I already said this in the Discord channel, Im just repeating it around here, I was thinking that for this series in particular, It'll be a lot better if they release a chapter each week, instead of the whole season in one go.
I dont understand the business model of dropping entire seasons in one day, releasing one chapter per week, does keeps series relevant for longer periods and gives enough time for us fans to judge and critique each chapter separately.
I dont know if Netflix has done this before with any other series, I'm just really hoping they give it a try with such a big investment like this product.

The rubber CGI looks like shit.
Rubbery-elastic powers is kinda the achilles heel of cgi artists, no one has ever made it look good, just look at all the adaptations of Reed Richards ever, even the 3 seconds of screentime he shows his powers in Dr Strange, it looked bad.
I believe that in comparission to every other elastic cgi done before, this one looks... decent, besides, Luffy's supposed to look wacky and comical, Im already laughing by just thinking how Gum Gum Hammer is going to look like.
Ugh, I could probably live with Muppet Chopper, but human looking Chopper would be pure vomit.
Best option really is just to hire the guys who make Rocket Racoon for the MCU and give them 90% of the budget if necessary.
After all, Chopper wouldnt show up for a couple of chapters at the beggining during Laboon-Whiskey Peak-Little Garden, and he doesnt have a lot of focus in Alabasta either.
Just the Drum chapter(s), he'll get ton of focus and therefore budget, they can make it work I believe.
To add another point in the Drum is a must train. You can have Teach introduced there in Season 2, since he did invade the place.
Wow calm your horses down with that advanced CoO Robby, you gon give yourself anxiety with all those thoughts.
First, let's wait till season 2 confirmation, Im getting curious about who could they cast as Crocodile and what Chopper might look like, So I'll join the 'cautiously positive' team
Skypiea should be discussed, its a very fun arc with tons of endgame foreshadowing, and Eminem aint too old to play himself in a main villain role :P
Shabaody-Amazon Lily-ID-Marineford is a huge mess, not sure what they gonna do there, I wouldnt want to be working in this series if they do get there.
Really wish Buggy's hat was leather and not just fabric.

The simple fact that Imu hides himself behind a veil of deception and lies implies he fears for his life. He's "god" only to believers, he knows the world would rise up if the truth was revealed. To me, he's the ultimate pretender, a cowardly usurper.
I believe the he first joined an alliance to defeat an Ancient Evil. Then he convinced 19 other kings to betray that alliance and seize power to themselves. Then, when the 20 kings decided no one would rule alone, he waited all his peers to die out so he could seize the throne. And even THEN, he made his existence a secret, because if he was revealed as the ruler of the world, others would challenge him for his position.
I too believe Imu will end up being Spandam 2.0 personality wise.
But Im curious about how he fears for his life when he's presumably immortal.
Says フレイム
Not sure how much of a difference that makes

So Stephen has Garling as the former ruler/king of God Valley.
I Was going to mention the same thing, Spanish and French versions do not have him as God Valley's ruler.
And there was already earlier discussions about it on twitter.
Perhaps Sandman can also shed some light on this topic.

Still haven't seen the movie, just popping out to quizz if anyone is kinda amazed that the movie made absolutely no splash in my social network.
I been noticing this for quite some time now.
Thank God Oda didnt writte Lion King, Mufasa would've shown safe and sound at the end of the movie.
VegaPunk discovering the formula of good swordsmanship, its his greatest accomplisment so far.
Ghost was a fantastic character in Ant-Man, I'm glad she'll be back, and is also not dead(I'm assuming she disappeared with Thanos's snap).
At the very least, Sphinx is out of the question, it would be pretty redundant to fareawell Marco and then meet him again right where they're landing.
Not even mentioning Marco could have been given a ride by the sh's instead.
Amazonians seemed pretty man-hating, feminazi, incel-ish type, I'm impressed they're not questioning their lifestyle when their leaders are continuously falling in love with men.
I could never watch Black Panther 1 last fight between tchala and njadaka, cause well, its terribly cgi'ed, it does remarlably looks like playstation 3 cinematic fighting.
But the Saakarian spaceship that made them crash in she-hulk, jesus christ... They didnt even try at all.
I had king scorpion nightmares watching that.
What I mean was that Oda made a case so convincing and compelling with Yamato, that even deniers and neutrals came to admit that he had in fact, really good chances of ending up joining the crew, that was regardless of how much complaints and questions remained for the character to answer, at some point, we all came together to say, yup, thats the one, not even mentioning that deniers had their fingers crossed the last few chapters until 1057, thats never happened with any other post time-skip character at all.
So, Oda right here, had the actual intention to sell us all the idea of nakamization, which, as we keep going on, seems even more pointless every chapter.
We could've spent all that panel-time in several other characters.
I ain't enjoying current Oda's writting.
Whatever Oda wanted to accomplish by fooling us all with Yamato.
Some of ya'll arent considering Luffy's secret dream at all.
Its definitely very logical that aside from Mihawk, no one else among Cross Guild or the Red Hair Pirates represent like a real-real obstacle in Luffy's path.
It really looks like an endgame setup.
We havent heard what Teach and Co have been up to, a Totto Land invasion sounds too big to go unmentioned this far, so I dont know what to think of them.
I really hope Katakuri is not being troubled by a child kidnapper and some Ex-SS pretending to be Argentinians, he better does a powerful comeback next cover story.
@Shiebs said in Next Straw Hat Crewmates (Vol. 9 - Yamato vs. The World):
Well Carrot didn’t appear yet
I feel like this message will have to be repeated by 2023.
Absolutely exaggerated bounties for the Cross Guild folks, they have done nothing nearly comparable to completely dismantling a Yonkou organization like Luffy and Pals did, but I guess existing equals as much danger as beating up Linlin...
The only thing Oda has managed to do here, is dehyping the Worst Gen Trio bounties, those arent remarkable numbers, its just numbers you cant get by also doing nothing.
Very well done.
@BobLoblaw pffht, its not as impressive as towels.
Vivi being a secret prisioner of the WG doesnt help either.
Luffy would never know.
Welp, we already dodged Vivi and Sabo as prisioners.
We've never seen hybrid Mink+Something else.
People rather bang a fish in the OPverse apparently.
This is something we dont know at all cause evidently Oda doesnt care enough for the Minks to elaborate further.
We never knew if there was any familiar relationship between the previous Zou ruler with Inu and Neko, and neither we know if there's any between Inu, Neko and Carrot, we dont know if there exists a royal family at all. Chapter 1056 kinda implies that their usual methodology to choose a King is based on experience in the outside world.
That might be the reason why they're invoking Pedro's will, as the leader of Nox, and having explored several places in search for other poneglyphs, Pedro was very likely next in line to become a king, and in his absense, now is Carrot.
new forum format relieved you from sticking together all those volumes to make them fit into your sig Captain M.
Which I find a bit sad, cause I used your sig a lot to properly locate chapters that otherwise would´ve taken me some more googling.
vol 104 cover will be a mess, that I guarantee.
Duchess Carrot certainly feels like one of those decisions Oda takes on the fly and throws away as a 'no one could've guessed it', surprise.
Bassically how he has been writting most of Wano.
Oda did say he wanted readers to hate Franky initially.
Jinbro likes to keep himself informed, and was out of Wano until recently.
Along with Drake, those two could reveal some juicy information about what's been going on in the world.
She-hulk trailer reminded me of that pilot episode of Birdgirl, I'm surprised no one's making memes out of it(yet).
And also, I think Kevin Feige should be the one guy doing random cameos in every movie from now on, he's pretty much responsible for the MCU's success.
Since they don't seem to be taking on the Marines who are at the feet of Wano, I would say they are either still climbing of finally made it to the top. Or they just all drowned.
They're probably at different spots, since the one they're using takes you directly to be in front of Onigashima, while the other Luffy and Newgate used for example, takes you to Kuri .
Sasaki turned General Franky into scrap, that was pretty big deal tho.
Appearing in vol 100 is objetively more impressive and relevant, and in retrospective, it'll look really bad for a 'one-arc character' to be there, when it could've been easily avoided.
Also, her story-arc is not going the way of that Wano's going to garbage unless Yamato stays, the place is already very likely to be the 2nd strongest nation right after Elbaf, and arguably the first one if Momo learnt how to control Zunesha properly.
Not a single Wano-kunian has noticed or vocalized on the Wolf-deity, nor she has interacted with any scabbard.
The epilogue chapters are going to be quite decisive in this case.
We were riding dissappointment train since nika came to be.
Lets not pretend things were going flawless.
Poorest cgi by far in the MCU.
It felt like watching playstation 1 games just recently released.
It'll be really problematic if Yamato doesnt go up there to save Luffy, and share some words before he goes unconsiouss, cause essily he'll be unconsiouss for days if not weeks, I got huge expectations on it, but something as simple as Luffy finally calling her }Yamato{, would be more than enough, it'll go in accordance to what Oda said about Luffy remembering names.
She's not chained to Momo by Luffy's orders anymore, if she stays with him, it'll be by her own wishes from now on.
I been thinking Luffy will be the one introducing Yamato to the SH's, making a Parallel out of Oden joining Roger's crew, and as far as Luffy remains unconsciouss, yeah, I'm pretty sure Yamato's gon be doing literally anything else but not interacting with the SH's.
@Joy:
I still think that Kaido getting distracted because of Momo looking like Oden would be the best way to beat him. But Oda has to have Luffy being the golden boy he is. Oda has really fallen as writer and this arc is a prime example for many reasons. Whenever we got a glimpse of tension, Oda was sure to make it disappear right away
Oda made a very clear point that distractions end up giving them unstatisfactory victories.
I ruled out MomOden appearing in front of Kaido since then.
Yamato is 100% with Momo, or else there's no reason to keep showing their panels together.
Especially these ones, in which Yamato is reacting to Momo creating the clouds:
[qimg]https://i.imgur.com/QyAwP5K.png[/qimg]Also, Yamato yelling to Momo means they are at least close together, even if Yamato was not riding Momo at that point.
THat means nothing. "We" can mean "the raid", "our group", Yamato does not need to be in the island to use "we" there.
Second, the japanese original may not even have the pronomns, it may be just a translation choice.
It seems tho, Yamato is reacting to Luffy's punch finally being delivered, they're the only ones seeing it, thats why we only get panels of those two.
Since last chapter we have not seen a panel of them both together.
And the last page is(again) the most telling, since Yamato is like 3 meters tall and we see Momo's full body and Yamato's nowhere to be spotted, this is despite the fact, that Yamato was always visible when she was with him.
Already elaborated several aspects pointing out to Yamato already separated from Momo, the official translation gave one more.
Yamato says 'We're going down', whereas Momo says 'Onigashima is going down', much more clearly indicating one's up there standing in it, the other isnt.
Much more importantly, Yamato's mission to protect Momo is over, no more excuses to go back to Luffy and/or meet the SH's.
Luffy has overdone his stamina to a new unlocked level, he's terribly hurt, never fought so much before in his lifetime, and its very likely he's going unconsciouss(if it isnt already). And he's falling from cloud's level altitude, if any moment at all, this should be the one where Luffy must not be allowed touch the ground in said conditions.
And Yamato's absense in the last panel, makes it likely enough, that she'll be the one going to save him.
Wano's epilogue should indeed be heavily focused on Yamato, to address the several genuine points she's still lacking and make her recruitment more compelling and credible for all those still doubting her.
As for Momo, he has a promise to fulfill with Hiyori.
Regarding the Cover, its WCI they trapped in, the only people left behind that far were CC and Pedro, neither is super friends with the Vinsmokes, if any of those two help them, it would be cause they figured the same idea of getting their help to escape Totto Land, so I'm giving them 50/50 chances is one of them who set the book on fire.
There's still a long way to escape Totto Land, and I'm still sure Bruleé will get kidnapped at some point.
.
- The WG will likely continue to march in to occupy Wano, which will have to be deterred by the existence of Momo and the scabbards, it's curious that Oda has left at least half of the scabbards plus Hyo relatively well-rested.
No can do. As soon as the WG starts moving, Zunesha will tell momo and surely ask for permission to show'em who's boss, those guys are grounded.
I even find it likely that the Gorosei/Im already know the elephant follows the Kozuki's order.
Kaido is not wrong about things, he's just widely uninformed.
And it really is hard to me to imagine Momo consciously becoming a burden in Yamato's dreams. He strikes me more like the kind who would say 'go with Luffy, he's the right person to follow'.
BM sacrificed a year of her life to keep fighting the Worst Gens.
That makes is look like she was being serious in that fight.
@Joy:
Bad writing
Awakening itself was it all along.
Never trusted the thing.
. And he knows where the battle is taking place as of this moment, courtesy of Blackbeard who fed him the details. .
Teach doesnt know the battle is occuring in the sky at clouds distance.
I'm doing a quick reread of Thriller Bark, and this may sound presumptuous, but I think Oda had long foreshadowed how are they gonna ultimately defeat Kaido.
Lmao, still at it.
I originally thought he was going to show up, we've seen him a couple times, invading Teach and in the fb fighting Kaido, I also thought the whole narrative of The Death Coming for Orochi would materialize with all that people who died 10 years ago coming alive with Moria's powers, those that Ashura shown us the graveyards of.
But as of right now, its just too late, and there really are no signs pointing to his presence. Its not only that he would have to cross thru the Charlottes/WG grand fleet, and enter the natural defenses of Wano, but ALSO, he would have to know where the battle is happening, which heck, not even the Wano-kunians know about it, and lets not even talk about how he would get up there.
Its just better to end the battle now, stretching it will only make things much less satisfying.
I also thought the conflict with Ashura would remain until the end, since he seemed rather pissed the whole time, and they managed to piss him off even greater by making him the culprit of the food stealing in farms.
And then, out of nowhere, he was just there being friendly with the Scabbards with no apparent reason.
There would've been foreshadowing of his arrival already, and the two main entrances are occupied by the Charlottes in one side, Zunesha and the WG Fleet in the other.
