Hey guys, I was wondering is it actualy said that Apoo is apart of the long arm tribe? Or was it just speculation? Also is it said anywhere that brook is on the island with the long arm tribe?

No it's not said that Apoo is from the Long arm tribe but it's pretty evident due to his long ass arms but yea that could be from something else.
Yes it was said Brook was on an island where a long arm tribe resides. The ppl who were summoning the devil said it, you can check the chap again. It has something to do with the Long arm tribe oppressing them in some fashion and them wanting revenge.
Zik.
Check Apoo's intro box.

I was going off my poor memory. I mean it's clear he's from the long arm tribe but I didn't know it was outright stated.
It was outright stated that Apoo is/was part of the long arm tribe, and I belive that those black sheep guys were being bullied by the Long hand tribe.. (But I'm not entirely sure)
You are talking about the Island that Brook went to right?According to Op-Wikia it says that they were being attacked by the longarm tribe, here
! it says Tenaga Tribe. I dont know if that is the tribes real name or if it's just Japanese for longarm.
I wouldn't trust op wiki… untill someone that knows japanese and read the raw comes in and says which it is I'm not going to consider it a fact.

[Namakura Island, Grand Line]
(Note: Namakura means dull or junky.)
[In the destitute land of Harahettania.]
(Note: "Hara hetta" means "I'm hungry.")
Lightning: (pshow!!)
Cultists: There it is…
...a DEMON!!!
We really did it... We summoned a demon with black magick...
Gaze upon his terrible form!!
Clearly a being not of our world...
Our desires will be made true... We will have our VENGEANCE upon them!!!
Vengeance upon the Longhand Tribe, who stole everything from us!!
O Satan, king of demons!! If you answer our prayers…
...we are prepared to offer our eternal souls in return!!!
We have nothing left!! May your bloody hammer smite them with fury!!!Circle: (gohhhh...)
Stephen says long hand.
No wonder I didn't know, Tenega wasn't translated in the one I read. I think that should have had an editors note.

Music techniques? It seems to me that if he's going to learn any techniques there they would be demonic arts like whatever Basil Hawkins uses.
^Or how about both?
Demonic arts and music techniques seems better than just one of the two. Given the plot for Brook's story he'll probably find away for both sides to find peace with one another and then learn something new from both sides…..

..mm, nah.
16 disagreements.
Personally I don't think Brook will learn any "demonic techniques", obviously the poor black sheep ppl failed in summoning their demon. So most likely their skill is inferior to nonexistant… What could he learn from them? What I hope he will learn is to play on his apearance. To really use his skeletal visage and act accordingly when it suits him.
why is zik always logged on
ha! i did it again hahahahhahahah
but seriously….. what do you think ace will say when he's see's luffy, i bet he's pissed off

I think that, that will ruin his character somewhat though. Part of his character is that even though he is a scary looking walking talking skeleton he in fact very easily frightened and scared himself. And even was scared of his own reflection.
Be funny though to see Usopp do a new "usopp spell" or something and Brook plays along and he does something liek he is raising the dead or something and brook walks into sight then.
Hinscher it can still be done with the humor intact imo. Just have him be out of breath and really frightened afterwards or break character in the middle of everything or something. He doesn't need to be a perfect hollywood horror movie monster.
Imo it has a possibility to work, but it might be tricky to do right.
Someone probably ask this before, but I really want to know the answer
Question:
If a Merman ate a devil fruit are they going to drown. I know they can breath under water but will the devil fruit cancel that or are they just gonna be really weak when submerge, I don't know? Maybe you guys have a better answer.

It can go a couple ways. People can't breath underwater so a DF user would die, since a fishman can they wouldn't die. Oda might make it that if they are a DF user they're very low on energy and can't swim, basically alive but paralyzed in the water. The other way I see it going is that the water weakens them a lot but not enough since a fishman is naturally 10x stronger than a human so they can still move around in the water. Basically making the "curse" of a DF not that bad of a threat.
Either way would be good for me but the latter is a nice way of not making it a plot hole and pretty sound reasoning and if Oda wanted to have some fish/mer person fight with their DF underwater it'd be cool(depending on what it is)…..

just a thought but what if a df works totally opposite on a fishman
like perhaps he is weak out of water
human in water with df = weak
fishman on land with df = weak
Cant wait to find out. wouldnt it be sick to see a giant with a df, gear 3rd would be on a global scale…..literally
I have a question.....are there any confirmed D's that are women (i cnt remember seeing one)

No there isn't any woman with a D confirmed up untill now.
It has been stated in the manga that the devil fruit will make its user a brick in water so probably human, fishmen, mermaid and coffee monkeys are all alike

i thought that the DF is an incarnation of a sea demond, or somthing along those lines.

It has never been specifically said what they are. DFs could be from magic, actual (sea)demons recreated in to fruits, aliens who were called demons that made them or can turn in to fruits after death, some type of science that was labeled the "devil's work" or some other fantasy based thing Oda makes up.
Nobody knows, everything you hear about the origins about DFs are either baseless theories, speculation, or something you confused with the two one shots of Romance Dawn.
"I once heard that all the Devil's Fruits are the Sea Devil's incarnations. If you eat one you'll gain a special ability, but you won't be able to swim."
-Shanks speaks to Buggy on Devil Fruits.
i gotta question
Define irony…......ha
Hi. I was reading the post-Alabasta chapters and saw this: http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/221/14-15/
Could someone tell me what are those monsters?Or has it been even revealed? I have been looking for answer but haven't found it.

Those are the shadows of the Skypeians that are cast all the way down from Skypeia.
It looks like they are giants, but it's actually just a shadow, as seen here. http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/299/12-13/
Okay thx a lot. I've been making a connection between them and the FT Monster, shame it didnt work out.
Question:
Why does no one use the South Bird to navigate in the Grand Line?
It would be so much easier than having to go to every single island.

maybe bacuse no one knows where islands are without a log pose. the south bird might let you go east untill you circle the world but it might not let you get from island to island because people don't know where the islands are in repects to each other.

Also, very important, because that would be a totally boring adventure. What good is going to the Grand Line if you want to get out as fast as possible. . .???

Maybe the person isn't looking for a stupid adventure but some damn treasure at Raftel?
@Zik:

The treasure at raftel will probably only be obtainable after having had a lot of interesting adventures, otherwise you are weak and seeing that whitebeard is the stogest man in the world AND closest to finding One Piece, I dare to assume that One Piece can't be found by a newb pussy wimp, btw, I am NOT going to look in what chapter it was said about WB but it has. I have other things to do then reread the entire One Piece manga over and over. . .
you might as well go the log pose way for the experiance, it'll make you stronger and prepear you for the new world, if you used the south bird and then got to the new world you'll be pwned instantly, and if your strong enought for the new world then why not that the log pose way anyway.
What about ppl. who don't want to go there. Traders that go from island to island. The birds WOULD be useful.
So the only answers possible is: Blame Oda

You don't need to go on adventures to be strong. Adventures really don't have anything to do with strength. Furthermore, I'm sure strength isn't the only thing required to find One Piece.
So yea a person who doesn't give a fuck about adventures would like the idea of using a South bird to just get to the end of the grandline.
Yall are assuming a weak person would do this lol.
the south bird might need a certain type of bug to eat, that means you have to stock up on the food for the bird.
that bird is to annoying to have:happy:

Again, just going with the bird would mean you are weak as hell when arriving in the new world, good luck with that, perhaps strength is not the only thing that matters but I think that yu will not make it if you are not . . .
It is the adventures people like Law or Kid or Luffy or Bege or Apoo or all the other SN had that made them as strong as they are . . . If they went to the NW without having any experience (see: GL = experience and strngth building) they would all be insta-powned in NW, now they might stand a bit more chance although they actually are still weak compared to the top tier. . .
maybe if franky can build an airplane powered by cola it would be easier to travel the whole grandline. wonder why vegapunk didn't think about those things lol

Who says that you need to be a pirate to travel the second half of the grand line? Ok there is a minimum strength that is required since this is actually the GL and crazy shit happens there. But you're basically saying that on the GL there are numerous pirates who will just kill you if they see you. It's not like everyone is blood thirsty there… I mean what is about people who just sell things on the GL. They travel from island to island and sell things.
But i must agree that basically if you are not strong to defend yourself you will probably die cause you can be victim of an attack. And more than everything you need food to survive there so you need to stop at islands so the chances are pretty good that you will run into a strong pirate group which would probably challenge you. I guess that if you're not strong you will just loose everything. But look at lola she managed to travel from the NW back to the old world. I guess that you don't need to have WBs level to travel the GL in the NW. (my thoughts on this. A lot of pros and cons)

And perhaps Lola only got out of the New world because of her mother
, we simply dn't know

This is a stupid statement.
I guess to you strong person can't get a hold of a South bird? Adventures don't mean you'll get stronger.
What you're saying makes no sense. If Mihawk felt like getting a south bird and going to Raftel that means he's weak? or BB? Such fuckin stupid logic.

that does make sense but no one knows ther raftel is, only roger got there.

Its not so much about getting to Raftel quickly but sailing with a south bird as your compass in a sense. I don't see how it makes a person weak.
the south bird also is not as relable in terms of life time. the log pose can break, but it does'nt need to be feed, looked after and so on. whats more; you can stock up on log poses but you cant have 20 south birds squarking on your ship. it's a conviniance thing.
@Zik:

because you apparently are a person that needs to always be right because you will keep whining about something I will say:
yes, you are right
Anyway, if the SH's would've had a south bird they wouldn't have been as strong as they are now and I think that is kinda hard to debate about (althought I truely have no worries about you still doing so) because the SH's might have encountered just as strong foes if they just went straight through the grand line which might be the case but seeing everyone in GL uses a log pose or almost everyone to go from island to island that seems highly unlikely.
Anyway, as of now I am in no mood to discuss this topic any further with you
oh, and btw, if was first of all using Luffy's logic and secondly talking about newbies trying to make it to Raftel or even to make it on the Grand Line and the further you get in the GL the stronger the enemies. If you have no enemies that make you stronger and go too fast so you haven't been able to train enough than you indeed will be too weak to make it.
i gotta question is one piece on raftel…RICHYY!!…... o i forgot its no fun to kno where the treasure is
Hey I have a question about Log Poses
In the Buggy arc, Buggy was really preoccupied with getting his grand-line map back. But he's been to the GL before and he would have known about Log Poses.
So, does one need a map to travel the GL? Or are they completely useless as a compass can't be used?
