I just started reading this recently, and I think this could turn into an awesome series. It runs in shounen gan gan, and is currently on chapter 13. Manga-Rain has scanlated the first two volumes.
The story follows six servants of Shinigami-sama, and a shinigami-in-training, as they collect and devour evil souls. It's something like a cross between The Nightmare Before Christmas and Shaman King, with lots of sex jokes thrown in. The artwork is very nicely done, particularly the sun and moon.

By reading the review there, it also have reference/similarity from Kisei-ju (Omanga scanlates it, iirc)

I heard some people on various forums have the first 31 chapters RAW, but considering I'm only a member here (and only wish to be a member here) getting it from them is a problem. The Good News: This place has chapters 17-27 The Bad News: It doesn't have 13-16/28-31. So I ask (with sincerity) does anyone know where I can find the rest?
As far as impressions of the manga, the fight between the girl with no skeleton and the girl with the huge scythe is crazy…

Perhaps I misread… but are you saying that the art style itself lends to a possibility of fanservice or that there is fanservice in the manga? Because from what I've read, it pales in comparison to Fairy Tail (at the least) and thus not even close to some of the worst offenders. If you're just writing it off because the art looks like it can adopt some fanservice (I suppose if you get off to people with no skeletons…) then... yeah. Dumb.
Also this manga is nothing like Parasyte.
It has fanservice in it's first ch. (or what i believe was the first ch.1) with the magic cat girl. Not to mention the guy who wants everything equal with two HOT COWBOY BABES who aren't similiar. I also couldn't stand that Blackstar or w.e his name was also yelling about how great he was and nothing more.
I meant the art was well drawn in some panels and fights that's all.
I don't really read Fairy Tail or any other fanservice stuff so I wouldn't really know which manga to burp my worm to.

this manga is good, i think it has a mix of character diff's. what i mean is that, take Soul for example, i should think he is the hero or so and his group is the rest of the pack, but then wouldn't it be more wow to have him as a tech instead of a weapon - thats the twist and then there is BlackStar, a very capable tech who seams to be taking the spot light and is really coming to a very good spot .
When we look at the rest they are included but there is this twist that make it a very diff manga than Fairy Tale, ES21, or something of that sort.
it has really good drawing like Airgear and nice depth but not as capturing and mysterious as Naturo Shippuden or One Piece or HXH

The next issue will come out in june (a bit obvious XD). May´s raw magazine came out in may 4th, so expect the june issue around those days. And no, chapter 49 isn´t translated (yet), but you can find the raw in the Soul Eater Anime thread

Well, for manga purposes, I will post here instead. Latest chapter was pretty awesome. Too bad there isn't a better scanlation, since some of the pages looked crappy. Overall though, I liked it. I hope their fight is concluded though, it has gone for long enough. Back to Maka and Soul.
Man, the Black Star vs. Mifune Round 2 fight is INTENSE. I got sympathy pain when Black Star purposefully jammed his foot into Mifune's sword. OW.
Can I give some applause for the artwork in Soul Eater? I really like it's edgy, sketchy style. It reminds me a bit of how Naruto used to look. Only with some of Bleach's splotchy ink-work thrown in.
Seriously. I'm loving the fight. Some of those pages were just awesome. The last few pages and their sketchy style are definitely worth some praise as well. Poor Black Star had two broken fingers for half the chapter though. Ouch.
definately gotta give Black*Star some props. While Kidd is out of commision and Maka and Soul seem to be boring up the joint at the moment, I'm very grateful for this wonderful fight.

This chapter was full of win. Seeing younger Sid and Kakashi Whitestar was awesome. This scan through is utter shit. I love the edgy art of Soul Eater and I couldn't take it in because of the horrible quality. But I will say one thing. This fight is going to rock balls if/when it gets animated.

Looks like, but he stops it with his sword. In the first cell it is going into his foot and he screams out, and in the next cell his sword is clashing against Mifune's to stop the force from driving it in further. Still, ouch.
As you can see I am not going to release this manga under Mahou-X no more I am just going to release it under my name from now on.

Damn straight! Soul Eater is a very entertaining manga. It's sad that the anime is only set for two seasons. We won't get to see awesome shit like Black*Star vs Mifune Round 3 animated.

Not really, a season is usually something with a hiatus to it. Like say Zero no tsukaima that has 3 seasons to it. And not all seasons are 12 episodes. Lots of the times they are in the 20's. Soul Eater is just one big season or series or whatever you want to call it but its not split up into different seasons. For something like this with 50 episodes your probably thinking of the DVD's which lots of the time have 13 episodes to them which would be called volumes though.
d. gray man was also initially a 52 episodes series, and look where it is now. so everything is possible.
But that's completely different, its a different studio and everything. D Gray Man is also a weekly manga while Soul Eater is a monthly so it won't work like D Gray Man did.

The fact that Bones are doing it who had already ruined FMA walking the same path. Also the fact that it's slotted for 50 episodes which will result in rushed, crappy endings. That and the fact that they had cut out canon material and replaced it with their own crappy material was the final nail in th coffin.

...What you said about FMA was true, and SE is the same, but when you look at it FMA's anime had it's fun points. The manga's much better though.
