I don't know… I find it hard to believe that Garp would take that kind of crap from anybody... look how disciplined they are. I think their personalities have both changed for the better. Here's hoping! pisses pants waiting to see Coby and Helmeppo next chapter
It's pretty much similar to Helmeppo's and Morgan's relationship, except that Garp isn't abusive (despite hitting his own grandson) or egotistical.

Helmeppo needs character development?
Helmeppo seems like the guy who never learns. In the Koby cover arc, he's still the sneaky coward he was in the Morgan arc. He's a side character, his role won't be as big of Koby.
I'm sure Koby has changed. He will get some character development. But you don't want Koby to be a optimistic, never-say-die Luffy clone now, would you? He's still going to have a bit of the wimpy Koby we all know inside him.
