….Broly was never canon though? None of the movies were. The only ones that fit at all were 5, 9, and 13. (Cooler, Bojak, and Hildegarn) and those mostly because they took place during timeskips. All the rest have issues with character having moves or forms they shouldn't or random people being dead or not dead when they should have been.
(And the Dragonball movies were straight up complete alternate reality retellings that didn't even try to pretend they fir the timeline.)
GT isn't canon either, it's been explicitly eliminated with the de-aging of the Pilof gang, but no one complains about that.
Well, clearly the OVAs were never canon in the first place, but if they are going to reintroduce a concept from one of them they may as well act as if the OVA (or part of it at least) existed in the first place.
While I know Broly is considered a dumb character the concept of the legendary saiyan was always interesting and they are making it a disservice by the way its being introduced. Not like I expect anything of quality from Super since its nearly at GT's level, but it kinda sucks that this would stay as the "official" version.
