@MagneticMonkey:
So reckless guys caring for others are her type? Tiger fisher must have been her first love… I'm still not impressed.
I can't believe that in the whole sea and her whole shichibukai career she never met someone who acted like luffy. It's just weird that she isn't just impressed by luffys way of dealing with situations but she directly falls in love with him. That felt forced if you ask me.
It's not surprising Luffy is probably a 1 in a million type of guy in OP, how many other powerful brave dudes with ambition that you see who act like Luffy? I can't think of one, especially 1 who'd strike a Tennryuubito, besides compare it to Alvida who fell in love with him for socking her in the gut, I mean wtf? What kind of masochistic shit is that? This is Romeo & Juliet in comparison.
What I wonder is how more women haven't fallen for the heroic side of Luffy, now granted these things were done with his crew but he goes out of his way to escort Vivi's ass, beats up the guy who is destroying her country, nearly dies 3 times in the process and he gets an "arigatou" and a banquet as thanks.
Then there's Nami and Arlong, he chases her ass down after she betrayed him and the others, he then later stops her while she's despairing and performing open arm surgery on herself, gives her his treasure to take care of while he risks his life to beat the guy who has ruined her life to this point, he beats him and destroys the room that was filled with painful memories for her… and what's he get? A navigator, friend and a high five. Frankly it's about time someone felt some love for his heroic side even if it is in a small dose, atleast Hancock ISN'T fawning over him cuz he's some bishie pretty boy, she fell in love with him when she could have anyone she wants.
So thank you Oda sensei for finally giving the story someone who appreciates Luffy for all the reasons the fans do, cuz otherwise our little rubberman could die a v, and that would be a bad way to go out even if you're PK.
