Matt's face now. Isn't he still out for injury? Why is he scheduled for next week's main event?

Found something interesting to share with you guys.

Yeah, he's released a couple of months back.Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!?!?
O yeah, I saw that script sometime ago. That was cool! I wished there were more leakage of scripts.
As for the celebs who are set to host/still in discussion, I only know a few names like MC Hammer (heard that famous song), Ashlee Simpson & Pete (cool!) and Ashton Kutcher.
-
Freddie Prinze Jr. did a wonderful job this week, IMO.
He had the charisma, but just too bad that he did not have much TV time compared to other guest hosts.
Raw was alright, reunion of DX was heavily hyped but ended up crappy.
I was expecting them to crack a joke or two. But no:sad: -
Blah…I used to like it initially when DX reunite. But now, it's like every year or so, they will reunite...
-
I wish someone comes back to the WWE and rape Randy Orton, and I wish Orton gets so humiliated and injured he will be out for a whole yr
-
Bryan Danielson is going to the WWE.
-
Wonder how long he'll last.
-
Awesome news for Bryan Danielson. Always liked him. Hopefully he gets really decent exposure this time around instead of just a few dark matches. Maybe Shawn put in a word?
No one's posted thoughts on SS? I loved it!
BUT then again, it was AMAZING live. I had 4th row floor seats, and it was worth every penny for them. Greatly enjoy the Axxess throughout the weekend too!
Onto my SS thoughts!
Before it went on air, they gave us a bonus 15 Diva battle royal with guest ref Chavo Guerrero that was pretty good. Big push spot given to a Beth vs Natalya tease. They faced off big time in the middle of the match and got the only huge love from the filling crowd. Oddly, when Eve and Kelly Kelly teamed to eliminate Beth, Chavo interfered and threw them out to give the win to Beth. Not sure what it was leading to, but I'd certainly say "Yes, please!" to a Beth vs Natalya feud.
Dolph Ziggler and Rey Mysterio kicked off the show in high pace and gave a great match. I generally hate Rey, but the match rocked. I was rooting for Ziggler, who the majority of the crowd was dead to at his entrance, but once he hit the Famouser on Rey, he got a huge chant going. Even though he lost, it was a great performance!
I didn't know who to root for in Swagger v MVP. I'm a fan of both and they both gave an admirable effort. It was pretty clear MVP would win about halfway through when Swagger began to dominate. Good match. Only thing that disappointed me was that I didn't get to see the Gutwrench Powerbomb, not even a counter. I really hope they give a new finish to MVP. The Overdrive/Playmaker SUCKS!
Big Show and Chris Jericho vs Cryme Tyme was good to me. I don't think Cryme Tyme have really had a lengthy match before anyway and time needed to be used for the higher profile matches. Still some great things. I was very impressed by JTG. Great charisma and moves, but Shad leaves me flat. He's too plain. JTG and Jericho was the Battle of the Bedazzled with their shiny attire. By the way, Jericho's boots are the greatest of all time. Hands down. Still not sure how I feel about the KO punch with Show instead of a chokeslam, but it worked well to down both of Cryme Tyme.
I really hope we do get a future full match of Christian and Regal, but the quick win was a cool thing to see, plus it provides actual room for growth on the ECW brand.
Kane v Khali greatly exceeded expectations. Not saying a whole lot, but still. It was kind of cool that there was a group of very, very dedicated Indian fans of Khali nearby that were pretty much the only cheering section throughout the match. Kane's added to the tiny list (along Cena and Taker) of people that have had passable matches with Khali.
DX vs Legacy was THE moment of the night. Ok, this is more personal, so I have to give quick backstory and info about myself. I am an enormous Randy Orton and Legacy fan. Shawn Michaels is my all time favorite wrestler, but not my current favorite, who is, as stated before, Orton. I get bored of HHH and the DX reunions at times, but both are still cool attractions.
Now, the backstory. I went to all the Axxess event the day before and of SummerSlam, while neither DX member was their I did get to meet all of Legacy, and all were very kind and friendly, especially Cody Rhodes, who was actually really funny. Their great attitude and general cool demeanor won me over to cheer for them to beat DX. During a "fan impersonation" segment at Axxess, a HHH impersonator called out Legacy while they were signing autographs and Cody jumped onto a rail next to the fans and did a series of crotch chops to the fan while Teddy took off his shirt to jokingly accept the challenge. Of all the wrestlers I've met, they had the coolest and most fan-interactive attitude I have ever seen. This solidified my dedication to them, it was a cool bonus.
So, to continue, as I am a huge HBK fan, even though I was in my new Legacy shirt, a part of me had to cheer like crazy when DX came out. After the very cool, but long DX tank segment, Shawn threw his glowstick into the crowd, and I CAUGHT IT!!! I have been at fan events wanting to catch a memento for years, from Rock's elbow pad to Cena's hat, but I finally got one, and it was thrown by my all time favorite, Shawn Michaels, to boot! This obviously left me conflicted on who to cheer for, so I cheered both like crazy. BTW, anyone who owns the glowsticks, the kids at the arena had plain green glowsticks, but the one I caught had DX written on it in Sharpie, can any of you tell me if they come like that or is it an additional bonus for my souvenir?
So, DX vs Legacy was great, great, great. Dibiase and Rhodes finally got to show how good they are, and they are both very good. I loved that they stood nearly equal with DX, but used very good tagging technique. Once Rhodes hit the Cross Rhodes followed by Dibiase's Dream Street both on Michaels, I thought the match was sealed in Legacy's favor, but Shawn hit a nice pointblank Sweet Chin Music to win it. Very enjoyable.
Cena vs Orton was amazing to be a part of, but it was admittedly very confusing. Wouldn't quite call it a clustermess Everything that happened to the point of the intentional DQ was Match of the Year quality. Don't bother arguing that point with me… you won't change it. We were crazy in there and the crowd was completely split 50/50 between them, it was electric! I love the dynamic of Cena is the superior brawler with a heart of fire, but Orton is the better straight up wrestler yet he'll walk off when pushed too far. It was surprising that Cena started the first few minutes trying to beat Orton in technical manuevers, but once each revved up the engine, it was fantastic.
Now for the second, third, fourth... etc portions of the match. The DQ could barely be seen live, it happened so fast I wasn't even sure what was the big deal with the shove, looked accidental. This was followed by further confusion after the bell with Lillian's mistake of Winner and New Champion Randy Orton. Then Randy walked back and put Cena into the steps. It could be assumed that Orton could've gone into the ring and won by Count Out, but instead walked off to get himself counted out. Weird choice. But the match continues. Orton came in and beat Cena... with his feet on the top rope. (I actually don't think I've ever seen the feet on top rope before, but it was fast and cool, plus I and the crowd exploded in cheers!) Then the match started again, with Orton in an immediate STF.
Even live, I cannot say whether that crazy fan was a staged event or a legit crazed fan. Until some evidence comes out to the contrary, I honestly think it was real. First of all it was so sudden and he got taken down HARD. Second, Cena, Orton and the ref looked genuinely shocked by it. Need to see it with commentary though, to see more close up and all the chatter. Third, the security guard came from the back right near me with a pissed off look and cussing a lot. I just don't know if they'd put so much into selling the show to have a security guard act angry over a crazed fan in a off camera moment between matches. Either way, all that mattered to me was I got to see the RKO and win straight up for Orton. I can only hope we get a decent continual feud between them, I love their matches. The two of them click together better than ANY other match up.
CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy. Oh what can I say? Again, personal side information. I have never been a big Jeff Hardy fan. I hate his face paint and the fact that he is more spot oriented than an actual wrestler. Still, Swantons and Whispers in the Wind are rad to see, so he serves his purpose and actually gives a lot for his fans in matches. When I met him, he was really tired or something. He had no life to him for fan interaction. Bit of a disappointment there.
CM Punk did not do a signing, but did a Q&A session. I saw every Q&A they had and only Punk was boring and slow. It was terrible. He just sat, sipped a Pepsi, and talked with Fink. No fan questions, nothing. Complete disappointment. Now, a brief aside, the major villians of WWE, Kane, Orton, and Jericho all took fan questions, shook hands, and signed a handful of autographs in addition to them actually speaking with enthusiasm! After his uninspired bore of a session, he exited the ring and approached a group of fans who held out their hands, including me. He reached out his hand to shake, then said, "My hand hurts" and walked away laughing. This is something I would've found funny at a house show or regular event where they are "in character" but this was a freaking fan appreciation event! What a complete jerk! Hell, maybe he's trying for full-on heat with even rabid fans, but he dropped to my least favorite wrestler with his douchebaggery.
So, I went from not caring at all about him to hating Punk. I figured he'd win, and it was a decent match for the most part, even though he still sucks on the ladder. He gave the same kick he did to Kane at MITB (at least he did something in the match overall though unlike his pisspoor MITB win this year) and won in the end. Don't know why Jeff was severely injured over Punk, who was hit by the fall. Eh, whatever. I'm so happy that Taker is back. And even happier that he is going to destroy Crappy Moron Punk.
So sorry for taking so much space! Hope you guys stuck with me. If anyone wants to know about all the matches and events that went down at Axxess, I'd be glad to talk about it, but for now I think I took enough space. I was so happy, one of the best weekends of my life.
-
Oohhh, you went to Summerslam? Cool!
I've always wanted to go to an WWE PPV event, but i can only dream:sad: -
Yep, this is my fifth PPV I went live to, but the third that I got floor seats for. I'm hoping to do one floor seat for PPV a year and get an awesome collection of chairs. :)
So far, I've been to SummerSlam '03 in Arizona, WrestleMania 21 in LA Staples Center, front row for No Way Out '08, sixth row for ONS Extreme Rules '08 in San Diego Convention Center, and now fourth row for SummerSlam '09. Along with Raw and SD shows here and there. Live events are so awesome!
-
In 2005, I was 5th row for NO MERCY on Eddie Guerrero's birthday. He was in the main event against Batista for the belt.
I got to shake his hand as he and Batista passed out birthday cake to the first few rows.
Sadly, he died a month after the pay-per-view.
