Ah, great! Thanks for clarifying!
Anything worth knowing about Film Red or the live action, or just more hyping them up?
nothing new
the cast one page, oda's comment another
movie poster on one page, the comments on the other
That feels like the safest bet, but it still feels a tad off. The last poll only took up 6 pages of space at the end of volume 87. Plus the usual 6ish pages of fanart and 2 - 4 pages of ads for merch and there's still at least six pages left over. Maybe if the full version of the WT100 illustration is done over multiple spreads at the back there…
Either way, there's legitimately never been this much extra space after the last chapter of a volume before so I'm very curious about the reason
8ish pages of usopp gallery
the wt 100 color spread
2 pages on live action
2 pages on film red
2 pages on the One Piece Fruit figures
2 pages on knowledge king contest
What's this bit with Bellemere about, anyway? I am curious.
Hi Oda-san, most would think OP fans are mainly young people, but there're plenty of housewives like myself who have to make dinner everyday that are fans too. Is it alright if we make a fan club consisting of housewives?
Oda: Of course of course! Here here, take a seat. No need to rush. We treat people, especially the ladies and those of the Parent Teacher Association, with utmost respect. That's what the manga One Piece does♡

Luffytaro
Sketches of Luffytaro with OTama on his back. Early sketches have him wearing raincoat and sandogasa, with toothpick in his mouth, making him even more similar to "Kogarashi Monjiro"!
Zorojuro
Since his design was already like a samurai, there wasn't that much new stuffs on his new design sketch, except for the knot on his head like a samurai.
O-Nami
Scene where her unwillingly accept the kunoichi outfit created from Kin'emon's ability and unpublished scene of her outfits.
Usohachi
Notes on him being assigned the job to gather forces for the raid and sketch of him wearing the armor for the raid were discovered.
Sangoro
The new design sketch of Sangoro basically just has a hair knot on his head in comparison to Sanji. But there was also a sketch of him posing with a long coat on his back.
Osoba Mask
Design arts of Osoba Mask, formerly known as Stealth Black. You can see a lot of thoughts were put into what the hairstyle gonna be like after he puts on raid suit.
Chopperemon
It seems that riginally he was not a ninja but rather a Lord like design. Also includes design for his human form.
ORobi
Her dignified beauty is the same even looking at the sketch. It looks like that there was originally going to be a scene where a grim Robin faces a woman that seems like Komurasaki.
Franosuke
Sketches of him in a craftsman happi coat and design of Minatomo's pattern were discovered. It was also confirmed from this design art that Kaido's headquarter Onigashima was originally going to be be call Ryu(dragon)gashima.
Bonekichi
His design has the same usual outfit, it seems that it went through a lot of changes to become the yokai clothing he wears in the manga.

From a Shonen Jump book that came out on April 5th, basically an interview with many mangakas on drawing manga
@Johnny:
I've always found it amusing that you have a dragon, a tiger, a phoenix….....and then a turtle. XD
Like, not even an alligator snapping turtle, just a friendly ol' sea turtle.
Zhuque is actually different from a phoenix
and Xuanwu is not a sea turtle, more like a pond turtle, but definitely not just an ordinary one lol
at least better than a fish
Does anyone know how they'll update some data like bounties? I mean, how are they going to add ex. Big Mom's bounty to the card? They'll made a whole new one (maybe with her Wano outfit)?
Not sure if they'll change their mind, but here(inside every package) they said you can write it in yourself
By the way, did the underlings imply they caught others before? Probably another loser…maybe Penguin?
Probably talking about this
I think it wouldn't be bad to wait for the one piece podcast since they'll probably have Stephen to go through the SBS questions
some interesting info from the magazine :
- duval who looks like sanji before getting handsome surgery was wearing iron mask to hide his identity , sanji who looks like duval was wearing iron mask to hide his identity as a member of vinsmoke , this was a hint from the author regarding sanji past
[qimg]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EhwwUZSX0AAGUp5?format=jpg&name=small[/qimg]
- if you look very closely at the medical equipment that Whitebeard was using , you can see a familiar sign , is there any connection between Whitebeard and Doflamingo ?

1, they didn’t said Sanji looks like Duval
2, they didn’t said it WAS a hint from the author
they said “On the other side we have Sanji who has a tragic past of being putted on an iron mask to hide his identity and was thrown in jails. The appearance of Duval wearing the iron mask MIGHT be a hint at Sanji’s hidden past.”
3, regarding the Whitebeard part, last sentence is “Though we don’t know if there’s any relation, it looks very similar to Doflamingo’s symbol…?”
I think these might just be op magazine editors analyzing what they see(Kinda like Greg?) and are not meant to be taken word for word as absolute fact.
Piece of Dream request: "If Vivi was a commander of the Warring States period…"
Oda: Vivi as a Warring States commander?! Interesting! I want to draw it! Let's add Karoo in it as well! I'm sure the samurais would risk their lives for Vivi!! in one of Jimbei's early sketches, Oda wrote "good relationship with Zoro"

Do we know how many 'Heroines' short stories we're going to get? I miss some long plot about how main charas began their journey.
we don't know, but according to the magazine twitter account there'll be a part 4 for Heroines on the next magazine
Oh cool. I remember looking at the raw pages on how they put the volumes together, but I never saw that snippet actually get translated. Good to know!
Deciding the Spine:
When the volumes are lined up on the shelf in the bookstore, what grabs people's attention are their spines. We put a part of the cover on them, and alternate between showing one and multiple characters. This was just a coincidence until the editor noticed it and made it into a pattern they follow.
It's hard to parse the logic of what goes into the spine images, and we're probably wasting our time trying to work it out, the Doflamingo absence or anything else. We don't even know if it's Oda who chooses them. There's too much we don't know to really sort out a pattern.
we do know that it switch between putting one character and multiple characters on the spine (confirmed in magazine 9)
Is that 2nd translation the same as the first? Feels like this was more about the contents from the mag making an OP reread more interesting and not about the story being close to it's end
This magazine is titled “Suggestions for Rereading”, the first translation is of the advertising line and it mentioned the end solely to make people want to reread the entire series, it doesn’t necessarily has anything to do with the magazine’s actual contents
I think that's the exact one I saw. Is it actually completely confirmed to be Oda's work?
Saved for future reference in any case. Thanks!
That’s an early world map
There’s a more complete version of it in magazine 9

NOTE COLLECTION Early Ideas Edition

They’ll also have a rivalry ranking in magazine 10
Reason:One day, when editor F of One Piece Magazine said “the rivalry between Luffy and Kid is the best”, their boss asked them to correct their statement since “Laboon is the only one that was declared to be his rival”(chapter 104)
source:
There's a picture out there somewhere (can't believe I didn't save it) of one of Oda's own notebooks with GLAND LINE written in it, so yes, obviously retcons of all existing translations are in order.
probably something similar to this
What a ****ing chapter. I'm looking for the cover with Jinbe in HD, could somebody help me find it?
like this?
Has the three eyed homie that is holding Nami appeared in a previous chapter? Because I don't remember seeing him before and I just find it interesting that such a homie exists because it would mean that has taken some of Puddings life.
Does last chapter counts?
Has anybody mentioned that Izo somehow grew so much compare to his original height?
In the Vivre Card his height stated 192 cm (6'3"), but he is clearly taller now (same height as his brother Kiku, who is 287 cm (9'5")).
In the chapter the biggest proof is when he grabs Kinemon's hand.
Ashura is supposed to be 544 cm and look how tall he is standing next to them.
And also (btw Momo is 110cm and Kanjuro 347cm)
Momo's memory of Luffy seems to reference chapter 701, but his talons getting in Luffy's mouth wasn't onscreen in the manga, and the wording is slightly different. "I'm gonna be the King of the Pirates one day" in chapter 701 vs "one day, I'm gonna be King of the Pirates" here. Oda's mistake, or a quirk of the translation? I wonder if it'll be changed for the volume release.
701: おれはいつか「海賊王」になる男だ ばーか!!
986: おれはいつか海賊王になる男だ!!
Not much of a difference on Oda’s part
@.access:
I think Sengoku actually got Stephen's intention right here, I feel like we are supposed to read it as if she kept emphasizing those bold words (she keeps doing it on the next page and there is nothing "old lady"-like in "another family issue, then?" Actually there is nothing old lady-like in any of them, using "the nerve" is very common as a catchphrase (even I throw a "the nerve!" in conversations with my friends despite english not being our language)). Think of it like an annoying teenager highlighting a word in every sentence.
However, I agree with Vongola_Boss. If the intention was making her sound like that, it definitely didn't worked given the written format (specially since we have Who's Who getting a bold word on the same page). And if it was making her sound old lady-like or anything else, even worse. I was particularly annoyed at this bit because I got a good laugh at this scene before and here it just didn't work at all.
I don't think it's those bold words, hopefully Stephen would explain
What's Ulti's new speech pattern? I don't get it yet.
@Vongola_Boss_XI:
Also, they kept in the joke about Ulti's speech tic (Page One's annoyance at her speaking in a 'trendy' way), but removed the actual tic. It really doesn't make any sense.
Yeah, this is pretty weird. I have no idea what the speech tic is supposed to be. I hope Stephen will clear that up because I feel in the dark.
She says ありんす(arinsu) at the end of her sentences, something an oiran would do, if you watch the anime you would notice that Komurasaki speaks in that manner as well.
And Stephen translated it as a kind of “old english lady”(?) tone, “He’s ever so obnoxious” “Why, the nerve of that beastly man”
This means they count his life as a toy too
I mean they always did, he’s 44 on vivre card as well
So this means he was Gladiator at age 5 ? We knew that he was gladiator at age 15 , unless they count his life as a toy which is 10 years it will be correct
He is 15 29 years ago
Thank you
I think there is one mistake I do not know if it is from you or the Magazine but Kyros is 34 Years Now Or 44 (Chronologically) .
Birth here is referring to his accomplishment which established him as the legendary gladiator, not literally kyros
Not super familiar with any of the others, besides seeing Ashley Wood's art in Zombies VS Robots, but those Time Bokan mechas immediately stand out as an influence. Half of them could come straight out of the Sunny's Soldier Dock system with zero alterations and fit right in.
well….you might recognize Wood from somewhere else

There is a new name for certain kingdom Called Yukali from more than 100 years , Robin knew about it During the 2 years .
More info: the Yukari civilization is a small city state/kingdom, it was clearly stated that it exists during WG’s time(and it’s area is under WG’s rule), so it’s not the Ancient kingdom. It’s said to have been destroyed after being absorbed by the surrounding big state
- When Robin has arrived to Sabaody Archipelago after the Time-Skip, Sabo was with her! He choosed not to meet Luffy and asked Robin to hide all of this.
Correction: Robin thought he was going to ask her that but instead he asked her to take care of Luffy
if Big Mom and Newgate got their own color themes, I suppose Kaido is going to get his, once his full crew is revealed.
It’s green

I hope someone can translate it or make a summary
Eisaku said he’s not the type of person who really watches anime or read manga, so he was worry if he can do it but of course he had heard about one piece and its world. Apparently the director of this cm project is a huge fan, and everytime Eisaku would receive “lectures” on how he should do the characters from him.
Part on character design
Oda: I can feel your tremendous commitment. I’m sorry, considering the number of characters, it must have been difficult for you to draw
Eisaku: Well yeah, it really does have an incredible amount of characters (lol)
Oda: I like creating characters, I like designing them. I would create a character and later be troubled by it. Sometimes I don’t really have a use for certain characters but then there’s the feeling that “since I created them, I have to use them”.
Eisaku: For those kind of characters, would you make design tables for them?
Oda: I don’t go that far, I’ll briefly draw some rough sketches, and that’s generally how it goes.
Eisaku: So, it’s like you remember details such as their body shapes when you draw them?
Oda: No, I don’t remember them. For those main characters who have actions all the time, I’ll remember them eventually, but for the jumble of characters that I created, I’ll draw them as I look back at past sketches and data.
Eisaku: Make sense considering the amount of characters you have.
Oda: It’s weird when you thought you remember and draw things based on that, like you forget about the wounds and scars that’re supposed to be on their face and body; it’s always those type of mistakes, to the point that it’ll be faster if I just check them from the start.
Eisaku: I see, that’s how it is. I was wondering about how you managed to create such amount of characters.
Oda: That is because I like to, really.
Oda’s favorite cup noodle flavors are normal and seafood.
It’s becoming more of a translation discussion thread than a chapter one lol

Whoops, you did. I saw the text above the pic in your post but missed the line below it lol
Still a little dubious about the whole thing. Like, it can't be that important if they're showing it off here, and yet it seems like it should be.
I agree, I personally believe those are just ideas.
The magazine is really vague on this topic as well and I paraphrased “There exists the possibility that they might just be early ideas. But what if they hold a bigger meaning to the actual story…..?”
I think we need more info about the Marshall sisters to consider them a big canon reveal. What does the text nearby say? What's the preface to this section of the magazine say? For all we know at this point they could be clearly outlined as a scrapped concept or had their importance reduced significantly since this drawing was done. They don't look as impoverished as Teach did as a kid, and we know that design was locked in a long time ago. Is that significant, indicating their circumstances changed suddenly, or that Teach was separated from them and ended up in a far worse spot, or just another sign they're from a prototype backstory that'll never see the light of day.
Consider me skeptical about their role and importance until there's more info about when and why this sketch was done and in what context its being released now.
These devil fruit designs are pretty nice though. Be cool if the magazine lasted long enough to give us a full catalog someday.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Oh god another one appears the moment before I hit post. We need some context, not more surprise Marshall family members!
Didn’t I post the translation with the pic?
