Just one interesting note is Kaku's suspicious blank stare when Lucci verbally assaults Caulifa. Odd that Oda chose to put that there.
That is interesting…in fact, even before I knew what was going on there, I thought the panel on page 5 with Lucci strutting out in front like a big shot and Kaku and Calipha looking sort of solemn was interesting also. I wonder if the downfall of CP9 might come by a collapse from within rather than without. ^_^ So maybe Kaku the ship destroyer is redeemable after all. B)
Edit: come to think of it, I think Lucci was saying something like "our job is done here" right before that (or was that Calipha?)Maybe it just dawned on Kaku and Calipha that they have really enjoyed being shipwrights with Iceberg, with goofy vantriloquist Lucci, and now they have to go back to being serious government agents and they remember how much of a asshole Lucci really is. XD Or maybe he's just showing his true colors for the first time.
I also was wondering if there was some information that was left out for later. Didn't it seem abrupt how we went from the Merry getting destroyed to CP9 at the train station? But I don't know, maybe that was just to save time and space. ^_^
Anyway, even though there wasn't much action in this chapter, there was a lot of small, intriguing things going on. I wonder what Franky and Usopp will talk about now that the Merry is destroyed, and they have a little time on their hands...XD
