Welp. Wrestlan here I come.

John Cena vs The Rock.If ya smmeeeeeeeeelllll what wreslemania is cooking.
Wow, The Rock! Who would have thought. However, I can't help but think that if he continues, the WWE will ruin him because sadly, times have changed.
the NXT/Superstars/SD event was Amazing.
It did change my mind on a few of the ways the show works though
Got to see Santino, Tyler Reks,Big show and Mysterio walk in the truck/bus parking lot to where the tunnel entrance is to the arena before the show started
(soon as someone spotted mysterio walking to the buses, the whole North side of the arena started chanting mysterio and 619)
Dark Match was Ted Dibiase vs Percy Watson
I will post pics soon of some of the matches and stuff ….but 1 thing i must say:
Watch the 600th episode..Its a big event and something not to miss
EDIT: going through my pics..some went blurred and some went too dark but at least a few are fine
EDIT:
this is how far back i was from the ring
!
got a good closeup of the ring too before the event near the barricade

Ruin him how exactly.

Looks like you had a pretty good seat from where you could see the matches.
FEDOR LOST AGAIN….bummer.
Ruin him how exactly.
Force him to act silly, make him lose in matches (if he does actually wrestle) etc. I don't want that. The Rock was and always will be "the people's champ" to me, as long as he's in the WWE.
MiniLuffy, are you even old enough to have seen anything from The Rock's great period? It looks to me that you are acting as if you saw Rocky turning in The Rock or something
Plus, The Rock losing matches is not a bad thing, he's not gonna stay here for long, why would any person hate on The Rock losing to and putting over The Miz or to John Cena aside from Nostalgia or from pure Smarkyness "Peer" pressure.
And The Rock has always been silly in one form or another.
Not like it matters, The Rock ain't fighting, he's said it times and times before he doesn't have the body to fight anymore, he's probably gonna have a nice promo with John Cena and maybe The Miz and that's it.
stupid commercials took out the Edge chant that happened after the firing.
Now since this segment aired …I wonder whats going to happen next week.
and now that SD has aired..all I can say about tonight is.
History has been made!!!!
!
What youre missing after the show ended: Teddy Long came back out and told vickie she was going to be escorted of the arena by Security. Dolph didnt leave so teddy said he had special security for doplh, which ended up being the Big Show.
Dolph punched big show, which in turn, Big Show used his knockout punch to KO dolph and took him out of the arena over his shoulder.
Also there was a Edge promo about San Diego.
Good grief. Edge sure knows how to pad his World title reigns.
Too bad Ziggler had to become a recurring victim of his "reign of terror".
True, but he IS a former World Champion now. That's still a big deal. He'll have to win it again eventually, because I'd be really disappointed if WWE were to let someone become World Champ just for convenience of plot…

I'm not old enough to have actually seen The Rock's prime when it actually happened, you're right. But then again, it's not like it really aired when it should have in my country.
Here's my story.
I watched wrestling back when it was still in its so-called "Attitude era". I only watched WWF (Raw is War & Smackdown, I didn't get to see any PPVs, because they never aired them). It's true that it was already past my time to watch anything good and the WWE was already going downhill, but I still got to see many superstars such as The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Kane, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Big Show, nWo, Edge, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Booker T, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, The Dudley Boyz, Rob Van Dam, Test, even Rikishi, Tajiri, Taz and many, many, MANY others that I'm sure I'm forgetting AT THEIR BEST. It was 2003, I believe, when they officially stopped airing WWE shows in my country, because many angry mothers were about to sue, because their kids stayed up late to enjoy the awesomeness that was wrestling back then (they usually aired at around midnight). I was furious to say the least, but there was nothing I could do, wrestling just disappeared from my life. Memories of greatness remained in my head.
Then, in what I think was the beginning of 2006 a new channel decided to give the WWE a chance. I was so excited to see all my favorite old wrestlers that I couldn't wait. Only instead of them, what I got was Batista, John Cena and many other unfamiliar to me wrestlers at the time. Personally, I found Batista epic at the time (it was around the time he beat Triple H and I found his accomplishment amazing, because the Triple H I remember didn't take shit from anyone), but the fact that nearly everyone I remembered from old wrestling was gone saddened me a lot. It was still "OK" until the end of 2006, but then things got worse than ever and I stopped watching it. I guess you could say it was part of "growing up", but I know that if it was still WWF airing, I would have continuted to watch. And from then on, I only occasionally checked what was going on in the WWE, I mainly focused on watching documentaries about WWF superstars and old matches. So yeah, it got pretty boring, pretty fast. Today, I don't watch it. I just don't think I can.
That is, until I read that The Rock was coming back "forever".
Now, I have some apologizing to do, I admit that I said those things before actually watching what The Rock said and I'm sorry for that. His trash-talking was enough to make me reconsider that the WWE will dare to give him shitty lines that are more "compatible" with today's audiences (that's what I meant by him acting silly).
Also, are you sure he won't ever fight again? What he said made it seem like he's pretty pissed at Cena. Or maybe he just feels that it's necessary for him to fight one more time?
Regardless of the situation, The Rock made me smile.
He said he won't fight in various interviews, a Rock VS Cena match would be cool, but it won't happen
Also, are you sure he won't ever fight again? What he said made it seem like he's pretty pissed at Cena. Or maybe he just feels that it's necessary for him to fight one more time?
I'm doubtful that the Rock ever wrestles a full match again. It's certain he'll do something physical at WM, but wrestling a full match is doubtful. It would also be one of the biggest matches of all time.
Since Rock only called out Miz and Cena, the most likely scenario I see is Miz beating Jerry Lawler and Cena winning the EC so that they face off, and the Rock becomes guest referee or enforcer or just comes out and attacks them.
Who do you guys think will replace Ziggler's spot for the SD Chamber match? Most likely Taker, but I don't know if he's ready for a straight return like that.
@Syan:

I can see him being in it despite being a last minute throw in but I don't know about him winning, also word through the grapevine is they're trying to set up a Triple H-Undertaker match at Wrestlemania.
I feel mean for hating Big Foot, but I do. That was really sad. I mean he was bound to lose again but that had to be the most aggravating way.
I can't hate on Big Foot. The guy has the potential to take the entire tourney (if you want to think of it as a tourney). Look man, I love Fedor. I mean seriously I am a huge fan - but I think he got what was coming to him. The management he chose and the way they have chosen to have him fight once a year against guy's like Rogers, Lindland and Zulu really puts a blotch on his otherwise immaculate career (granted, Silvia and Arlovski were legit wins - but neither guy has been fairing too well lately.)
Was that a tough way to lose? sure. How many people saw it coming. Virtually no-one. I think that speaks more about public perception and the famed Emelianenko-ora then anything. Rogers was never really ahead of Fedor (not in the way many people make it sound) but if you put the small victories Rogers did have against Fedor it makes what the far superior Big Foot did to him all the more reasonable.
I love Fedor - but outside of the possible career revitalization @ 205 (which - this late in his career might be sort of crazy) I don't know how much left he can really accomplish at HW (not that he needs to prove anything to anyone - he is already the HWGOAT). btw - most of the reason why I am so positive about the idea of Fedor dropping to 205 is because the thought of a Fedor v. Hendo legends fight gets me absolutlely giddy.
Anywho, how do you see the rest of the SFHWGP playing out? Are you on the Uber wagon? Or are you pulling for more of a dark horse like Werdum or Barnett?
Fedor has been exposed as an overated fighter, I'm afraid.
Still love the guy, heart of steel.
Overrated? - or a guy who didn't stay active enough and let the MMA world pass him buy?
Well considering he (more like his manager) cherry-picked fights for him Fedor is overrated.
Also Ubereem is gona take out everyone in his way as he will win the whole WGP
Well considering he (more like his manager) cherry-picked fights for him Fedor is overrated.
Precisely, Dana has said times and times before (In the most unprofessional way I ever seen someone leading a business say) that the Management is the reason why Fedor was so over rated.
IMO, Fedor is a great fighter, he's not nearly as legendary as people make him out to be, but he is way above average, he has the will to fight, the heart, the chin and the charisma. Its just that he's over rated and is now being buried and killed by the Tsunami of new talent that this sport is having.
Having cherry picked fights doesn't mean he wasn't the best. Not that the last few years have been great or that Silva didn't rape him decisively.
I have a habit of going with underdogs. A huge part of me will say Overeem will dominate but I would seriously like to see Werdum or Kharitonov go further.
And while he usually makes good sense, Dana White is a dick and wouldn't know integrity if it grew on top of his head.
Elimination Chamber is less than 30 minutes away, so I'll say my predictions:
Raw Elimination Chamber Match for #1 Contender to WWE Championship at WM27 (John Cena v Randy Orton v John Morrison v CM Punk v R Truth v Sheamus)
John Cena. Hard to NOT pick him seeing as how he has been in the World title match at every single WM since 21. Feud was already set up between him and Miz since Miz cost him the Rumble, and Rock specifically called both of them out, so that leads to an opportunity for Rock to be guest referee or something. I'd love Rock v Cena as a match, but I really doubt it. If Cena doesn't win, I can only see Sheamus winning, since it's pretty solid that Orton and Punk will be feuding for a while yet, and neither Morrison nor Truth are WM main event level.
SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Championship at WM27 (Edge v Drew McIntyre v Kane v Rey Mysterio v Wade Barrett v [unknown])
Edge. Honestly, I think Edge or the surprise entrant will win. The two most likely candidates for surprise entrant are HHH or Undertaker and either could win easily.
WWE Champion The Miz vs. Jerry Lawler
Miz. Come on, we all know Jerry Lawler won't be main eventing at WM. If they pull a shocker and King wins the title, I guarantee he relinquishes the title the next night on Raw and WM will have a big set up to crown a fresh WWE Champion. Actually… that could be wonderful, give King the title to sum up his career and have the inspiration of him having won for his mother who just died, and follow it up with a new chase for the vacant title. Well, either can work wonderfully! But I'm still going to say Miz.
Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio
Alberto Del Rio all the way! 'Nuff said!
WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel
Santino & Kozlov will retain. They're too hilarious!
And to follow up:
I didn't love it. Just a middle of the road PPV to me.
Del Rio v Kofi was good but not spectacular.
SD Chamber was a complete snooze. Nothing impressed me at all. The only good thing that came out of it was Christian returning to put a beatdown on Del Rio. They made Barrett look like a chump again. Ugh. They made Rey seem like the top challenge. Double ugh. And why was Big Show the surprise spot instead of Christian if Christian was going to return anyway!?!
Trish Stratus' segment was horrid. Not only can Booker T not do commentary well to save his life, but her Rock reference was god awful.
Santino & Kozlov had a good match. Can't believe they gave Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel the win. Disappointed in that call.
Miz v King was about as good as I could have expected it to be. I found myself actually hoping King got the win in the end.
Raw Chamber had the big spots, and that swerve that made it seem like Punk might win since the GM had that mid-match announcement. Still didn't really think it was too great. Morrison's drop off of the top seemed like a dangerous fall than a really good spot.Cena of course won to end hopes of an actual Rock v Cena match and continue fighting for the World title at WM for his seventh straight year.
Taker is back tomorrow!

Would've been nice mainly because we wouldn't have to bear witness to an ungodly match between Cena & Miz which I sincerely hope Cena doesn't win.

Their Reign of Terror had to end at some point
Eh, was hoping Morrison would win to set a Miz/Morrison match at WM but oh well.
Hopefully he'll win the MITB.
Geez, Post Cereal couldn't buy this kind of publicity with all this Fruity Pebbles promotion.
I was with killerbee1000, wanting a Miz/Morrison matchup at WM; but Miz/Cena was pretty much inevitable. Everything else about EC was pretty predictable too.
It was nice to see Christian (soon Christian, SOON!) and Trish again though. But what was up with that segment of Trish's?! For God's sake WWE writers, go with the speaker's strengths; Trish is decent on the mic, but she's NEVER done promo's like the Rock and Booker T could. JUST LET HER TALK.

Yea let her call Michelle a skinny ugly bimbo…..wait.
The wrestlers won, I felt.

…Wow, I was wondering how they were gonna have Cena respond to The Rock's INSANE segment last week. That opening segment had some damn good, if not predictable, shots. (God, I miss 'Thugonomics' John Cena).
And again, the censorship went out the window! Has WWE given up?
White rapper Cena FTW!
00!!!
the Undertaker has arrived back too WWE…again
HHH NOW?!!!! what the XD
Question: me and a friend just got tickets to Summerslam.. we both never been to PPVs yet so how long do they run, is there anything before the show or after and is AXXESS only at WM?
…That WWE All-Star game looks AWFUL. The 'Cena' avatar looked like the freaking Hulk (Drawn by Rob Liefeld).
Question: me and a friend just got tickets to Summerslam.. we both never been to PPVs yet so how long do they run, is there anything before the show or after and is AXXESS only at WM?
Far as I can tell, the PPV shows usually last about 4 hours; there's usually a 'dark match' or two before they begin taping the PPV to get the crowd going, then the PPV itself is about 3 hours. Sometimes there's an extra match afterwards, or a talking segment.
And FAN AXXESS is only a WrestleMania event.
EDIT: is 15 mins behind live RAW Oop, here comes Taker… AND TRIPS!
Hallelujah, The Game has finally picked up again.
Hacksaw is going into the HOF!!!
Congrats to Jim Duggan, the man has been working hard for WWE forever, he deserves it.
And is it just me, or is Michael Cole getting chubbier by the week? HIS FACE.
Looks like Cole is gone for the night, thank god.
God, I hate it when WWE brings in personal shit into the storylines, ESPECIALLY DEATHS. Even if the wrestlers are 'okay' with it, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
They had more than enough heat with King and Cole, they didn't need to bring Jerry's mom into the segment.
EDIT: WHOA. I was NOT expecting Cena and Miz to win the Tag Belts. But this could make an interesting buildup to the WrestleMania matchup…
EDIT 2: ...But this idea works just as well.
Question: me and a friend just got tickets to Summerslam.. we both never been to PPVs yet so how long do they run, is there anything before the show or after and is AXXESS only at WM?
I've been to SummerSlam at Staples Center the last two years (and got my tickets for the show again! :D) so I can let you know.
They start letting people into the arena at 4:30 and there very likely will be a dark match. 2009 had a Diva battle royal and 2010 had Zack Ryder v Evan Bourne. The show runs until just before 8, and they sometimes have a little follow-up bit, but it has pretty much ended without too much difference from what you see at home the last two years. Main difference is there's sometimes a "Vince's birthday" thing they like to do after since it's always around SS, but I haven't had that happen since SS 2003.
SummerSlam DOES have an Axxess as well. They have two events on Saturday and one event on Sunday before the PPV, and each one runs for about 4 hours. It's all outdoors with a bunch of cool set-ups and signature or photo opportunities with the wrestlers.
wow. so Triple H vs undertaker. thats a match not ment to be missed. Man. and The king vs Micheal Cole .Thats gonna be wonderful too see.

Taker is back tomorrow!
So, you say that the Smackdown elimination chamber was a snooze fest (While it was one of the more well thought Elimination Chamber matches in quite a while, also being very smart at building up in the intensity and psychology before completely exploding with McIntyre's entrance), then you proceed to say "Botchamaniac" Kozlov and "Work-Work-Rate-Rate" Santino did a good job (Ignoring the Team that actually carried the whole match, which was boring anyways), and then you proceed to say they should have kept their titles over the Corre.
SD's Chamber was mediocre. Flat out. It was the predictable Edge and Rey finish that they already did two years ago. McIntyre's entrance didn't have anything that made any difference. Barrett got buried again, despite the fact that he's done very well with everything they've given him, but he got no major offensive. Kane steamrolled everyone until his eventual elimination. Big Show got added for no good reason. It was very plain and unspectacular. And last year's Chamber matches BOTH were far superior to this one, not to mention the amazing Raw 2008 Chamber or the very first Chamber match when HBK won blowing this one away.
Santino isn't a great wrestler by any means, but the man is an excellent showman. He's entertaining, and that is why he deserves the screentime he receives. Kozlov is an excellent straightman, and their shenanigans pull in consistent good ratings in the show as well as several good comic relief spots. Yes, Kozlov botches a lot because he still hasn't managed to really get how to flow, but some people are just stiff. Also, I will NEVER give an ounce of credit to Heath Slater. He is quite honestly one of the worst wrestlers I have ever seen. Justin Gabriel was fantastic in his performance, as usual, and worked well along with Santino and Kozlov. The fact that Santino and Kozlov had a good match is a testament to Gabriel's ability, but the fact that they lost the title is a shame since they were good to see on both shows due to their entertainment value. Now I will be seeing more of freaking Heath vanilla Slater. That is sad.
Guys…
Mistico is now in the WWE (as Sin Cara).
http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/sincarajoinswwe

So…how do you guys see UFC 127 going? Personally I see Fitch cuddling his way to a UD in comfortable and predictable fashion - I am pulling for BJ but Fitch is just a nightmare match up for him (still - with BJ anything is possible.) I could care less about Bisping v. Rivera - pulling for Rivera but I can't say I care much either way. I am praying G-Sot does his thing and get's in line for a title (and he should be able to). Can't say I care much for the card as a whole. Condit v. Lytle had the potential to be foty but Condit had to pull out. eh. Not buying it.
Lol beat me to it.
Well mistico is a really REALLY good wrestler here in Mexico, so I'm hoping all goes well for him the WWE, tho his english is apparently pretty bad lol.
Also he has a big ego, and so does Rey Mysterio, so let's see what happens when these two eventually collide in the ring
Wow, and they're even letting him wear the mask! Hope he gets to make a big splash.
It's not the same mask tho, this one has like batwings or something idk
Also it's blue, I'm pretty sure they're gonna try the same thing rey mysterio does by having different colored masks
I just meant that they're letting him wear a mask in general. Didn't actually notice it was different, but you're right. I only said that I was a bit surprised because of how they didn't want Alberto Del Rio to wear a mask, even though he really wanted to.
Fitch is gonna demolish BJ, no doubts about it.
