Okay I thought I would share my thoughts:
Well it looks like all the players are back in the game (or at least back in the manga) and everything is converging toward Aeneas Lobby for the final battle.
Some thoughts,
Is it me or are Robin's breasts bigger in Sanji's fantasy?
My main thoughts in this chapter has to do with the whole Paulie/Franky debate and I thought I'd put some of my thoughts out there. Both Franky and Paulie have a lot of things going for them but it's like one lacks in an area where the other excels:
For example (and please care to correct me if I'm wrong):
Paulie:
PROS
Luffy bonding moment
More of a Strawhat look
Does have a fighting technique
Does have a character "quirk"
He did go to Aeneas Lobby with the others so he's still in the running
Does have some shipwright skills.
CONS
Is lacking a tragic backstory, which seems to be a common thread among the strawhat crew.
Honestly…he has yet to do anything really effective
Becoming the shipwright still seems questionable.
Franky
PROS
His character does have a tragic backstory, and he has pretty much become a key focal point in this arc.
His character does have a unique stylecough
He also has his own unique fighting style.
He is also going to Aeneas Lobby.
His shipwright skills are more obvious
CONS
Is lacking a few of the pros Paulie has.
….
Can't think of anything else.
But for all we know they both get left behing at the end of this arc and the new nakama is...Califa! Yeah...maybe in the next few chapters we'll find out about her motives and her tragic backstory which isn't revealed into the arc after next.
Or maybe it will be Oda's attempt not have a ship full of sausage.
Then again...
Be a shipwright...of what?! The ship was destroyed in the previous chapter!
O-chan
P.S. Sorry i'm a little silly tonite
