That Togashi comic was pretty damn funny I got to say, I also liked Oda being Nizuma Eiji, and I think he probably is closer to Nizuma Eiji then we think.

RE: Bakuman
Nakai hasn't necessarily done anything evil or morally wrong - he's just a complete buffoon and lowest of the low pathetic. For him to achieve redemption, he needs to change his entire attitude and perspective on his life and do a complete 180, which is something that happens in shonens all the time. So it's very possible he will be redeemed.
Yeah I agree, Nanamine was redeemed, Nakai can be as well. Although Nakai is way worse than Nanamine and while he isn't evil, God if he isn't perverted as all hell. And a fatass pig. And spineless, don't forget about spineless. It's just at first you felt sympathetic for him, but it keeps getting harder to really root for him. Ah well, we'll just see how next chapter turns out.

RE: Bakuman
@Sniper:
Yeah, he's not at rock bottom. He hasn't raped anyone yet.
There's no way they could get away with that in a Shonen manga. Antagonists in Shonen can do pretty much anything to a hero/heroine except rape, that's for Seinen manga.
Although it is possible Nakai could grab Aoki and come on to her, making it seem like he is going to rape her and AAAGH! I don't even want to think about that. Thanks for that mental image. God I hope that doesn't happen and thankfully I doubt it will, Hiramaru (and Fukuda) would never let that happen. -
RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
I like this Kubo Korner.
Q: Hey Kubo, what happened to Orihime's Shun Shun Rikka? Didn't they used to talk and stuff?
Oh God yes. The fairies, they were forgotten about eons ago, and probably will never show up again. Honestly, I never really cared for them, but I still hate when plotlines or aspects of the story are just forgotten about and never spoken again. It pisses me off.

RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
Kubo Korner
Q: If Zaraki could kill Noitora using both hands, why couldn't Noitora just use all of his arms together to kill Zaraki.
A: Because Zaraki used both hands and that's final!
Q: Why don't more Bleach characters stab their enemies in the head like Rukia did to Aaroniero.
A: Because they fight with honor!
Q: Then why did Rukia do it.
A: She's a woman, they don't have honor and that's final! -
RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
I guess your right. And wow I didnt know he was married to the creator of SM!!!! :O
If I recall correctly it says so on Wikipedia, and yeah I find that interesting too that two of the most famous mangaka of all time are married.

RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
Thats really odd… I mean I understand that he might be out of ideas but how will he pay his bills? It's just odd...
He's written a manga with popularity on par with Naruto and Bleach (but unlike those series it deserves its popularity, or rather consistently deserves its popularity) and before that he wrote Yu Yu Hakusho which was also very successful. And it helps that his wife is Naoko Takeuchi (don't know if I got the name right) who was behind Sailor Moon, the Dragon Ball of Shojo manga. Together they can keep their family fed.

RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
@Cyan:
Excerpt from Kubo's SBS (Known as Kubo Korner.)
Q: Kubo-sama, why did Tousen explode in a shower of blood when his whole schtick was following the path of less blood?
…
For that matter, why did he join Aizen to begin with?
A: Because it was cool - Kubo
Q: TiKu, how much thought and planning do you put into a chapter?
A: What is this "thought and planning" you speak of.
Q: Kubo, did Aizen's penis turn into a butterfly as well?
A: yep
Good stuff Cyan keep it coming. BTW which do you think is worse Bleach or Naruto Part 2, because I'm not sure, they both suck so much.

RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
HXH is still on hiatus? Why? is the mangaka alright? I mean like is everything good health wise? Is it still on jump?
They would probably cancel it if HxH weren't one of their most popular manga (when it actually comes out) and if Togashi weren't a veteran writer. And as far as I can tell Togashi isn't sick, he just won't get off his lazy ass and create the genius Shonen we all love. Or who knows maybe he's just really out of ideas and won't start writing again until he can think of something decent, in that case I must applaud him for actually trying to put good work in Jump, Kishi could learn from his example. And Kubo.
-
RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
@Sniper:
Irony! Tousen wanted the path with the least amount of blood…and then all his blood was all over his friends! :D
And yes, Kubo needs an SBS, 'cause I bet it would have some funny ass stuff.
Probably not intentionally funny like with Oda's. I've also thought about Kishi's SBS where he's asked "Kishimoto sensei will Naruto-kun be with Sakura or Hinata" and if Kishi were honest he would answer "Naruto is straight what planet is this". Of course the One Piece SBS tends to have a lot of really random crap in it, with equally random answers from Oda, but reading the SBS' make you realize how awesome Oda is. Probably wouldn't be the case with Kubo or even Kishimoto.
-
RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
Well, it kind of makes since they're both troublemaking blond kids. I'm pretty sure the woman who voices Naruto also voices Gon in the Hunter x Hunter anime, back when HxH wasn't on hiatus every 15 minutes so it actually sustained an anime.

RE: It's the TeamFourStar Thread with DBZ Abridged and Pokemon things
Wait, has there been a new DBZ Abridged Episode? Hot damn, I'm off to YouTube.
Just watched it, it was pretty goddamn funny. Guru is awesome, Ginyu is great too, and Goku is as funny as always.

RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
Hey, someone link me to the glorious collection of -CHARACTER SURPRISING OTHER CHARACTER FROM BEHIND- pic? I can't find it.
I need to prove a point to someone. And prove it well, I may add.
I remember looking at that longass picture and going "Oh God. Just. Oh God. When Will This End. When. It's Still Going. On And On." Seriously Kubo loves doing that. So much that it loses all impact whenever he does it.
-
RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
Aw, screw it. I feel like ranting with you guys. Here's my contribution:
-Tousen's logic will never make any sense to me. He vowes to bring justice to SS but willingly goes with a traitor. You call that justice? And he "follows the path of least bloodshed". Aizen's "plan" was to kill thousands of humans. That doesn't necessarily mean straight-up bloodshed, but it'd still be killing unarmed masses. And, and, even if Tousen didn't know Aizen's plan, I'm sure even he would be smart enough to assume that if his group wanted to dominate, it'd involve slaughtering their opposition….which would mean bloodshed. So yeah, somebody correct me if I'm off, but that's my complaint.
And it's a shame too because I actually thought Tosen had potential with his backstory.

RE: Bakuman
I like to think Eiji's "Bleach a long time" line, is a nice little diss by Ohba and Obata at Kubo and his horrid pacing, since they're good mangaka who I more or less respect.
Speaking of horrid, Nakai. I wanted to sympathize with him. I really, really did. But dear God, just read the chapter, he was licking Aoki's door for God's sake. He's as bad as Ishizawa (the one really creepy Moecon perv who tried to replace Mashiro and was rightfully Falcon punched by Takagi). But in happier news, Hiramaru kicks ass. We already knew that, but I think this chapter reiterates it. As he was driving in his pimp car, I shouted to the Hiramaru Mobile! It just amused me to say that. Next chapter looks good. -
RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
@Sniper:
My friend likes to say, "Gay-Suga Ten-Hos".
Real clever. I mean I hate Bleach as much as the next guy, but come on I hate when people go "Yu-GAY-Oh" or "Code Gay-ass". Gay people are fine by me, this is America dammit! As long as it's not hurting anyone, you can do whatever you like. Not to mention those jokes just aren't intelligent, they're something a 13 year old would come up with.

RE: Silver Spoon by Arakawa Hiromu (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Oh man, I love FMA to the ends of the earth. I'll definitely be following this.
Same here and I would check this out even if it were about sparkly vampires. As long as a great mangaka like Arakawa is behind it, it deserves a fair chance.

RE: Channel Awesome, AVGN, and other web review shows
Being stupid and doing ridiculous things is an actual theme of the show ("do the impossible", "when there's a wall in our way we'll smash it down", "I don't give a damn about XXX, we're Team Dai Gurren so fuck that shit"), so I don't see how that can be seen as an actual flaw.
I know it seems more along the lines that Gurren Lagann just isn't JO's thing. In which case she tries to be objective in her reviews not judging them by what she likes, but rather what intelligent people will like in anime. So she should have realized that all of the ridiculousness was completely intentional, and was the theme of the show. She may not have liked that theme, but she still should have realized that.

RE: Channel Awesome, AVGN, and other web review shows
@RobbyBevard:
When your tossing around GALAXIES, I don't think physics are really a priority. It was complete rule of cool. FLCL was much the same.
I hate it when people call out deus ex machinas and have no idea what it actually means. There were no deus ex machinas in Gurrenn Laggen, cause the rules of the universe supported the idea that unity and the indominatable human spirit could overcome all. The heroes getting ever stronger and bigger in scale and scope with nothing but passion behind them was one of the big themes of the whole series, and was an actual plot point by the end.
If you win the same way 25 times in a row, its not a cheat after the first time, its just the way the series works.
I didn't care for Gurrenn Laggen all that much personally, but then I grew up on the much more sedate and grounded Robotech. Also, the first I ever saw of GL was the final battle. Knowing the series is going to end with galaxy tossing, and also the big key death half way through, sort of puts the rest into a context going in.
Yeah, actually you're right about that, I was thinking "deus ex mechina's like when Simon suddenly gets new awesome powers after the deaths of his loved ones. I guess she's right but wait wasn't that just how the world works". And yeah if you just realize the world isn't supposed to make sense Gurren Lagann is awesome. The reason I felt it deserved 3 and a half stars (not 4 stars it's a bit too low brow for that) is because pretty much every episode of GL got me hyped up. Whenever I hear Libera Me from Hell, I remember Kittan's manly heroic death and tons of other epic moments. So yeah JO kind of messed up there, but she's generally a very good reviewer and I like her. This just wasn't one of her best reviews. But even then, I did agree with her about TTGL having great animation, music and undying PASSION! That's why I love GL the creator's poured their heart and soul into making this anime, and I can never fault anyone for that.

RE: Sucker Punch
That's even worse, you aren't helping yourself by saying you need to be drunk or high to enjoy a film.
I'm not saying about you liking the film or not, its just the fact you need to turn your brain off or as you've now said get it funked up to enjoy it.
I was making a joke about the drunk or high thing. Like the people who actually think this is a good film are drunk or high. I wasn't being serious dude. It's just when I first came out of this film I didn't think it was that bad (although I still didn't think it was good). But as I started to hear what other people thought of it, I realized I couldn't argue with any of the negative opinions people had about this film and that it did suck.
I guess it's more that I really wanted to like this film. Because it has dragons, robots, samurai's with machine guns, zombie Nazi's everything that could be awesome. But it just fails as a movie, and I already said that it proves Zack Snyder can't make a decent film unless he's adapting something great to begin with (Watchmen, in case you couldn't tell).
Essentially this movie made a good trailer, but by no means a good movie.
To reiterate, I was joking with the drunk or high thing. I'm sorry if you took me seriously. But it's okay, it's the internet -
RE: Silver Spoon by Arakawa Hiromu (Fullmetal Alchemist)
@RobbyBevard:
Maison Ikkoku was easily Rumiko Takehashi's best work, and its a complete slice of life romantic comedy. It has nowhere near the fame or broad appeal of Ranma or InuYasha, but it's still her best work.
Yeah but Ranma 1/2 wasn't anything amazing (from what I heard) and Inuyasha was so terrible one of my friends gave up on manga after reading it. Such is not the case with FMA which pretty much everyone agrees is one of the better, if not one of the best, Shonen in recent memory. So this probably won't be Arakawa's best work. But I'll still give it a shot, I for one liked Arakawa's humor in FMA I just thought it was sometimes placed in dramatic scenes unnecessarily (though she got better at it later on). So I guess a romantic slice of life manga isn't a bad idea, it's just my favorite manga are usually action series. But it's Arakawa, who wrote one of my favorite series, so it deserves a chance.
-
RE: Silver Spoon by Arakawa Hiromu (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Hmm…..I really, really, really want to like this manga, but chapter 2 was rather unimpressive. It wasn't particularly funny and I still have no clue what the plot will be rather than the episodic antics of an agricultural high school. Also, am I the only one that sees a noticeable difference in the art quality going from a monthly to a weekly series?
I will give this series a lot more leeway than others, just because of who the author is, but to be honest, it isn't really off to a good start.
Pretty much the same here, I haven't read the chapters yet, because I don't like downloading manga. But anyway when I heard Arakawa was working on a new series I was automatically interested. Then i saw that it was a slice of life manga, and my interest plumetted dramatically. I'm personally hoping there's more to the story than meets the eye and it will become an action series because we know that's what Arakawa is good at.
I don't know why she's apparently doing a slice of life series, maybe because she wants to do something different from Fullmetal Alchemist to show that she has range as a mangaka. I'm also going to give this series plenty of leeway because the writer is Arakawa. The woman has proven that she is capable of writing very good manga so I'm going to give this series at least 10 chapters before I drop it if it's not interesting. Well we'll see I'm hoping Manga Stream, Manga Reader or another site will scanlate this manga so I won't have to download it.

Gliblord that list you made about Bleach just made you awesome. You don't have all of the flaws but you did get the major ones I would say. Bravo Gliblord, someone had to do it, and it was you.

RE: Sucker Punch
Wrong. Stop saying things like that.
Horrible excuse. Ick, Ick.
I wasn't saying I liked the film or that it was good, just that it can be enjoyable if you forget about the almost nonexistant story and character development. Maybe if you have a little help from Mr. Vodka and Ms. Tequila. And good old shrooms, those are always helpful.
-
RE: Tiger & Bunny
You are worse than Hitler.QUOTE]
Yes I disagree with your opinion, so I'm worse than a bigoted dictator who brought about the deaths of over 10 million people in his lifetime and created neo-Nazi's some of the worst people in America. (If you don't believe me go to the Southern Poverty Law Center website on the Intelligence Files, you will learn a lot about how racist and anti-semitic some people in this country are, but anyway). No, I haven't watched this anime, but Aaronrules380 is my friend, he likes it, and I trust his opinion. I trust that he likes it for a reason, so I'm not going to let other people diss him. Because an attack on one of my friends is an attack on me as far as I'm concerned.
And you're an asshole BTW. -
RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
You know what? My favorite character in bleach was Ikkaku. The guy who was crazy like Ichigo, has a unique weapon, and achieved Ban Kai on his own, could've lead his own division but didn't because loyalty to Kenpachi, and holy fuck his Ban Kai is amazing.
then he loses to some fat whale asshole offscreen because he retardedly didn't bring out his Ban Kai. Now is completely gone. Bleach is all about fucking disappointments, man.
Ikkaku was pretty cool to be honest. I didn't really forget him, I just decided the joke would be funnier if there were 3 characters, oh sorry "7 great Bleach characters". But yeah there were a few others, I guess with how many characters Kubo creates in order to deal with writer's block, some would have to be good. Still, at most 10% of the Bleach characters are interesting or likeable.
And yeah that last part is completely true, it's amazing how you don't even get that excited for Bleach and it still disappoints you. I didn't care if Ichigo saved Orihime but I still wanted their relationship to change after he spents years (real time) trying to rescue her. But we all know how that turned out.
-
RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
I think the Hinata fiasco is just about the most heinous thing in the series right now. Really Kishi? Naruto doesn't spare her a single fucking thought? Zero follow up whatsoever? Fuck that noise.
Quoted for fucking truth. I'm still bitter even after like two frickin years.
-
RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
Man, I wonder if she would consider reviewing Bleach…
But I guess the same logic of "terrible" applies.
She gave up on Bleach a long time ago, because every review would be the same thing over and over again.
That and there's almost nothing to review in current Bleach chapters. -
RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
Maybe I'm just butthurt Neliel was forgotten so quickly. I had so much fanwank hope of her becoming an important ally, with an interesting dynamic whereby she was much stronger than Ichigo and had a strong desire to devour his soul that she had to suppress, all the while feeding Ichigo important information about the inner workings of Aizen's army, despite being conflicted about helping a shinigami. I also had hope the reason she was kiddified would be explained to satisfaction.
Ahaha. I hadn't known that Bleach was in fact a series of perpetual disappointment just yet.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Hey. Neliel and Yoruichi too.
Yoruichi I'll give you, but I never really cared about Nel. She more interesting than the other Espada sure, but that really doesn't mean anything. That's like saying which dirty sock was the best, who really cares. But if you want to like her, go on ahead, it's better than if you liked Ulquiorra. I also thought Ishida, Rukia, Chad and Renji could've been pretty cool and didn't really become unlikeable. It's more that Kubo couldn't even remember 4 of his main characters!
-
RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
@Tokoro:
At least in the Kenpachi fight it sort of made sense…for him. It wasn't as stupid as the other two getting their "perfect opponent" (Zommari getting a guy who can control millions of blades at once, Szayel meeting a mad scientist crazier than himself)
The Mayuri vs Szayel fight is actually one of the only fights in Bleach post-SS that was actually awesome. Well, only really the end, where Mayuri kills Szayel in the most brutally, sadistically awesome way imagineable. Mayuri was one of the few Bleach characters that I actually thought was awesome all the way through.
I like to phrase it like this. There are all sorts of Bleach characters that were awesome when they were introduced and stayed awesome. You've got Zaraki and Mayuri and Zaraki and Urahara and Mayuri and Zaraki and Urahara. That's 7 characters right there. Wait.
-
RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
Yeah, where IS Gabz and her reviews?
She said she's not reviewing Naruto anymore, because it's just not fun anymore. I don't see why she (apparently) isn't reviewing One Piece anymore, those reviews were good too. I still wish she would post again.

RE: Tiers of manga.
Baccano! isn't a manga.
At least, if it is, it, like the anime, is also an adaptation of the light novel. Most people watched Baccano! as a series, and as far as ANIME go, it's in my top 10.
But I can't IMAGINE that the manga would be better than the anime was.
I watched 7 episodes of Baccano! What I watched was pretty good, my favorite parts being whenever Ladd was killing people. At first I really didn't know what was going on, but as it progressed it did start to make more sense. I should really get back to watching it, it did seem to have a good cast from what I saw.
Edit: I have now watched every anime episode of Baccano! IT IS GLORIOUS! -
RE: Channel Awesome, AVGN, and other web review shows
I recently watched JesuOtaku's review of Gurren Lagann where she gave it 3 stars. She rightfully praised the animation and soundtrack of TTGL and its raw passion but knocked it down a peg for being really stupid and ignoring physics. Ultimately she gave it 3 stars and I personally believe it should have 3 and a half stars, but I can deal with the reality that not everyone has the same opinion as me. I get her argument of it being nonsensical and riddled with deus ex mechina's but I still think that it's one of the most passionate anime ever created. And that makes it 3 1/2 stars IMO because the writers, directors and animators all worked their hardest on it because they wanted to make something great. Just like a Studio Ghibli film, or One Piece for that matter. My favorite stories are the ones where the writer genuinely cares about what they're creating.
-
RE: Sucker Punch
This movie can be enjoyable if you don't care at all for story or characters and just come purely for the spectacle and hot chicks. It's definitely not a good movie but it can be a good viewing experience. I do think it does prove that Zack Snyder can't really write a good movie if he isn't adapting from something else.
-
RE: Tiers of manga.
Does anyone know anything about Hiromu Arakawa, the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist's, new manga that's going to be in Weekly Shonen Sunday. I know it's called Silver Spoon and I've seen some pictures but I don't know anything about the story or if anyone has scanlated it.
Does anyone know anything about it? -
RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
I miss Gabzilla, she was a good poster and it's been more than a month since she posted anything. :(
And as for the anti-Bleach blog, I so want in on that action.
-
RE: Tiger & Bunny
You also think bleach is good.
No he doesn't. He hates Bleach like most people on this forum do. Real clever saying he does in order to insinuate he has terrible taste. Does anyone on this forum actually like Bleach?
I'm reminded of Godwin's Law which is basically the idea that when two people have an argument and one person can't think of anything more clever they say the other supports Hitler. Among Anime/Manga fans (with half a braincell) there's Kubo's Law which is when someone can't think of anything more clever in an argument they say that the other likes Bleach. And I don't watch this anime but I would imagine that the flaws you mentioned have to do with it being a parody of superhero fiction. Of course I don't watch it but that's my two cents.
-
RE: Toriko
Wait, how do you know I like Watsuki's master work?
You said so in the Manga Recommendations Thread. And I don't know if I'd call it a masterwork but RuroKen is a pretty good Shonen from the 8 volumes I've read and I'm planning on reading more. I really don't get why people hate on it so much, it probably isn't on par with Lone Wolf and Cub and Vagabond but it's not really trying to be. It just wants to be a good Shonen it's not trying to be one of the greatest comics ever.
And Watsuki is a good mangaka as far as I'm concerned. I like him.
I don't know what this has to do with Toriko though. -
RE: Bakuman
Speaking of which we haven't seen a lot of Niizuma lately.
I know, and I want him back. He is a close second favorite behind Hiramaru.
And Nakai and Hiramaru are going to fight. This does have great potential. Bring Me My Chapter!
BTW a bit off topic, but does anyone know what the hell Niizuma's hair color is? Is it brown, red, reddish brown, maroon, purple! I have no clue. And I don't think anyone knows for sure. Ohba is generally pretty inconsistent with hair colors, Mashiro's hair is sometimes blue, other times black with blue highlights. Aoki's hair has been brown and blond at different points. Azuki's hair can be black, dark brown or even red.
So I guess Bakuman character hair colors are what you make of them. I don't really care about a character's hair color tbh I just like to know for sure what a character's hair color is.
But eitherway Niizuma Eiji is awesome no matter what. For now I'm going with brown hair of a somewhat reddish shade. -
RE: Toriko
Were you really thinking I was against women's rights because of my statements? I can't believe you.
Not really, it's just your comment with the way it was worded it could be interpreted in that way. I was hoping you weren't because we both like Rurouni Kenshin and us RuroKen fans need to stick together, because that series is pretty underrated on this forum.
-
RE: Toriko
Beauty is main priority for women.
Okay please explain yourself. I'm hoping you don't mean that and you're just talking about how that seems to be the priority of a lot of mangaka. Because if that's what you really think of women, then I look down on you. I'm a guy I just believe in the basic concept of feminism, which is that men and women are equal. I have no problem with that it seems reasonable to me. After that, feminism gets more excessive and starts to not be so equal, but the basic concept is fine by me. I'm not a hardcore crusader for women's rights, but I believe in respecting women.
Also I miss Rin. -
RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
To me the series definitely jumped the shark at the Nnoitra fight.
Me: Shit yeah, Neliel is going to wipe the floor with a released Nnoitra without even releasing! This is going to be so fucking crunk–
Neliel releases into a stupid goat thing
Me: ...
Neliel reverts back to baby form for no reason
Me: WTF.
Kenpachi: I'm here to save you Ichigo.
Me: Huuuuuuuuuh.
Four straight chapters of Nnoitra and Kenpachi essentially just slashing at each other
Me: Booooooring.
Kenpachi: I'm going to defeat you with that technique!
Me: HO SHIT YES IT'S HIS RELEASE--
Kenpachi: BOTH HANDS.
Me: Yup the shark has been jumped.I know and all the Bleach fans talk about how awesome that fight is but it was honestly pretty bad, not as bad as what came later, but not good. The way it ended was pretty dumb. Maybe you could forgive it because of Rule of Cool like "Zaraki is so badass that using both hands is all he needs to defeat an enemy" but it would have been so much better if he had a new attack.
-
RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
Oh. Dear. Whitebeard. I imagine in the depths of Hell the Bleach musical is used to torment only the most deranged, violent psychopaths to walk this Earth. No matter what they've done I feel bad for them, having to watch that for all eternity.

RE: Fairy Taint Discussion II
Hey everybody I'm on Naruto Forums right now so I can find some of the idiotic reasons people like Naruto, Bleach and Fairy Tail. There was a "debate" about who was a better mangaka Oda or Mashima. Obviously I knew that it was Oda and I said Oda beats Mashima at pretty much everything story, characterization, art, pacing, fights everything. And one user said that Mashima drew better women as if that meant anything to overall quality. I personally prefer Nami and Robin to Lucy and Erza but that's irrelevant, Mashima doesn't really draw great women it's more that he's a pervert and has very undignified fanservice. Oda also has quite a bit of fanservice but I'm comfortable with his level of fanservice, he retains some dignity and doesn't come off like a total perv. He actually has a really good story and world beyond his fanservice (there was hardly any fanservice until they got into the Grand Line) while Mashima doesn't. And it doesn't hurt Nami and Robin are really good characters beyond being fanservice unlike Lucy and Erza. (Well, Erza did have kind of a character and was one of the more tolerable FT characters but anyway). Point is Oda dominates Mashima at everything.

I like the colors… I think the cover is pretty good.Wow, that's a cover to rival One Piece, too bad about the content that's actually in it.
I didn't think much of this chapter, it certainly wasn't terrible but it wasn't good. But on Naruto Forums most of the posters are giving it 10/10. Damn Narutards. I've actually joined Naruto Forums so that I can troll the Narutards and Bleachtards there. Sounds like it could be fun. -
RE: Felch Discussion Part 4
LMAO Strawhat Chan.
@ Loledinmypants I think we found out Kubo can't write a long time ago. -
RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
Really enjoyable chapter. I also hope that Kishi will realize that people like Rock Lee and he'll do something with him. But Lee is such an awesome, underutilized character that I won't be satisfied until this Kenji Tairo guy or whatever is allowed a weekly manga with better art. And I'm hoping that it will become more serious while still keeping it's comedic tone and thus giving us the Rock Lee manga we've always deserved. Essentially it'll be what Naruto should've been (or should've remained) an awesome, fun, touchy feely manga because it focused on a good team. I know it won't happen but a man can dream.
