If Oda just happened to make OP have a sucky ending, what's the worst you can think of?
For me, it would suck is One Piece was all a hoax and at Raftel, there was a sign that said: "You got Punk'd-Gol D. Roger"

Luffy wakes up and it was all a dream.
Generic narrator guy "Yes Luffy, only a dream…"
(I had to add that...cookies to whoever gets the reference)
Luffy wakes up and it was all a dream.
coughDallascough But yeah, that would be the suckiest thing ever.
Um, maybe one of the StrawHats dying (Luffy?), like, right after fulfilling their dream.
Nevermind, that's just sad… -_-
EDIT: Can't stop staring at CosmicDebris avatar. <3
All of the Strawhats are killed in a horrible battle against giant frogs.

What about Super Mario Bros. 2?
Luffy becomes a pawn of an ancient, evil power as a result of resurrecting One Piece; he subsequently sells Nami to slave traders, breaks Zoro's spine, rats out Robin to the WG in exchange for becoming a Shichibukai, and eats Chopper. Then Sanji drowns him in All Blue with help from Franky and Sogeking.

Only a few minds wacky enough to appreciate it. XD
@Sandai:
What about Super Mario Bros. 2?
That made me kind of sad too. I think there's a tape of me somewhere commenting it when I beat the game for the first time, long ago.
Everyone in the show dies.
They don't escape the Buster Call and it's all over :X
They find out One Piece is in their hearts.
Nami sells the crew to prostitution (and I can almost see that happening XD)
A cute ending would be finding the One Piece and sharing it with Zoro or Chopper or Usopp.
You all heard this one coming a mile away.
One Piece turning out to be Gol D. Rogers One Piece Bathing Suit.
Hrm..
Gol D Roger pulls a Pell/Kuro (never really died, excution staged)
Darth-Luke-Leia situation (Two or more people are randomly related with no real indication given beforehand)
One or more SH dies (Too Depressing)
Strawhats split up (Again, too depressing)
After Luffy becomes king he dies in some stupid way (Goes for a swim, Defends someone's dream and later finds out their dream is to kill the Pirate King, etc)
Any other strawhat dies in an ironic way (Zoro becomes greatest swordsman only to get shot, Nami breaks back carrying treasure, Sanji dies when surrounded by 100's of pretty girls, Usopp tells truth and gets shot etc)
The last Poneglyph is simply marked "D"
Random D's (RedHair D. Shanks, D. Ragon, Chaser D. Smoker(It's a joke))
One Piece was really hidden in either Luffy's hometown or Roguetown
(Lame)
Nothing gets resolved
The Anime ends while the manga is still going (not really an ending to the story per se, but it would suck)
Yeah
One Piece is a box of treasure with gold coins etc…
After making their way through the castle and defeating Bowser, they go to the next room only too see Toad there who says, "Thank you, but our princess is in another castle!"
Or what Bad-Beat said.
It would REALLY suck if One Piece did have a filler ending. But I don't think it will. They went this far with just making filler arcs. The only reason I'd see Toei doing a filler ending is Oda gets sick (or they say so) and not do any OP for years or Oda just ups and quits the manga.
Shanks going: "Luffy…I am your father..."

Yeah. I figured Toei would never do anything that stupid considering how popular One Piece seems to be. But it would suck nonetheless.
Luffy-Whee, me gonna get One Piece!
Ace-Aww heeeell no (sets Luffy on fire)
Whitebeard-Yeah! Me gots On Piece! Hellz yeah!!!
Mugiwaras-Uhh…. (just kinda walk away)
Nami-sniff sniff But Luffy-
Luffy-It's okay. We'll find One Piece and make (villian) pay!
The End
Oh how the InuYasha ending sucked.
Luffy drowned in the ocean and none of the strawhats reach their dreams…
Sailing along, sailing along, sai–- THE END

(recalls the recent ending of Gash Bell as how "NOT" to end a series while a climactic arc they're animating is still going in the manga)
My idea for a horrible ending is as such:
After Luffy and the others reunite with Shanks and getting to the verge of Raftel, the red-haired pirate reveals that he's been controlled by some super-powerful force that forced him to head to the One Piece so it can rule the world! The SHs try to fight it, but it traps them in the World of Dreams where all of their "dreams" finally come true (Zoro: The Greatest Swordsman, Nami: Map of the World, Ussop: Bravest Warrior, Sanji: All Blue etc.) But when it tries to get Luffy, it turns out that "he has no dreams except what's in front of him". He then attacks the powerful force with all of his ability while "pieces of Luffy" awaken the SHs from their false dreams and, one by one, they all join the fight and attack the force together. But even after taking all this punishment, the force reaches Raftel and begins to use the "POWER OF ONE PIECE" to take over the world! The SH try to fight it, but its just too powerful! Suddenly from nowhere, every ally and friend the SH have ever met appear over the ridges of Raftel, beckoned by either the One Piece power or the SH themselves. All of them en masse attack the evil power alongside the SHs, but somehow it still remains due to its power and controlling the One Piece. Suddenly, Luffy decides to talk to the remains of the Red-Haired Pirates and asks them to assist and give their dreams out. Every member of the crew (Lucky Loux, Ben Beckman, Yassop and such) gives their true dreams…but as they do so, the force that had emerged from their captain Shanks dissolves piece by piece! Combined with the power of the SH and everyone else and all of their true dreams, the being from within Shanks fades away...then with one more Gum-Gum attack, Luffy destroys the being once and for all! Although the enemy is gone, though, Shanks lays dying on the island. As he stares up at Luffy and everyone on Raftel, he realizes that his dream has come true as he dissolves away and becomes sparkles in the sky, determined to protect Raftel and the One Piece forever....
Then Luffy opens a ramen stand and is forced to have a stupid blonde ninja boy as a customer every day.
That Ending Is So Stupid.Everyone pray hard that ending will not come true.
After the end of the enies lobby arc
Narrator: And so, with CP9 defeated the straw hats, along with their new nakama, Franky, set sail to the end of the grandline. What wll they find on the remaining part of their voyage? What interesting people will they meet? What will they find at the end of the grandline? You'll Never Know!!
THE END.
that would suck the most.

Sounds like Shaman King (the anime not the manga though that ending also sucked). =P
My Horrible Ending
by IT'S A LION!
as told to Chicken von Markersniffer
After killing everything in sight and landing on an island made of bubbles, Luffy has sex with Nami, who then dies and Sanji commits suicide along with Zoro. Then Ace becomes a ShichiBukai and kills Chopper and Luffy ends up having to fight Whitebeard and Shanks at the same time but then Kuro and Don Krieg show up with Buggy and kill Shanks and Whitebeard and then Robin finds the ancient weapon which turns out to be the Death Star and then they get attacked by Eneru but Luffy goes to the Dark Side. And then Gold Roger comes back as a flaming eyepatch and turns out One Piece is the One Ring and he kills the Gorousei and takes over the world and destroys every island but Raftel and Luffy has to fight him but then he turns into a mime.
So Usopp is the only one left and he kills Gold Roger by throwing the One Piece into a volcano but at the last minute he gets shot dead by Helmeppo.
I quite like that ending, actually.
Me too, except the Helmeppo part. A crappier ending would be a cop-out where One Piece was just made-up and Gold Roger was working for the govenrment all along.
Sounds like Shaman King (the anime not the manga though that ending also sucked). =P
Was actually trying to do the ending of Digimon Adventure 02 with that parody. Shanks was Oikawa (though not much of one) and Luffy was Daisuke/Davis. (complete with ramen stand…I was thinking of making it meat, but the fact that a ramen stand would be frequented by Naruto would make the ending that much funnier)
It was that or an ending with Luffy sitting in a folding chair contemplating the meaning of "One Piece" with a bunch of psychoanalytical stuff (and a sequence with Nami in a very-tight fitting school uniform).
@Tokoro:

"Congratulations!"
Nami in a tight-fitting school uniform?!? This ending just keeps getting better!
@786110:
"Congratulations!"
But who would be in that revelatory scene? Obviously the SHs and Shanks, but would we really include a lot of other characters too or merely those Luffy knows?
Maybe Koby and Franky.
I would just hate it if One Piece is some giant super invincible battle shit. I would be happy with a giant cave of treasure, with gold and nice little jewels.
Or what would realy suck is that the Pirate King has to return to Raftel once every 22 years to insert the Strawhat, or One Piece will suffer a giant sytem crash which will result in the total annihilation of the human race.
That all that speech that gold D. Roger talk about was all a lie and there never was anything like one piece or maybe that he ment that he only left one piece of something
Luffy gives up, tell's everyone to get the hell off of his ship and starts to eat some chicken
@786110:
"Congratulations!"
XD…Evangelion....God that ending sucked.
Zoro gets his hands cut off, Sanji becomes a paraplegic, and Chopper gets locked up in the zoo X3
At the end…everybody realising, that their dreams have come true, that this, along with their friendship, their adventures and the people they met...this is the real One Piece...that would suck so much....
I still would like the One Piece to be nothing but lots of money...
"Nami… hack cough ...I have always... loved... you..." thud
Arriving at Raftel and discovering a note saying "You've been pwnd"
Pandaman is Gol D. Roger in disguise.
Anything anyone on these forums can come up with.
including your post…and mine twighlight zone music
hmm worst ending possible would be that all the mugiwaras die except for luffy and luffy finally finds one piece and it turns out one piece is a mytical item that can bring people back to life and he uses it to bring them all back and live happily ever after
A main character never dies…
I know the worst ending possible 4kids takes over One Piece and then decides to go GT
To me it would be if it turned out that the story of one piece already took place and one of the strawhats or someone else was retelling it. Stories like that always really bother me.
If one of the strawhats never accomplished their dream.
Personally I wouldn't be upset if Luffy died at the end. I think it would be a good ending actually. Of course he would have to accomplish his dream first.
