It's one ad. They're not going to show all the stages and characters. This is hardly a case of "can't", it's "didn't."

No, you're just applying what you're used to to another country. In Japan, games are typically announced much closer to completion than in the United States. A lot of games that will be released in both regions are known about ahead of time because the information is released in the U.S. or at trade shows. Games that are only planned for Japanese releases are not announced anywhere nearly as far ahead of time.

I can't say anything about Tomy, because I'm unfamiliar with them. But if they didn't make this, it may be hard to get a sizeable roster. A lot of anime-game companies figure that if they can sell well without drawing on a character count, then they won't.

Incidentally the new DBZ game is supposed to come out around June from what I heard so it'll be kinda odd to see a crossover game featuring DBZ & an original(=P) DBZ game both on the market.

I'm hoping seven good guys and at least 3 bad guys for each series.

For DBZ: Goku, Vegeta, Krillian, Piccolo, Gohan, Trunks (future), and maybe Android 18 for Good. Freeza, Cell, and Buu for bad.

One Piece: The seven strawhats for good. Crocodile, Arlong and Lucchi for bad.

Naruto: Naruto, Neji, Rock Lee, Shikamaru, Gaara, Temari, Kankuro for good. Orochimaru, Itachi and Sasuke* for bad.

*of course Sasuke as bad is a stretch…

Something tells me that "teen Naruto" and "gear Luffy" would be special characters in this game if they appear at all. As for what would work for DB as their "secret form", they would probably make it something like Gojita or Vegetto. (since everyone knows all the DB TFs and I doubt they would want to make SSJ3 Goku their special)

Well, GB Rush was released a week before the anime got to Ao Kiji, and he was in with a full arsenal of moves.

What burst it looked like a power up system but according to the magic box its a combo system (like fighting one piece?). Tho if it is a power up luffy could go gear 2 and naruto go kyuubi

This an article about this game in Famitsu… I'm not sure if there are any new screens, but it comments that Eighting (The people who made the Gamecube Naruto Fighting games) is developing, with Mizuguchi (from Q Entertainment, who made Ninety Nine Nights for the X360 and Rez) as director. This means this game has VERY little reasons to be bad... still not going to preorder until I hear the character I want is in this game.

Yeah i am excited but i really do hope tomy fixes somethings so it isnt excat like GNT.

1 thing is too make it waaay easier to unlock characters. I dont want to do 120 missions or w/e to unlock cell or whoever.

2. Make the stages bigger (tho they look pretty big in don so i think we are good with this)

Wow, I'm stoked that Mizuguchi is heading this up, the guy's a freakin' genius!! But 'Eighting' tends to be a bit of a mixed bag, while their Naruto fighters are fairly solid, they also developed Fighting for One Piece, which was a total turd imo.

As far as One Piece stuff, Sanji and Zoro are added to the roster. Several items can be picked up and used during battle including one of Zoro's swords (excuse my ignorance in recalling their names) and Ussop's slingshot. Upper Yard, and the Baratie were also added as stages.

About everything else… I would have prefered someone else over Sakura, but meh. The DBZ roster is nothing special. The game looks MUCH better then the first scans shown, which makes me excited. Still waiting for who I want to be added to the roster though.

! Android 18 or the VERY unlikely Alvida…

Great that Rock Lee and some new stages are playable (Upperyard looks amazing!). But, the item-grabbing system is somewhat weird to me. Then I hope they can get some villians in…

From the scans, the gameplay almost reminds me of Power Stone.

So Piccolo, Vegeta, Sanji, Zoro, Sakura, and Lee are now confirmed. Can't wait for this game. I just hope Franky and Usopp are playable. The Skypiea stage looks great too.

I like how this game is turning out with some of the new characters and stages. I like the appearance of West City for some reason….probably because it reminds me a bit for a moment of the 18/Vegeta fight, but I digress. However, I guess it shows so far how much more variety the OP universe gives to the whole thing. (considering their stages are the Going Merry, Baratie, and the Golden Bell of Shandora....well, compared to DB and Naruto stages) I also approve of the four SHs so far (though I wish we could get Nami, Ussop and Robin...and a couple others) as well as Lee and Vegeta.

This game really looks to me like Super Smash Bros. And if Chopper is in it, I really wouldn't be concerned about Usopp, Nami, or Robin. Franky, on the other hand…

Upper Yard level looks awesome. Baratie looks awesome. West City is incredible! And on the topic of items: I'm guessing they're like in SSBM. However, Chopper using the Power Pole and Picolo using Usopp's slingshot are incredible. Both because they are amusing and because I can't even imagine it.

in one of the new scans that shows a skypier giant beanstalk stage, it appears you have climb (or more accurately, jump) up to reach the golden bell at the top
…reminds me of the ice climber's stage in smbm...

yeah, I have a policy that I don't pre-order a fgame until I know enough about the system and have seen game footage. this is how I avoided the great "Fighting for One Piece" disaster.

And I'm kind of excited about there being items, it adds some variety to the gameplay. And I'm sure you can turn them off or something if you don't want them.
