So far One Piece has used Dvorak's Symphony No. 6 and Beethoven's Ode to Joy from Symphony No. 9, what other pieces would you like to see be used in the future (and for which scenes for you manga readers). I think it would be awesome if Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 4 (Any movement is good, though I personally love the finale) or Marche Slave was used (Especially in the scene from the recent chapter where all the high ranking marines were gathering)
Classical Music Used In One Piece *Spoilers*
-
-
That is a theme that I think would fit in.
0:00-1:15 for showing the marinfort the captains and VA.
1:15-1:54 for Kizaru and Aokiji.
1:54-3:20 for showing his shihibukau meeting at the holy land. Its there! I can see an' hear it!
-
Really? "The Moldau" seems too happy for those scenes imo.
-
In Episode 046 at 18:35 - 19:21
there is a classical music in the background , anyone knows how its called ???–>
-
They're gonna use a classical music piece again when the big Chap. 513 bombshell gets animated. Mark my words.
-
I found it !!
In Episode 046, the music is composed by Frederic Chopin (1810 - 1849)
–-> Etude in E - OP.10 N°3 - Tristesse -
2 question
what music did they use in ennies lobby where they are standing in the tower and the music in the 3rd fight of crocs and luffy
-
I'd like to hear some music from the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra simply because some of their compositions are really epic imo. I had synced up some of their music to finale of Luffy vs. Enel…I think it went pretty well if anyone is interested...and please, if you see it, see it all the way through.
Part 1:
Part 2:
I blame Total Video Converter for some of the vid's crappy picture quality at some points…which is why I had to abridge the episode...some scenes were ruined by it.:getlost:

I can definitely see that.
For the final minute of the episode (right up until Luffy says that he couldn't save anyone), all the sound effects and voices would be mute, and we'd just have a slow, piano-based classical piece, as everyone disappears.
I get chills on my spine thinking about the scene being done like that. -
No mention of the Ave Maria during Hiruluk's last moments? Can't recall the composer right now…
-

But its a picture for a river getting bigger and stronger. Just as a river of marines is flowing into marineford. Thats why I'd like it. Nevertheless I have to admit it's unlikely they'll use it. Classical music moment are rare in One Piece.
Edit:
Part 1:
Part 2:
That was awesome!

I know when they used Dvorak's Symphony number 6, but when did they use Ode to Joy? (I haven't seen all the episodes, so…)
As far as future pieces, I don't know. Perhaps Wagner's Lohengrin: Prelude to Act III
-
They used Ode to Joy three times, I believe. Once when Usopp was opening the treasure chest at the start of Movie 7, once when Absalom was rallying the zombies early on in Thriller Bark, and again when Zoro and Sanji's zombies jumped out of Hogback's tower. And it was glorious.
When the Wham Episode of 513 comes around, I hope they use that sad, choral piece from Movie 9. Dunno if that was a pre-existing piece or not. May have been the Ave Maria someone mentioned.
-
Heh I have a feeling they are going to use Tchaikovsky's Romeo & Juliet for the scene where Hancock first develops her crush on Luffy

Maurice Ravel's "Bolero." I'm sure it could work somewhere…
Holst "Mars: Bringer of War" from the Planets Suite. Whitebeard vs the World Government.
Elgar's "Land of Hope and Glory/ Pomp and Circumstance March No 1." Dunno where they'd use it though.
Rossini's "William Tell Overture (Finale)"

Shame. That would've worked really well.
Anyways, I recently rewatched the end of Alabasta and I couldn't help notice how EPIC it was. I really think they should use more classical in One Piece; it would suit so many scenes perfectly, even though I do think that they did a fantastic job of the above event nonetheless.
There are a couple spots in Impel Down where it'd be more than appropriate and they're going to need some really good music that hasn't been used much for that arc to make it as memorable as it deserves to be if they're going to get to it before Movie 10 comes out (the next big batch of BGM).
-
Yeah, if they didn't use a classical piece during Kuma's annihilation of the Straw Hats, it's likely we won't be seeing any used again. Binks' Sake, though?! Oh, we'll be hearing that damn song forever.
-
I first heard From the New World in the third Crocodile fight and I now have that part as my ringtone  . I don't really listen to classical music very much, so I can't really make any suggestions.

I was shocked. I really learned to love that piece from Fullmetal Alchemist. I would have really thought I would have recognized it in One Piece since I watched them around the same time. lol.
One Piece has awesome background music. Even if it's not composed by the great composers of the past.

Come on, Bink's Sake has become the Strawhat's unofficial theme. Besides, classical would have been out of place for that particular part of the episode, unless they chose a particularly mellow piece, in which case, a more meaningful song to the series is the better choice in my humble opinion.
For the part of Kuma's attack they SHOULD have used classical for we had appropriate bgm and then an accentuated silence. It was quite the powerful silence, only the popping of bubbles at the end. I don't think they could've done it much better than that, personally.
-
@Palochka: I'm okay with an occasional Bink's Sake, but I'd really like them to have Brook play something else during downtime/filler, OR if they insist on using BS, make a version thats not just a single violin playing for background music. Chopin's etude in e would have been great for the flashbacks, or even for the entire fight (they would've had to speed the whole ep up though) playing soft and light in the background while Luffy is helpless to save everyone.
