I only played the ps2 version and the controls are actually alot better than they might seem in a video. They work fast and acurate.
But i think we can all agree that this game deserved alot more attention then it ever got.

Speaking of NPCs, one thing I loved about WW, was the Nintendo gallery giving every character stories. I was happy when that sort of returned in SS.
Agreed. The fact that each and every NPC has a name and some semblance of a personality really helped in the world builiding of WW. So happy to see that return for the most part in SS.
Item Check Girl.
I own only the Wii verison never played the ps2 version. i did watch a ps2 video though on it and wow I can't imagine having to do the brush strokes by the controller. Talk about a broken control method compared to the Wii's versoin. It would suck so bad and takes soo much more time. Feels like they are breaking the game by having you pause non stop to brush a stroke.
I watche multiple videos from multiple peopel and they all take like 5x longer per brush minimum longer for harder strokes than they do on the Wii.

What Gai said.
Playing >>>>>>>>>>>> Youtube watching
Seriously. It's fast and precise. You can make tiny dabs and still pull off moves in quick succession.

Watching is enough. If it takes me half a second to do a brush and it takes the ps2 version 3 seconds. I don't care how smooth it feels or works, its too long. I don't need to play to know that.
I never knew three seconds could be too long

Think of the game when you are fighting. You have to PAUSE the game and then move the cursor to the enemy and do a slash, circle, circle with fuse, three slashes, ect. You know all the commands.
Just the SLASH alone takes 3x as long as it does on the Wii. Is as yous aid 3 seconds too long? If you want a fluid gamign experience I sure say so. I want a game that doesn't feel like i'm pausing the game to attack.
and its relative. 3 seconds on a 3 hour movie. Nothing. 3 seconds on a 15 second loading screen, might notice. 3 seconds compared to half a second when attacking. BIG difference.
But I'm not going to fight over this. I've learned enough that dual analog is best thing since sliced bread. Regardless of how slow it is, or that there is auto aim enabled for shooters. The fans of dual analog will never admit to another control scheme being better. Its easier to convince someone that their religion is wrong, than their controller is.

Like immigrants amiright?
Never change, Hinscher.

I have nothing against immigrants or people of any race. Obviously you didn't understand my comment back there.
I'm against the LABELING of races, people, classes, religions, ect. All it does is cause strife.

The only person who can say something like this is someone detached from reality either by proximity or by their own doors.

I will be an American one day. A Greek-Cypriot, Greek Orthodox Christian, part British American. Keeping my 'labels' on thank you very much~ :D

I have nothing against you keeping your labels. I have something against you if your labels get you a job over me. Or if your labels get you a tax break. Or if your labels ….
My sister recently applied for an internship somewhere. She is on deans list. has like a 3.9 gpa at her college. works while going to school, has nursing home experience, in extra curicular crap like nursing club type stuff. You name it. BUT she probably won't get an internship because they will likely try and hire ethnic people so they can look good in some magazine for being diverse and get an award. And that's all because of one little check mark on an application saying race.
I'm not out to destroy peoples cultures, religions, beliefs by making everyone ONE thing. Practice your religion, dress how you like, eat what you like, ect. America is supposed to be the place that is free from discrimination, freedom to practice whatever religion you want, feedom from ... There is reason is called the land of the free. But thats not how it is. U.S. has both discrimination and reverse discrimination problems. People like me who point out reverse discrimination gets looked at like we are rich spoiled white kids living in mansions wondering where to put our million dollars. Not all white people are living in luxary. We have same problems rest do.
Oh lord.

So your only interaction with "labels" is getting angry at black people hypothetically taking your sisters job.
You seem like someone well versed in the subject lol.
Also Chrissie would be better at the job than your sister so that's why she would get it.

Also she's not an alien, you don't have to treat her "religions, languages, foods" like some infectious disease to be kept away from you lest you lose your apparent off the goddamn Mayflower anglo american purity.

I could see this happening in a tiny place such as Cyprus, it does actually happen daily and I've seen proof with my eyes but… is this really going on in the USA? I just can't see it since through my very long and detailed research on immigration laws and such, I saw that only a very limited number of people (compared to the size of the USA really) get accepted for long-stay or working Visas and only the best of the best can easily find a job opportunity.
My labels wouldn't get me anything but acceptance perhaps in a foreign country by fellow.. 'labelled' people. lol
And as a teacher in a multicultural school, I have to say your view on race in general, kind of seems unhealthy... That's just the general gist I get from previous posts as well... Just saying.

Ever wondered why you see a Goron in the Hyrule Market? Well he ain't there on his own ability I tell you what. A perfectly well qualified Hylian is out of a job because of those damn liberals in the castle.

Everywhere these days. And the crime rate goes up? Gee imagine that.
Goron City is a shit hole they should clean up first before they start coming down here.
Why couldn't we get more Zora's, they work hard, and for low pay too. Model people.

The place I'm talking about is Mayo Clinic. I'm sure most have heard of it. Big place. hires crap load of people. I'm sure if she wants to work there when she graduates it won't even be a question as to her getting in. But they don't have many internships available. Thus its very exclusive. That is when you see the things taken into account of do we hire a white girl with a 3.9 or an asian girl with a 3.9.
Its twisting the Afirmitive action policy to things not intended, like how most our rules end up going. Affirmitive action was intended to stop preveneting of hiring due to race. Somehow that has turned into hiring non-whites if you can for good PR.

Therefore labels are bad and immigrants need to fully Americanize!

I'm so mad about labels because of this darned hypothetical suspicion!
I wanted to enter the Goron race in MM, but they won't let me join since I wasn't a Goron. Now I'm out of a job.
To be fair the Gorons are always portrayed as a Miner race. They're the only ones who seem to do the hard manual labour.
No biggie about the race, just put on some goron-face and they'll let you in.
Is it so much to ask the when applying for a job or college that race, gender, or ethnicity are not in the equation at all.
Is it so much to ask that when watching a tv show or movie they don't throw in a random person of some race or gender in order to APPEAL to some group when it makes no sense story wise and the person doesn't fit at all.
Is it so much to ask that we all be considered as equals.
You guys keep trying to make it sound like I hate immagrants or want eeryone to be of same religion or culture. Or to drop theirs and become a beer drinking, cheese eating, hot dog stuffing overweight American. That's not the case at all. I feel like I"m playing an MMO and everyone is yelling to nerf the white people cause they are overpowered and need to buff up the ______.
I hear on SWTOR that the repubic is vastely outnumbered by the Imperials. I'd like to see the outrage there would be if Bioware gave the Republic some big bonus or handicapped the Imperials in order to even the odds in fighs or get numbers to even out. Thats what this is like. Nobody is ever in favor of that happening on an MMO. Why should someone be penalized for being what they want to be an Imperial?
What on hyrule did I walk into…
"Oh boy, A whole page more of posts since I last checked? Some exciting Zelda related news must have come up!"

Hail to the king.
Don't even get me started on race. Being a Hylian Dwarf is hard. Everybody sees the ears and height and is all like "What are you, a Kokiri? Get back into the forrest you treeback".

Now here's a thing. It's racist to give people of one race all the manual labor jobs, because we are all one species, and it's not like a single race is genetically endowed with lawn-trimming abilities.
However, the Gorons are clearly physically stronger than most of the other races, and can withstand intense heat. They also eat rocks. So, since they are, in fact, naturally suited for mining, it is racist to only give them that sort of work?
Yes because Goron's can also do white collar work and the arts as well. A Goron could be king too you know.
Gorons also make great historians and merchants.
And excellent drummers if I remember correctly

Goron's seem to be fairly skilled in everything. They also seem to be able to grow to the size of mountains.
They also invented sumo wrestling if i remember right
Anyway, Im almost through Sky Keep, just the last piece left. I actually had fun collecting those tadnotes, eeh whatever…

What's more awesome than driving 3 hours to see the opening night in Dallas?
A 10 minute car ride to see it in my home town for the second time. AWWWWW YYEEEEEEEEAAAAAA!!!
That's… that's brilliant.
Just finished this game early this morning. Been at it for a good 3 1/2 months, but today I decided to end it. I have no interest in "Hero Mode" right now though. Maybe I'll play some side quests here and there. But up next on my Wii games is One Piece: Unlimited Cruise. Never played them before living in the U.S. and all.
But I do have an interest in playing Twilight Princess, and I want ask; how is it? Does it live up to _Skyward Sword_? Thanks.

There's no such thing as a bad Zelda game (not counting the CDi atrocities), and Twilight Princess is one of my favorites. It has a much darker and more serious tone compared to most others in the series, and takes after Ocarina of Time in a lot of ways. Some people cite these as bad things causing it to lack originality, but they're actually why I like it (I love seeing how the same places change or don't change from era to era). But any way you slice it, it's a solid game which adds a lot to the overall mythos and is definitely worth playing.
Is it as good as Skyward Sword? No. But few Zelda games, or games in general, are.
Thanks for the help, I'm definitely going to be giving this a play. ^^
