Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Mr.2 is a okama as well. Yeah RAPE TIME.
Chapter 542: "Another Event To Soon Be Told" Discussion
-
-
Oh come on! Mr. 2 regardless hogtied Hannyball and left him hanging. Saying he was "tricked" only makes up for so much. It's clear at least that these two are somewhat close in strength.
Luffy was way stronger than Foxy but through trickery alone Luffy almost lost to him.
-
I got to laugh at all the people trying to make excuses for Hannybal.
-
dangerous troll spotted. Without arguments your post is meaningless!
-
Well Tashigi doesn't stand a chance against Blackbeard in the character tournament after this lol
-
nope shanks is a weakling, some pussy seaking that lufy ohko'd on the start of his adventure bit off his arm.
Well, I always did think there was something extremely fishy about Shanks losing his arm to a Sea King that Luffy was able to beat so easily, but I guess that's a topic for another time.
-
Not really, Shanks only interest was saving Luffy.
-
I never understand peoples NEED to put power and strength into everything.
Shanks losing his arm was not to show his strength, was not to show the seakings strength. It was for the sole fact of people like Rayleigh/Whitebeard/Mihawk and others to be wondering "how did he lose his arm, and was it worth it"
The same for Mr. 3 capturing Zoro/Nami/Vivi, or Mr. 2 Capturing Hannyabel. It was to show their trickery and sneakiness, along with having some Hannyabel and Zoro comedy and stupidity from them.
Some of you are just so used to Goku or something just flexing and ropes are ripped or something like that. Thats not how this show is, if someone is tied up they are defenseless and can't do anything.
-
The more I think about it, I'm impressed with how many options Oda has given himself with the rest of ID. Now that BB has shown up and Shiryuu has gone traitor, it's a situation where everyone potentially hates everyone. I'm fairly low on the chance of a Magellan vs Luffy rematch though. If Magellan were to show up right now, Iva and company would not stand around and let Luffy fight him again. Iva's power seems most suited to fight against Magellan, and even if it's not enough I'm sure he's thought about a plan to deal with him.
I'm not even sold on the idea that Magellan will fight Luffy's team though. Shiryuu and BB are both potential opponents for Magellan. The probability of ID getting completely destroyed went up by about 20% after this chapter.
-
I don't understand the argue about BB coming to ID at all.
Oda used the "Royal Rumble" idea in the skypia arc, he even made it a cage fight.
I will never forget the "Viper vs. Zoro vs. Aum & Dog vs Big fucking Snake vs. old god " Picture.
!
Pure awesomeness.
I love the pure chaos.
Who will be blown out of the ring?Get your popcorn ready and just enjoy the show!

I was thinking that as well (WWF), BB even has a wrestler on his team. Impel Down Brawl
-

Actually, even Goku was able to be successfully tied up with ropes and rendered defenseless (albeit by a guy with psychic powers, if that makes a difference).

i'm more of a fan of the picture before yours. you have two dumbass' in there. luffy still thinking he in some cave thingy, and zoro tells them to hand over the gold, lol. they are all serious and have some super reason to fight and zoro is clueless and just after the gold.

People have probably caught this before, but still:
!
You see Saldeth? He's playing his pitchfork like a flute. So he controls the Bluegori with music? Ah well, it's a minor thing.

Yesyesyes!!!! Someone else noticed it. So they are weird creatures… What do you think are they?

Controlling animals with music really isn't that weird.
-
@Fire Fist:
Controlling animals with music really isn't that weird.
I dunno. If you have some informations i would be glad to learn more about it.
-
It's obvious Saldeath is a snake charmer. And the Blugoris are a bunch of snakes that are in a blue gorilla suit. So that when he plays his flute they react to his commands. Oda is a fucking genius.
-
Wasn't it proved that snakes are affected by the movement of the flute and not the sound? Aren't snakes actually nearly deaf?
-

Well, they're a kind of gorilla, aren't they? Blugori=blue gorilla, after all.
-
Wasn't it proved that snakes are affected by the movement of the flute and not the sound? Aren't snakes actually nearly deaf?
In real life, yes; in One Piece, not so much
-
Wasn't it proved that snakes are affected by the movement of the flute and not the sound? Aren't snakes actually nearly deaf?
Well yeah. It's actually due to the motion of the flute and sometimes they react to the tapping of charmers foot. They are basically reacting to the sound vibrations since they can't actually hear what is being played. Once the playing stops (or vibration stops) they go back down. The reason why cobras come out with their hood open is becuase they are in a defensive stance and if the charmer is in range they may strike.
-
Mr.3 makes a Wax Submarine after reuniting with Luffy and gang. They all squeeze in and Mr.3 seals it while Jimbei punches a hole in the outer wall.
Jimbei guides the sub out as soon as possible, while Impel Down is slowly but surely flooded. :ninja:Level 2 poison victims are steamed clean due to the intense evaporation from levels 3 and 4. Magellan and BB are out for the count.
The prisoners in Level 5 and 6 who are still in their cages will not drown - the water that reaches Level 5 will freeze, sealing these levels off. So they'll just be trapped under ice. Might suffocate, might be safe due to air vents…
-
no that doesn't prove anything. Like i said earlier mr. 3 who is weaker than mr. 4 caught zoro by tricking him. And zoro beat mr. 1. Mr 3 is not a fighter at all in strength so no way can you say becuase zoro was caught are they close in strength.
Its just like Usopp's fights. he always wins by tricky, and clever attacks versus being stronger than his opponent. I don't know how strong hannyabell is, could luffy beat him, who knows. I would predict yes, based on he seems like a Lucci at best, but without claws so Luffy has upperhand.
But he is still a vice-chief of impel down, so he obviously isn't some weak guy. And mr. 2 was only on level 3. you don't have a vice-chief who can't handle level 3 prisoners.
Don't remind me of your posts when you clearly didn't read mine. I even put your name next to it!
Using Mr. 3 doesn't work because he trapped Zoro with STEEL wax, something that Zoro established he couldn't cut.
What, are you saying that Hannybal can beat Mr. 2 at any time, but ROPE is just too much for this guy to handle? Quit making excuses for the guy! Being the second in command to Impel Down means he's weaker then Magellan, and instead of a small margin, he's weaker by a large margin. He's not a fighter so much as a joke character. Look at him, even the awesome fact that he can withstand the cold of level 5 lead to a joke. And I just remembered, his beating of Buggy and Mr. 3 was another joke at their expense. Yet, Oda hasn't even bothered giving this guy an ability or fighting style. That should tell you something about his strength–the author didn't even think one up for him.
But hey, he's hilarious. He's a great joke character, an epic joke character. But not much of an antagonist. That's Magellan's job.
I forget if you're the one who said it, but it makes the notice that Luffy and Hannybal can somehow be opponents ridiculous. Oh, and comparing him to Lucci is equally ridiculous, he'd kill Hannybal.

Luffy, the man who pushed apart two buildings at Water 7, was subdued by ropes in Thriller Bark. And Amazon Lilly.

people, ManGami Oda is unpredictable.
Just relax while waiting the next chapter. -

Ah but there's the thing, you don't know what the gaol ropes were made out of. Given that Impel Down has a budget that allows it to put sea stone in their hand cuffs and bullets, a tough rope to break isn't out of the question especially considering the prison's function is to subdue prisoners.

Did you do something to you post? It feels like you're stretching the page or something.
-
His point still stands.
-
For all the people starting drama about who's more powerful than who in ID, you forgot that the prisoners are assigned to floors based on BOUNTY levels, not power levels. MR. 2 might just be strong enough to beat hannybal if he has the element of surprise, and Robin would have been on level 6 even though she was not one of the uber characters (at least not from sky island onward)
-
i still wonder what the demon guards are…:ermm:
-
Yeah I know, Impel Down was good before the moo moo and other animals come out lurking. Now it is just runnin, fightin and weird looking animals. Hope they maked out in next chapter.
-
I'm guessing that by the next chapter, they'll be confronting Magellan on the third or second floor. It's most likely the former, but, if it's the latter, they'll reunited with Buggy and Mr. 3, which would be nice for the sake of pacing.
Some pages of the next chapter, though, will be taken up by one of the various other events going on in the world, be it BB vs. Shiryuu or WB's rescue attempt.
I kind of want to see Mr. 1 in action again next chapter, but that's just a minor thing.
-
I'm personally getting a little impatient to see just what Whitebeard is up to (though I know full well that Oda is keeping us intentionally in the dark for suspense purposes).
-
I have a feeling we're in the thick of what Oda said at JF.
If you recall he mentioned that he had many ideas for ID and that he wanted to draw one spread after another but was afraid that would hold back the pace and therefore would try to limit himself.
These past two to three months we've just been getting spread after spread in chapter climaxes and mid-chapter reveals.
This useless observation brought to you for no reason.
-
^^ for my taste is the pace right now a little to fast…
kay, fits cause of this hole escaping\tumults szenario.
oda shouldn`t limit himself in his spreads..they are great and the story has recently soo much development that 1-2 spread per chapter would be rly perfect for the pace and artstyle..i hope we will see at the WAAR!! as much spreads as possible..i mean their are no limits for oda to draw so many damn coll spreads..so i hope their he will do what he wants to do..have some fun in his art without rushing through this event
-
I do like the fast pacing better for it. They can't really waste much time due to the scenario, so it fits the theme. Though I do like the combat here, as opposed to other OP wars that end up as fodder vs fodder with a couple separate main character vs main enemy fights.

That's news to me. I never heard of that before about how Oda wanted to make color spread after color spread. But Oda shouldn't limit himself though. As long as he has each chapter under control, then he's fine. Besiade, he can always issue another Color Walk to publish the color spreads that didn't get released couldn't he?
-
I think Magellan is seriously underestimating Blackbeard. And even if Shiryuu is that powerful, 5 vs 1 although is a mismatch, Shiryuu might be able to hold the Blackbeard crew or not depending on how powerful Shiryuu is.
However, lets assume Blackbeard's power is really that powerful (lets also assume there are still people unconvinced that Ace losing is a fluk), Shiryuu is no match for Blackbeard.
-
Unless Shiryuu is shanks standard, blackbeard has freewin.
-
Well if Shiryuu lost to Magellan the he will lose to Blackbeard. Their abilities and consequences if abilities used is pretty similar. Shiryuu dos not have strong ranged attacks since he lost to Magellan.
But then again, maybe Shiryuu choiced to go in cell in Croc way. -

I think Greg is talking about two-page spreads (like the last two pages of this chapter), not color spreads.
Unless Shiryuu is shanks standard, blackbeard has freewin. I'm not sure what you mean.

Blackbeard gave Shanks the scars over his eye, therefore without hsi fruit he was on par with shanks. Therefore for it to even be close - bare in mind bb has df now aswell -, shirryu has to be as strong as shanks.

appreciated, it was something i was also thinking of.
i actually want him to "waste time" being EPIC!! as hell however.

well he is "the" head goaler
@dirt:
C) Blackbeard and crew are distracted by Magellan and Shiryuu, so Luffy and Blackbeard never meet, but Luffy and his new buddies find the missing Marine Battleship waiting for them. They hitch a ride to Marineford, and the Marines there welcome it back, not knowing they're inviting pirates and revolutionaries inside.
 hmmn, i see fun on the horizon.
shiryu is going to join BB crew.
he definitely doesn't want to go back into the cell, i think blak beard will beat him then ask, like he did ace
-
Is head goaler really youkou level?
-
Is luffy really shichibukai level?
-
Is whitebeard really roger level?
