I have, though I just brushed that off considering the nature of the film. The anime in question had a lovely scene where a squirming mass of maggots burst from cuts on a character's forearm that are implied to be from a suicide attempt, and then she starts scratching at them. It left a bigger impression on me, I guess.
Oh, and today I learned that whenever there's something that happened in the distant past that's unexplainable, blaming it on aliens is always acceptable.
