@Dixxy:
The term "On hold" in the title is actually kind of comforting. "On hold" and even the use of "immediate future" suggests that this is temporary. "Cancelled" and "indefinite future" would be a LOT worse.
Yeah, I like how they didn't say it was for sure canceled, but I fear that it will get canceled anyways.
@Bounty1Berry:
The irksome thing here is that the people who did the right thing– who politely waited for the damned streaming player to waddle through 391 and 392, who planned their Saturday evenings to be ready to see 403-- are the ones screwed, and the people who broke the rules (foolish as they may be-- it's impractical to keep the genie of digital data in the bottle), are enjoying 403 as we speak.
I fail to see how delaying 403 at this point will gain them any edge, as it would just present a larger window where the ripped-off version is more desirable. The second the real thing goes up, there's dramatically reduced reason to fetch the torrented one.
This is the futility of the copyright economy. It makes me want to BitTorrent something out of spite alone.
I know, right? Even though I understand their reasoning for not putting it up, it drives me insane that I was waiting for this, and even though I saw that it had been leaked, I still waited. I was looking forward to in fact, but now those of us who were doing the right thing are the ones left in the dust.
I do really hope that they get it all worked out and are eventually able to get the old episodes back up along with the Simulcast… Because the Simulcast was a wonderful idea, and it would still be a good idea in the long run to leave it up. Does watching those episodes on there not give them a small sum of money or something?
It has to come back up.
