I find the whole chairman dying thing to be halirious. I "pity the foo" who thought it was real.
edit:
Apparently it's still real to you too, KaizokuFan22.
Oh man. That's awesome.
-
Me,I think this whole death thing was just because vince wanted to retire. But he'll probably come back. And to add to that,I wish WWE would go back to something like they did in 2001 to early 2003 With the N.W.O coming back and what not,and plus the invasion was one of my favorite storylines to date.
-
edit:
Oh man. That's awesome.
I looked into this guy and found out the real reason he was crying. it's actually pretty sad (not in the pathetic way).
-
I watched wrestling when I was a kid in the early 90's (I was a Undertaker fan I remember), what the hell happend to it? From what I've saw on the internet it became the trashiest, most low brow shit you could think of. The guys are bipedal bags of roids and HGH, there's softporn whores everywhere, and that shit with the terrorists and the war in Irak was downright embarassing.
AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!
-
The WWE dies when they merged with ECW/WCW and when The Rock and Stone Cold left.

There was real reason?
If so, I feel kinda bad about it now. =/

that was 6 years ago then! Still..wwe is Not like it was back then…
when storylines were actually cool..

I got the guy's online handle from comments on one of the youtube videos of it, and did some investigating.
Konga Dave was just a normal, everyday hardcore wrestling fan, until he attended a Q & A session featuring the likes of Terry Funk and Jim Cornette. Dave gets to ask a question, and his emotions get the better of him. Lines like "It's still real to me, dammit!" and "Thank you so much Mr. Funk for saying what needed to be said. I don't wanna see another one of these!" got him 15 minutes of fame. He was featured on the Jimmy Kimmel show, where he was lamsspooned for such statements. Many just wrote him off as another stupid mark.
What the media didn't know was that Konga Dave isn't some typical wrestling fan who thinks everything is real. During this Q & A session, he had heard many stories about wrestlers abusing their bodies in the ring, dying too young, etc. This is what brought about these strong emotions. Konga Dave is not ashamed, however, but has embraced his popularity. Like "Deacon Daddy" Devin Sturgis, Konga Dave is a member of the Wrestlecrap forums, and is an honorary member of TBGA. His meeting Lex Luger was a phenomenal event in Lugermania history. Because Konga Dave has a great passion for this business, and a 30 second clip of hilarity, let us welcome him into the TBGA Hall of Fame. Thank you, Konga Dave, for saying what needed to be said!
Don't worry. It's still funny.

Pretty much how I feel about it.

I started watching wrestling again just a couple of months ago after something like a six-year break from it, and it's true, it really has gone down the shitter. Everyone I liked is either gone (the Rock, Stone Cold, Chris Jericho), injured (Triple H, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels) or crappy now (Kane). Basically it just obsesses over punkass Cena, roid-filled Lashley, and roid-filled Batista. There are still some awesome stars on the show to watch, like Edge, Mr. Kennedy, and Chris Benoit, but they just get swallowed up by the incessant pushing of Lashley and Cena.
Anyway, I thought the Vince death angle would be a good push in the right direction for the WWE, as we could finally focus on wrestling instead of McMahon's incessant rambling, but I was dead wrong - now the entire damn show is focused on him. It just turned stupid, and it almost seems like an insult to Eddie Guerrero and Owen Hart. All I'm interested in is seeing Benoit become ECW Champion, because damn that guy deserves another world title run. I only started watching again for the nostalgia, and now that's shot up the ass, so I think I'm just going to quit for good this time.

Is it me or is that hole thing on Vince chin distracting?

Cries….RIP Benoit
World Wrestling Entertainment is deeply saddened to report that today Chris Benoit and his family were found dead in their home. There are no further details at this time, other than the Benoit family residence is currently being investigated by local authorities.
Tonight’s Raw on USA Network will serve as a tribute to Chris Benoit and his family. WWE extends its sincerest thoughts and prayers to the Benoit family’s relatives and loved ones in this time of tragedy.

R.I.P Beniot u will be missed by wwe fans
-
Yeah, I read on another site. Very sad indeed. Although I haven't watched wrestling lately, Benoit has always been a solid wrestler who didn't need gimmicks or storylines. RIP
Please tell me this is a sick joke by the WWE.
On another note, I hear Benoit's family was coughing blood which would probably be Luekimia (I suck at spelling). But that doesn't explain what happened to Benoit tho. I'm not sure if this is foul play or what.
EDIT: Ofcourse, whether that story is true or not, I do not know. I hope it's not foul play.
-
R.I.P Chris Benoit. He was Canadian too…:(
-
I can't believe this! I wonder what the cause of death was. Either way, rest in piece Benoits.
-
Man. I was shocked when I saw this.
Tonight's raw is a tribute to him. The way it should be.
-
RIP Benoit…
The world has lost a wrestling legend and a great man.
-
Damn. This is just so shocking. And his family too. The first thing that comes to mind is murder. I wonder what happened. RIP Benoit.
-
RIP Chris, you always been a great man, and I always will remember you and Eddie holding your titles at the end of Wrestlemania 20. Edge segement on Raw really made cried, since he respected Benoit as a mentor and a friend.
-
This is a very sad day.
What makes it even sadder is the possibility that Chris Benoit is a murderer.
Police believe that it was a double homicide-suicide, which basically means Chris killed his wife and son, and then himself.
I have mixed feelings about this, but I still respect that man for the class he showed in the ring, and for the amazing showcase of talent we were treated to each time he stepped into that ring.
I particularly like that Eddie-Chris picture way back in Wrestlemania 24.
It was the first I watched, and in my opinion, the best.
And the ending when watched now makes me remember the fallen that have contributed to this industry, and the cinderella ending that they were able to be a part of.RIP Chris Benoit 1967-2007
and remember Eddie Guerrero. -
So it turns out that it's true. Chris Benoit murdered his wife and 7 year old son before hanging himself in his weight room over a day later.
I retract my previous statement about him. It's a shame that such an illustrious wrestling career has ended in the worst possible way.
-
Hmmm, I heard that those two rednecks wrestlers were dropped from Smackdown before they even premiered, but it seems they are back.

I dont think we will know anytrhing until other reports are completed and revealed
Back to topic: Glad to see Matt won against Cade and how in the world did Domino get injured?
-
Was I the only one who noticed that on last night's RAW, there was a guy in the audience with a paper bag over his head?
-
BUMP
Cody was pretty impressive in his debut though his inexperience showed

Damnit…. I would love to meet Ted DiBiase, I always been fan of his. This is one of those times I wished I live in San Diego.
-
I always have been a fan of RVD since his WWE debut in 2001

Why must WWE always use legends as jobbers?

@Pass:
Why must WWE always use legends as jobbers?
Because they need to make room for characters the fans want to see. Like Mr. Takes-Shits-in-Bags and 'Dangerous Minority of the Week'.
-
Cody, let me show you that tape of Randy beating the snot out of your father! Okay, now Cody, now I need you to promise me you wont exact revenge on Randy, not even after I play that tape one more time!"
LOL
-
Even through I'm not a big Cena fan, I thought his promo at the beginnning of Raw last night was pretty funny. And the Santino getting pwned by the ref was just plainly funny.
-
NOT SURE IF THIS IS LEGIT, BUT POSTING ANYWAY.
According to Dave Scherer, Jeff Hardy didn't show up at RAW last night. There is concern in the company that he won't be back for SummerSlam and that he might not be back at all. His program with Umaga was scrapped and Umaga was turned babyface on RAW.
Stay tuned as we will have updates very shortly regarding this breaking news story.

I think it's bullshit, and Umaga didn't turn babyface last night.
-
I haven't heard anything about that. Instead, let's talk about how a lot of the top talent have been getting injured with serious muscle tears. First Undertaker, then Edge, and now it looks like Bobby Lashley may have a serious shoulder injury.
With our luck, the Great Khali will stay healthy and become a long reigning champion. HOORAY :D
-
I lol at Lashley getting injured. In all seriousness, hasn't been a good year for wrestling.

who knows whats going on lately with wwe… i thought Umaga was heel when he attacked Santino?
-
Le sigh. I liked Santino being a sympathetic underdog. Alas he"s now an angry itallian (hey didn"t we have a member with that name?) who blames America for his failures
And Samoan Spike is the dullest finisher ever imo
-
Not as dull as the Worm.

Wait, they really turned him heel? HAHAHAHA! This is their amazing plan after those Jackass guys pulled out of Summerslam? Nice one
I always thought the HEART PUNCH(!) was a super lame finisher. You punch the guy…IN THE HEART! While this works totally awesome in a series like Ippo, it doesn't work live. I think they gave Mark Jindrak that for a bit when he was in Angle's unnamed stable. Either that or he was just punching guys...whatever
-
Oooooooooohhh I knew someone was going to mention the worm
bashes DW"s skull in Do not insult Scotty Too Hotty!
The worm wasn"t an affective manuever but it was entertaining. More so than striking someone in the neck with your thumb
Anyway I have a dream last night where Umaga (whom I kept reffering to Umanga for some reason) used a new finisher called the BDT: where he does a DDT with his opponent"s head rammed between his buttocks
-
Smacks Rootbeer in the face with a salmon
Entertaining or not, it was a finisher, a bad one.
-
I heard that Jeff got injuried during last weeks Raw.
-
-
I think it was when he fell on his head sometime during his match against Kennedy.
