Well this question is about Shonen Jump
Wich day is it released?
I mean we got the spoilers arround tuesday but the chapter arround Friday
SO? where do people get spoilers?
Is Shonen Jump released readed and barely scaned in tuesday?
I think the magazine is released wensday's, however, we can get spoilers from people who obtain it earlier, like monday or tuesday. We get are chapters in english on friday, because they need to be translated, and then edited with english text instead of japaneese
Wow. Seriously…?
I lol'd hard
Ahahahah, oh wow… Do you seriously believe you're right?
[See? I can also say vague sentences to make myself look right]
Edit:
the south bird also is not as relable in terms of life time. the log pose can break, but it does'nt need to be feed, looked after and so on. whats more; you can stock up on log poses but you cant have 20 south birds squarking on your ship. it's a conviniance thing.
I'm sure that stocking a lot of food and giving few food to the bird (something like, one time per week) isn't going to kill him, they can stock much food.
because you apparently are a person that needs to always be right because you will keep whining about something I will say:
yes, you are right
Anyway, if the SH's would've had a south bird they wouldn't have been as strong as they are now and I think that is kinda hard to debate about (althought I truely have no worries about you still doing so) because the SH's might have encountered just as strong foes if they just went straight through the grand line which might be the case but seeing everyone in GL uses a log pose or almost everyone to go from island to island that seems highly unlikely.Anyway, as of now I am in no mood to discuss this topic any further with you
oh, and btw, if was first of all using Luffy's logic and secondly talking about newbies trying to make it to Raftel or even to make it on the Grand Line and the further you get in the GL the stronger the enemies. If you have no enemies that make you stronger and go too fast so you haven't been able to train enough than you indeed will be too weak to make it.
Since when are Aventures the only way to upgrade?
Training is more than enough to be as powerful as most of the pirates out there. If you train in the way, you will most certainly be powerful enough.
Your logic fails.
Well, for one thing, South Birds are indigenous to an island deep in the Grand Line that probably isn't all that easily accessible under normal circumstances. If it was, I don't think it'd be a haven for pirates. So you'd have to travel a good distance into the Grand Line to secure some of them in the first place. By that point, you'd already be used to the Log Pose system.
Secondly, there's the South Bird itself. They're somewhat rare even on Jaya, and, judging by the primary example we have of one, extremely bad-tempered, and very, very intelligent to boot. Domesticating them isn't going to be easy as they're going to resent the entire idea of working for you and are going to make constant escape attempts. Considering their nature, attempting a breeding program is only going to end badly.
So it's not really workable in practive.
It seems a pretty easy island to find, specially due to the fact that we see so much pirates out there.
And what if we're already used to the log system? Does it matter? Will I never change my computer because I'm used to this, evne if my new computer is 5019410491204129 times better?
Also, about the bird, you just have to lock him, he can't rebel against you, as he'l look to South no matter what he tries to do.

the southbird diet is also important, it could potentiolly potentially just be food specifically from jaya. also south bird vs log pose can be parralleled to format wars.
the log pose is manufactured and so it could be kept up to demarned. the south bird population depends on the ecosysytem it's being kept in. also if southbirds were to be used then people would have to start mapping out islands with reletive direction and magnitude to each other. only after that would it be ideal to use it, either that hasen't happened yet or will never happen because theres noone bothered to put time and effort into it.
Let's not put "Pottencialy" here, please…
About ecosystem, that's a good way to see it, as long as they were careful, they could make the bird survive, though.
Also, to finalize, why do they need to know all the magnitudes?
Don't get it.

they won't need to measure all the magnitudes but only a few then that can be used to find out the rest.
you need magnitude so you know how long at sea your going to be.
And why would they need that? Can't they just advance and advance? They do know that they'l find a big wall ahead of them when they're close to the New World, right?
I don't know if it has been discussed before but regarding your question Maase, what do you think will they eat? Stops at islands are important for food water and other stuff. If you travel with the southbird you will reach an island if you are lucky. If you aren't you will just sail and sail and sail and starve!
True, didn't think of that.
Couldn't they use a Log Pose to get to the closest island?
No need to know every possible magnetism before going to a island
@Maase:

the log poses set at one island to go to the next, it dosn't take you to the nearest one.

Log Pose > Southbird
Reason 1: They're everywhere
Reason 2: They don't die, nor live.
Reason 3: They don't try to run away.
Reason 4: They're silent.

Of course training makes you stronger. But strength comes from the heart, so if your heart becomes stronger you get stronger, especially in One Piece.
Also, if there is no trainer, self-training is rather boring to look at all the time.
Where can i download translated data books?
The real question is why havn't the data books been translated yet?
I've got a question that doesn't really have a text book type answer. Why do you guys think that out of all the straw hats, Robin handles Luffys goofyness better than any of them? She is the most mature, and seems to enjoy when he acts so dumb the most.

i just think she cant find any faults with them after they saved her, ever since then she always seems to be happy, so perhaps she's just soooo heart warmed by those actions she could never feel otherwise, its just my speculation on her but since enies lobby she seems to be getting happier and happier, anyway thats my take of it, what do you reckon?
Well, think about when Luffy faught Croc, and Luffy started burping and went "oh I don't think you should drink this much water" Croc got so pissed off and Robin just started laughing. Or when she first joined, Usopp, Luffy and Chopper were acting nuts as usaul, and Robin asked "are they always this lively?" and Zoro replires "yeah there always like that". She just seemed to pleased about it.
Maybe from being with nothing but the worst scum almost all of her life. With guys who were nothing but serious and evil, maybe its such a shock to her that when luffy does these outragous things she just can help but be happy.

yeah i know even before enies lobby she seemed happy, but i think that was just a cover, as it was made obvious later how she had no real friends or family, and instead of looking upset and being pissed she just covered it up
but now the robin we see is genuinely happy inside, so despite the fact she has always looked the same im sure that her true feelings on the inside are completely different, maybe even being an assassin taught her to hide her visual feelings/emotions or something, its clear though that robins feelings are very guarded which makes her true character quite hard to judge, her speech to brooke when he joined also confirms my beliefs even more. it was in a recent anime episode
what i dun understand is, since the geography tells that whoever enters the grand line can't get out of there (except marines and thoese who crossed to the other side of the reverse mountain) how did Shanks/Mihawk appear in the east blue even though they were in Grand line? we know how hard brook's captin tried to escape through calm belt (never worked). beside, how does world goverment govern the rest of the world when majoise is in the grand line (which is hard to communicate/move into) it doesnt make sence. when the SW went to the reverse mountain, there was no exit on the other side, so how do u get out of grand line in the first place?
Probably this has been made before but
i always wondered enel had a lighting fruit
so he can move at the speed of electricity
with that speed why he get hitted by luffy several times? in a milisecond he can "teleport" to another place
Even more enel says with the golden rifle that the attack is to fast to dodge
Maybe its like kizaru?
Kizaru creates a stream of light to travel
Maybe enel needs to create a path of electricity to move at that speed? or what
Also in the lastest chaps we have seen crocodile "hand" but luffy broke his hook why he has it back?
the navy gave him a new hook? lol
Crocodile had his hook back even in the jail.So I assume he has some spare nozzles in his trousers.Or that thing is just part of style and we don't need any explanations.
Kind of if Usopp would tore his brown pants to pieces but in the next chapter he got them back.

Luffy is just enough fast to hit thunder. Thats it. And being rubber, ya can hit it. Oh and like Crocodile back then, Enel aint have reactions for hits. Crocodile dude changes always sand, but Enel just took hit. Well because of his god-ego of course.
Luffy is just enough fast to hit thunder. Thats it.
False.
Its either Enel wasn't moving at that speed or the whole fight was just flawed when it comes to speed. If Luffy's fast enough to keep up with lightning then quite frankly he should've been faster all of da CP9, since I'm not willing to believe soru is as fast lightning.
Go flick your own arm with a rubber band.
Now do it again, but try to stop it after releasing.
That's how fast Luffy is because he's rubber. When he's pulled taut like that, his arm will snap back - probably so fast that it's hard even for him to stop it.
I don't quite know if the mechanics to this is correct, but at the time, he was using the arm with the golden ball on it. That extra weight might have made it even faster when it sprung back. Maybe just fast enough that tired Eneru couldn't move out of the way.

LOL at that explanation for why he should match the speed of lightning. Furthermore I'm not talking about that one time where he was able to hit Enel I'm talking about every time he hit him after Enel realized he could hit him(outside of him ricocheting his attacks off the Maxim).
Besides you can't really be saying the speed at which flicking your arm with a rubber band matches the speed of lightning. If so I'd like to know what law of physics you abide by. Don't even know why this angle is being brought to this argument. It's a little clear this fight revolves around something you're not suppose to question in the 1st place. Oda just made the tangibles of a fictional fight that much more fictional.
maybe it's not so much as enel's speed but his reaction time, after all he has never had to react before; every thing goes through him.
probably yes it was about his reaction but still dodging it instead of thinking "to fast" should be easier
its a milisecond to move away
Also dont try to put physics here
When luffy is in the air… after streching due the weight of the gold ball.. When the tension releases and luffy tries to push foward his arm... he should have gone backwards towards the ball... he has no way to stop his arm of "shrinking" to a normal size
to stop some rubber band to go to the original size you have to use energy enough to keep it extended
In the middle of the air luffy has no way to use strenght to keep his arm from going back
and as the ball is heavier he goes towards the ball
My engrish sucks xD

No offense but the i always believe that the answer is because this is shounen manga. Cause i don't believe that Luffy can match up to lightning's speed.
Question for all…...............
we have had alot of debate on luffy's strength in relation to vice admiral momanga, so i'd like to know where everyone puts luffy and a few others strength-wise?
e.g
1.sengoku (because he leads the marines)
2.admirals (because they are praised by sengoku, as well as being the most commonly used force against strong pirates/threats)
3.garp/john giant (because it was garp that chased roger, and because john giant seems to control the other V-admirals and is based at the holyland, who aslo seems to train the elite)
4.luffy/komir/smoker
5.momonga/doberman/onigumo
it can be anyone in the marines, but please give reasons for your order of strength
He's another incurable one. Chopper's gonna be mighty busy.
Let me guess, Chopper is a Mod, and you're comparing me with AWB, CaptainCool, etc.
Thanks, bro's, much appreciated.

But Maase was being an arrogant little shit-crusted asshole as well. Brennen, of all people on this forum, is a person I have a deal of respect for. Saying that his careful reasoning is just bombastic didactic prose is infuriating.
And with so many monsters in Impel Down, one can easily believe that the minotaur is also a monster. He doesn't talk, so he probably is one.

ow no i wasn't actually taking side with anyone, i just saw his post and agreed with the highlighted part, soz if i gave the wrong impression there mate, i really should have checked the other posts
(honestly, agreeing with maase, i deserve to be set on fire and beaten with a blunt object)
It is said that Haki is able to stop devil fruit powers. So my question is: does it work like person with strong haki can hit logia user just like normal person? Cause when I think about this logis users (for example Ace) should be the strongest people in One Piece world, but at least 2 people with Yonkou rank don't have any df power.
Not only does Haki negate DF defenses (and maybe attacks), it enhances attacks and defenses. And it reads minds, and deciphers the arcane. It doesn't seem to cause hyper-regeneration or immunity to all diseases. I don't really know if it can heal wounds.
But it's not have or have not condition. In the fight with the Boa sisters, Luffy showed that his normal attacks can't hurt the sisters, but once he goes into Gear 2nd, he becomes a lot stronger and defeats them easily. That said, Margaret, who knows basic Haki, cannot fight and defeat Kizaru like Rayleigh can.
in white sea, Gan Fall said somethina bout "another way" of going to skypia called "High West" does anyone know what that's supposed to mean?

He travelled the grand line before meeting luffy, it's possible that he fought with blackbeard when he was in WB crew.
igetownd, I respect Brennen.exe as much as you do, I know who he is, I know how funny he is, I know that he knows his One Piece much better than I do, and that he has good imagination for theories.
That doesn't take away the fact that he shitted on my theory without telling me what's wrong with the theory.
He may be right with his theory, the fact is that he can't simple counter my argument with "lol, your opinion sucks".
Got it now, bro?
