It'd be one of those missions where you could pick only a handful of characters and no furries allowed
Super Smash Bros Brawl

-
I'd imagine DK could finish rather quickly, with them big ol' ape hands. Might be a little hairy, though.
-
Well, s'long as you squeeze your butt checks tight, Link's Master Sword should fit in quite nicely.
And he's not a furry. Just a moron.
-
@Cyringohn:
There isn't even a release date yet, so don't get your hopes up.
Fox and Falco definitely say "Mission Complete!" in the English voice track.
Even though the only character that didn't retain their Japanese voice was Jigglypuff…
-
This thread took a turn for the worse.
Or better, I guess, depending on your perspective. :/
-

Fox and Falco have several lines in Japanese that weren't included in English. Mewtwo also speaks Japanese in his win animations.
Mario & Co. always speak English in their games.

Yeah, I know. They all use their Japanese voices in the English version. Mario always has the same voice actor anyways.
-
Charles Martinet must be a rich fucker, since he voices Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, and Toadsworth.
-
That and the fact that he probably gets paid for the English and Japanese versions of Mario games.

Mario's dialogue is the same in both versions. Mario always speaks English.
It's not a foreign concept. Silent Hill and Biohazard [Resident Evil] never use Japanese dialogue; the characters always speak in English, even in the Japanese versions.
-
Eh, he gets tons of money either way.
-

Plus Baby Mario and Baby Luigi. If he gets paid for every character, that means he got like seven paychecks for Mario Baseball, and that's not including the random minions he sometimes takes over when nobody else wants to. Friggin' evil genius.
Anyone that hasn't seen a picture of the guy should go do so, or better yet a video of him doing the voice. It's freaky as hell.
-
Asketh and thou shalt recieveth.
-
The Parappa games (Including Um Jammer Lammy) are also all in English in the Japanese version.
I thought I was going crazy when people starting posting their interpretations of Fox and Falco's lines…
Does anyone else think Snake's box is his shield?
-
It probably won't be his shield, but could very well be a hilarious Taunt.
-
Tonight's update is Pikachu's Final Smash: Volt Tackle.
I am fond of the idea of being a big ball of PK Thunder.
-
I was hoping that it would be done like in the show.
-
Volt Tackle is here!! Awesome, best possible choice for Pikachu's final smash.
-
Finally, we get some new character information! (Considering that both of Pit's specials were shown in the E3 trailer)
-
Wow! Volt Tackle looks awesome!
-
Volt Tackle looks a lot like one of Uriko's super attacks from Bloody Roar.
The one where she turns into a ball and you can control where she moves.
-
Pikachu's Final Smash is up, its Volt Tackle. Pretty sweet.
-
I'm wondering why so many people seem to be saying that the Final smashes look overpowered… looks to me like it'd be hard to get more than one point with 'em.
Pikachu's looks good, as everyone's saying. I'm assuming it controls like Ness' Up-B, only a bit easier and bigger.
-
Yea I dont think they seem so overpowering clearly there is a way to avoid them, and as you can see with Volt Tackle if the user isnt as good they can lose a life. I think the most dominating one of the three we have seen, seems to be Mario's because of the range, but Im sure there are ways around it.
-
I was hoping that it would be done like in the show.
No, this is even more awesome because it looks just like Pulseman's Volteccer, from which "Volt Tackle" gets its name ("Volt Tackle" is a somewhat goofed translation).
Pulseman is a game on the Sega Genesis that Gamefreak developed. There's a lot of references and eadter eggs regarding it in the Pokemon games.
-
Mario's likely won't do much damage, since it covers the entire field.
The general rule is: the more people it can hit, the less damage it does.
-
Wario added!
16 Wharacters
-
points to ava
now that's sexy, looks like Luffy a bit
-
Wario is badass. The first gameboy game i got was Warioland 2 or 3 i think..
I havent played any of the other Smashbros games, so i have to ask; was Waluigi in any of them? Or would he be a new addition if he got in?
-

I personally think warios channeling his inner wapol

Nope, Waluigi wasn't in any of them thus far and let's hope they keep it that way.
Wario uses a special for of martial arts eh? Hahahah! Awesome.
-
Awesome. I hope the moves for him are coming soon.
-
Does Wario have any theme music up or something? Wonder which theme he'll get.
-
Wario looks awesome! I think its safe to say that Diamond City will be on of the stages in the game.
-

Maybe music from the original Warioland?
-
Nope, Waluigi wasn't in any of them thus far and let's hope they keep it that way.
Yeah, let's not further develop an interesting character, especially since they're brothers and all.
-
Well actually Waluigi was a trophy in the last Smash Brothers game as was Pit, Wario, and Metaknight. Then again there were plenty of other characters who had trophies and I highly doubt they'll be making the cut in this new game.
-
Yes!,Wario is the best i play all of the Warioland and some WarioWare games
-

Myogatheflea was referring to the Wario Land games, which is just plain silly. Waluigi should definitely appear in that series.
Waluigi would be fun in Smash Bros., but there are other characters that need to appear before he does.
-
Personally, I love Waluigi just because of how incedibly and ridiculously overexaggerated he is. However, I really don't want him to be in Brawl. If he is, it's no longer "Nintendo All-Stars in: Super Smash Brothers!". It becomes: "A Mario fighting game that I guess has Link in it oh yeah and like Samus I guess".
That said, I can't wait to play as Wario. He and Donkey Kong are my two favorite Mario characters by far.
-
I like to pick Waluigi over other characters in those Mario-does-a-sport games. Waluigi seems to be often a target of hate, though. And while I like the tall dude a lot, yeah, there are plenty of other characters from other games which should have higher priority.
This can't be said too many times: Wario is Nintendo's best character. Those pics are awesome.
-

No, I was talking about Waluigi that Nintendo made just so Wario would have a partner in Mario Tennis.
-
I hope Dr.mario is not in this version… To me all he was..was a clone
-
No, I was talking about Waluigi that Nintendo made just so Wario would have a partner in Mario Tennis.
But you have to realize, that with Wario being the "evil" Mario, an "evil" Luigi was bound to be created eventually.
-
Dr. Mario was a pretty boring clone.
Brawl should have him as an alternative costume for Mario that should be unlocked. His powers will be the same (duh!) but the fireballs will retain their pill shapes. It's past time A SSB game had alternative costumes that have more than just alternative colors.
edit-
Ah hell, forgot the pill forms. Just have the costume as an unlockable. In fact, give everyone an unlockable costume. But you have to realize, that with Wario being the "evil" Mario, an "evil" Luigi was bound to be created eventually.
Not too many understudies get evil clones.
I don't care if Luigi has starred in a lot of games, he'll always be Mario's sidekick to me.
-
The sad part is that Dr. Mario is a better character than Mario. He's the only clone that is better than the original.
-
Could you elaborate on that, please?
-
But you have to realize, that with Wario being the "evil" Mario, an "evil" Luigi was bound to be created eventually.
Yeah, I agree with you there. But if they really wanna build on Waluigi they would be better off making a series of games for him like they did with Wario, rather than just continuously throwing him in party games alone.
