I think you are onto something there…
Anyways if it does happen like that or somehow rushed, I'll be utterly disappointed. The series has been consistently enjoyable and has flown very nicely.

just got to around watchig episode 19. Good episode but I fucking hate how barry dies, but I guess it was the best way, even more fucked up at how everyone there was just like oh he got sliced in half well fuck him.

It's exactly how he died in the Manga, really. The only difference being that his body didn't smear his blood seal, he scratched it.

Not even Alphonse gave a shit about the poor bastard. That's really sad.

I knew that, I've forgotten alot of what's happen but something like that i've remembered for the longest time. I still thought it was fucked up when I read it.

The manga has already confirmed EdxWinry, now we just need a kiss at the end to seal the deal. (although Ed is so freaking awkward Winry will probably have to take the initiative.)
That would be awesome. She just gets pissed off and smashes his lips into hers XD
-
Nevermind EdxWinry, we all know it's going to happen. But I wonder if Al and Mei will get together in the end? It would be nice if Al got a girl of his own, and those two would be so cute together. :3 The manga has strongly hinted that way, but you can't say that it's been confirmed yet, can you?

I wouldn't mind seeing that either. How old is Al anyway? 14 or 15? And Mei is probably like 12 or 13, so it's not that big an age difference (I think). But still, I'm not gonna hold my breath.
-
Meh, I'm not really a fan of her character type, so I couldn't care less what happens to her.
Watching episode 20 of Brotherhood reminded me of just how overblown the digging scene was, what with all of the vomiting, strained facial expressions, and Ed's half-crazed laughter at the end of it. On the plus side, next week's (or rather, the week after's) episode starts off the second Scar fight, and the episode looks like it's done by the same person who did the first one, so that should be a good episode.
-
darn. episode 21 is not out this week. I was so looking forward to it.
-
ah, i was wondering where it was.
thank ye.
-
I am having a hard time remembering this but when did Ling fight against bradley? I know it happend but I just can't remember what led up to it.
-
They were trying to lure Scar and the Homunculus or something along those lines, I kinda forgot too : (
-
When Ed returns from Xerxes, he gets the idea to capture a Homunculus. So he starts doing Alchemy around town to attract Scar's attention. When Scar shows up, so does Wrath and Gluttony. Wrath immediately engages Lan Fan after seeing that she can sense Gluttony with her ability.

oh it was that? I thought that happend a lot later in the story….i'm gonna re-read this series once it get's an ending.
-
I think there was another time that Ling fought Wrath, but that was after he'd become Greed and I think it was after his betrayal of the Homunculi.
-
I don't know if this was posted before but: http://csakuras.livejournal.com/293182.html holly shit!!!
-
I thought this was proven already? at least I thought so, and I'm not up to date with the manga. I only read the english printed version.
-
It was proven already, it's just that it's funny how that was made in 2006 and that the creator of the idea said that since they kept debunking other crack ideas, that they should try making their own crack idea for once and see how it goes.
-
That prediction was posted almost a year before it was actually revealed in the manga. That's what's pretty amazing about it.
-
16 Indeeds…....
-
oh. i thought this was something recent. oops

that's awesome, that guy/gal should win some sort of award.

Good episode, though I watched a very poor sub of it.
3 minor things they changed that I noticed:
1. Armstrong gave his line about "The East is full of Beautiful Women", but for a different reason. In the Manga, Ross tells him that "Brosh shows any and all emotion on his face", but here, he was simply told, "Don't tell anyone."
2. They messed up the order of events that let to Marcoh's capture. In the Manga, Envy arrived there first as Breda and threatened him, forcing him to come along, which is why Envy was not with Wrath and Gluttony (at first) during their fight against Lan Fan, Ling, and the Elrics. Then Breda arrived shortly after, which confused a townsman Envy had asked for directions.
3. When Envy yells at Wrath for not killing Roy, he says that he had a conversation with Father about it prior that convinced him that Roy could open in the gate. In the Manga, Father questions Wrath about his actions then and there, and Wrath explains that he thinks that Roy has the potential to be a sacrifice, which pleases Father.
Minor things aside, was a well animated episode.
-
So Ling being a SEXY BEAST is up next, yes?
-
Not quite. Next episode is probably the beginning of the Wrath & Gluttony vs. Lanfan & Ling and The Elrics vs. Scar episode. Next should be the episode where Winry discovers that Scar killed her parents and should consist of Ed and Al trying to talk her out of shooting him. We may also get to see Lanfan lose her arm in this episode (Wonder how they're gonna handle that). The Episode basically ended where Volume 11 did; with Wrath engaging Lanfan.
Edit: I also just noticed that Lanfan didn't tell Wrath off. In the Manga, she dismisses him as a normal human when she can't sense multiple souls within him, which allows him to catch her off guard.

FMA Brotherhood is progressing like 8x the speed of the manga. This is worrying me, I wouldn't be surprised if they gave the series a different ending again because it's getting close to the point in the manga. I think what they're doing is pretty stupid. They're already past the part where the first anime split with the manga, I don't get why they're still making it progress so fast. I get upset every time I notice they skipped something in the anime, like the part where Envy kidnapped Marcoh.
-
Given that the whole point of Brotherhood is to follow the manga, of course they're not going to end it differently. BONES obviously knows when the manga is going to end and has their schedule all planned out. 'sides, I actually like how this hasn't been a precise retread of the manga and that they've tweaked some things up, like how they didn't show what happened to Marcoh in this week's episode.
They do see to be trying to trick the viewers into thinking Hohenheim is Father liek the manga tried to do this week, but the effect is kind of ruined in animation since they have two different voices.

Sorry, but what's BONES?
I personally do not like it AT ALL when they skip details. I don't mind that they changed or added some stuff, but not skip. I feel that the series will not be "complete" because of the skipped details. To be honest, I'd much rather they give a different ending for Brotherhood as well and make a third series with the EXACT details as the manga after the manga is finished.
But I know that would not be a good business idea since people will probably be uninterested by that point. So I will always believe that they screwed up on Brotherhood. What a shame, it could be a much better series if they captured almost every detail. They shouldn't be taking things for granted. For animes One Piece, the anime producers wish they could go even twice as fast as the manga, but alas they cannot without making a vingtillion fillers like Naruto.
-
BONES is the animation studio. They did the first Fullmetal Alchemist series too, though it was a different production team. BONES seems to have a company policy of their series never exceeding fifty-something episodes, so compromises will have to be made.

That makes sense then. But that only leaves 2 possibilities:
The manga will end REALLY soon.
Or they will give the anime a different ending again. Both options suck, unless of course, they make a third series.

I am not watching this series from the begining for a 3rd time.

well I still have hope. They're doing it over again, cause they screwed it up the first time. they better damn well do it right this time. plus FMA is big budget, so I think they can afford to break the rules and make a few more episodes if they have to. guess we'll have to wait and see

They've already screwed the second season up. Changing the ending would just be the cherry on the cake.
-
your vote doesn't count TLC :P

Nothing's been screwed up. The new anime's been amazing so far, with a few minor changes to the story. We're still getting the same overall plot, which is what's important. It's great to see all these scenes animated.
I'm kind of worried that the anime will catch up to the manga at the rate it's going, but I'm going to assume that Bones planned ahead. They probably know when the manga will end and have planned accordingly.

Other than it's a lifeless, soulless piece of crap that is simply following the motions of copying the story.

….......
'tf does one piece do?
i must be completely lost. but fans wanted a version of the anime that actually followed the manga, and that's what we're getting.
except without shitty filler and non-stretched episodes.
i am loving it, personally.

No. The One Piece anime has heart in it. The anime team add in their own personal little touches and maintains a perfect atmosphere for the series by keeping all the little gags and quirky character interactions and whatnot. All Bones is doing is just copying the story and butchering anything it can so it can blitz through the material. When you take out all the little things of a series, you're left with a cold, empty, superficial shell. If you think adapting a manga is just animating the events of the manga, you're sorely mistaken.

I just love how much of a stuck-up ass you sound in this post. Why not contribute something other than go "Waa waa, I'm so much better than you!!!"
-
isn't that what your doing?
dude, your entitled to your opinion, but your getting a bit ridiculous. everyone's trying to tell you that but your stuck in your rut -

People, please don't respond to Lion-chan when he's in

Oh is Lion-chan on the never-ending warpath? Every day is the same.
Anyways I'm totally stoked for this week's episode. Ishbaaaaal flashbacks. And Kimblee being his lovely insane self. Whee~

Thank tigerlily, not me.
Anyway, about this week's episode… I'm a bit worried that when the anime gets to the part where the Ishval flashback starts, there won't be anything left for them to show, since they keep showing bits of it elsewhere!
-
Oh jeeze Winry crying at the end made me tear up a little. Good episode all around though!
