^My thoughts exactly! Plus Greed vs. Wrath was cool, too bad it was short. I loled at Ed's getaway van armor XD
BTW I take it Greed was originally a soldier in the army who was later killed(?) and turned into a Homonculus?

If you mean the Anime Greed, he was Dante's first lover before Hohenheim. The homunculus is modeled after him.
Still no Raws for 82? Grrr, the wait is too much.
-
^The RAW is already out-
MangaHelpers.com -
Raw's out:
! Looks like Hohenheim comes clean with Alphonse, and explains something about the Xing version of the Transmutation circle… probably that he designed it long ago, being the "Philosopher from the West". Lin-Greed's memories of being the original Greed return after impaling the Rat guy (Forget his name), and an epic battle between him and Wrath ensues. You've gotta love Arakawa's attention to detail; in the background, you see Pride acting scared, but when Lin-Greed runs... he's fucking pissed. Was he unable to act because of his (fake) mother? Or because he can only act in those tunnels that Sloth dug?
-
Huh, there´s already a raw on chapter 82 and chapter 81 still isn´t put online on mangashare yet? How come?
-

Obviously no one's talking about anime Greed.
-
Because mangashare is slow? I know 81 has been on Onemanga for about a month now.
-
Not sure, it's on onemanga, though.
Anyway, with the translation, here's the rundown:
! Hohenheim comes clean with Alphonse, and explains that though the Transmutation Circle is done, Homunculus has to wait for a certain day to occur. Apparently, it has something to do with the God Rose's town worshipped, Let. Next, Ling-Greed meets the Rat-tailed guy in the Central sewers and when Greed's mannerisms show, the Rat-guy recognizes him as Greed. Greed impales him, which prompts a conversation between Ling and Greed. Greed insists he's a different Greed, but Ling insists it's the same Greed, which is correct, and all of Greed's memories return. Realizing that Wrath (Bradley) killed all of his subordinates (and friends), Greed runs and confronts Bradley. The two duel in front of Pride and Mrs. Bradley, and eventually is forced to flee. Pride stares out the window, obviously pissed that he couldn't act. Greed arrives at Knox's Countryside House, where he collapses in front of Ed and the two soldiers from Briggs.

Scan's up on Onemanga.
Couple of key points:
Lin may have gotten his body back. Which would be awesome. hopefully the regenerative powers of the Philosopher's Stone stick around.
Best chase scene ever. I'm kind of wondering if that Donkey Kong joke was added by the scanlators, but the car was awesome. They should have kept it.
Ed is back in action. This will rock.
I get the feeling Homunculus will make its move pretty soon.
Finally, anyone else notice that look on Pride's face? I think Greed/Lin may be in a bit of trouble.
-
Where the crap is that pic of Pinako in a bikini?
You asked for it:/
Now excuse me while I go throw up.

I only asked because I thought you needed a dose.
Looks like it worked.

@Sandai:
It's Greed doing a Face Fault!!
-
I wanted to use a hanging emoticon I lifted off another messageboard but I couldn't find it.
-
Ha ha! That sparkly rich guy with his clingy girlfriend got his car jacked again!
That car chase should've lasted a page or two long; it was awesome! Probably a pain in the ass to draw though.
-
I read the chapter yesterday, I thought for sure there would be a face fault from Al (seeing his own father in womens apron, or whatever that thing is called)….now about Pride, I wonder what will happen. And whats w/ that ending (did Greeds soul or something like that was destroyed, and of course the result is that Lin or whatever his name became normal)?
-
I don't think that Lin has full control, but he and Greed have reached some sort of agreement. Basically, Lin helped Greed regain his memories, and in return, Greed is allowing him to share the body. I don't understand why he ran, though… was it from the sheer futility of trying to fight Wrath, or was it because of all the people Wrath was throwing at him? At first, I thought he got injured, but that's impossible, considering he broke Wrath's blade at point blank when Wrath swung at lightning speed, so it's obvious his ultimate shield didn't fail him.
Pride was very obviously pissed... but remember, he can only act in the dark or in the tunnels Sloth built. In a lit room, he can't act, because it defies the nature of his power. Plus, his fake mother probably knows that Bradley is Wrath, but I doubt she knows Selim is Pride.
Ed's getup car is nothing new, being consistent with his bizarre tastes.
I wonder what Hohenheim meant by "The day"? It probably has to do with the position of the sun in a certain place in the sky, sort of like how the ancient Egyptians built the Sphinx when it was in the constellation Leo.
-
This chapter was very interesting. I agree that lin and greed are now sharing the body.
-
Latest chapter-
! The gang is switching to the offensive >D
-
Sweet chapter. The Armstrong Family Showdown was just plain awesome and there was more than enough Hayate to keep me satisfied for a couple of months.
I am content.
-
The new chapter was awesome. I thought it was funny as hell that the oldman armstrong his wife and his youngest daughter left while the eldest daughter and Son were fighting inside of the mansion. Is it me or does anyone else see this series coming to an end in a couple more years?
-
I really wish we could've at least seen Olivia beating the living crap out of Alex tho :/
Still great chapter, wish I could get my friend into it since I got him hooked to some of the best series out there.EDIT: @G-MONSTER- Yeah I agree it might end in a few years, but that's OK with me, granted I'll miss the adventures and the feel of the series manga-wise, but at least we may get a better ending than the one in the anime.
-
Arakawa said it would be exactly 100 chapters, so we have at least another 4 years.
Overall, this was a good chapter. Greed (We no longer have to call him Lin-Greed because we know it's the same Greed as the original now) and Al team up, Olivia tricks her family into leaving the country to protect them, Rebecca passes information to Riza, who in turn passes it to Roy, and Al and Hohenheim get information to Sig. Meanwhile, Izumi is up North getting the same info to Buccaneer and Miles.
Anyone else think "The Day" refers to Spring Equinox? The Transmutation circle for the stone has the sun at the top, which would likely refer to the Sun being at its highest point in the sky, so it would make sense for it to be during the equinox.
-
Either the Spring Equinox, more likely, or the faint possibility of the Summer Solstice.
Awwww, Lin! glee I'm glad to see he's still putting up a fight in there. Although I don't see how he'll ever manage to take full control of his body back.
-

My guess is that when Homunculus dies/is defeated/is de-transmuted/has the philosopher's stone ejected from him, all of the non-human Homunculi will revert to their original forms (As Envy did when Marco expelled the Philosopher's stone from him), and the ones who have human hosts will simply die. Or they may just go on living as homunculus until killed/destroyed.
For that matter, do we know where the philosopher's stone is located on Sloth or Gluttony? In Envy, we know it was just behind his tongue (It's gone now), in Wrath it's in his arm, in Lust it was where her Ouroboros was (which makes her the exception, not the rule), and in Ling it's in his left cheek (I'm assuming that because that's where it was put in via the cut Wrath gave him). I'm not even gonna guess where pride's is.
-
It may be in his penis (referring to pride)
-
-
Hey i'm not the one who set up the punch line all I did was finish it.
-
Am I the only one who read the scanlation where in Lin/Greed was called GreeLin?
-
probably. why would he be called GreeLin? (where does Lin come from btw? werent the homunclus named after the 7 carnal sins?)
-
 Did you miss like half the manga? Lin is a prince from Xing (FMA's equivalent of China), who willingly let the homonculus Greed take over his body in his search for immortality.
-
never read the manga. =P
I really shouldn't have re´plied to this thread but I was too bored so I figured I'd do something when this popped up as an unread thread…
-
never read the manga. =P
Remedy that error right away.
Seriously, it's like sideways eight times better than the Anime.
-
I bet it is. But I only watched it because I had easy access to all the episodes because of a friend (didn't need to download or search for anything).
Can't say the same about the manga chapters. I'm just not that interested in it to actually take up reading it since I got more then enough series I want to read already. -

-
Or mosey on over to Onemanga (if Viz hasn't made them remove the chapters already).
-
^Or that, Viz's translations are pretty good I hear :)
-
FMA is still on onemanga. So go over to www.onemanga.com Gorlom, it's worth it.
Lin is a character who was introduced shortly after the manga diverged from the anime (or the other way around, I should say). He and his two retainers are pretty big characters.
-
…and Olivia <3
-
Just for the record, it's Ling, not Lin. Look here:
http://www.onemanga.com/Full_Metal_Alchemist/35/24/
That's not translated, that's what Arakawa Romanized it as.
-
I read the scanlation where it had greelin. I believe greelin was al's joke considering how ling and greed keep fighting for possession of ling's physical body
-
Gee, No way O_O That's like too obvious!!!!!
-
heheh gremlins…
Freeman satsuki and all: as I said I'm not interested enough in FMA. and its not because of what the anime made out of the series.
I watched the series as I got introduced to anime and manga but I'm not really interested enough in the concept/deal/story to pick up the manga. I got enough other series I want to read already. -
Chapter 84 :
! Time jump! Ed grew!
-
Raw's out:
! Looks like Ed's back in Resembool for some reason, with Ling-Greed and the soldiers. Winry's there too, still proficient with a wrench. Meanwhile, it looks like everyone else is headed up North, including Grumann, Al, and Wrath. At the end, Al has an encounter with a restored Gluttony and Pride, the latter of which is about to kill him when the chapter ends. How will he get out of this one?
And, I know about a year has passed since the series started, but don't you guys agree that everyone has matured too quickly? Or has Arakawa's drawing style simply changed? She was always a good artist, but I guess 5 years of drawing a series refines your style somewhat…
-
Holy fuck I can't believe I forgot all about FMA this month.
Link to the raw anywhere?
-
Ask and you'll receive:
-
^Thanks been wondering when it comes out.
This issue was OK-! DAMNIT I WANTED TO SEE Winry's tits!
-
Oh yeah, its again that time of the month where FMA is released (now to wait for release on OM)
-
How much time has passed since the previous chapter?
