Well somebody had to say it. Was sort of hoping maybe we could get a 3-D version of JS (which I really, really want to play), but considering that we have Toriyama, Oda and Kishimoto's works together in one game is fine enough for me.
(now all we need is an ultimate showdown between Turtle, Chopper and Akamaru…)

Character designs are meh… and it must not be close to completion if they can only show two stages and four character. Yet it comes out in 3 months... I'll wait to see how it develops.

This looks absolutely incredible! I can't wait! I hope they have some of the more obscure characters from OP and DBZ (Naruto I couldn't care less about) like maybe Wiper, or at least have some of the villains - it pissed me off how in JSS you nmever play as villains. However, this should be fun to play with my Narutard friends. And wailing on Sasuke? Priceless.

I haven't found anything yet. I checked Play-Asia and Amazon and found nothing.
Considering this info JUST came out, there probably won't be anything for a day or two.

You are correct. This game has the same problems as JSS. Different distribution rights for each series in the US. Pretty much no chance of it coming out here.

You know, ever since I posted earlier today, I've been thinking about the nature of having the characters from these three series fighting and the styles of fighting in all three of these universe. And somehow, the fact that DB is there really seems to clash with the more imaginative styles of OP and Naruto. Think about it as such:
-In Oda's OP universe, there are many varied and different means of fighting. The most well known are the Devil Fruits, which allow for certain characters to manipulate whatever power is within their body based on the limits and training of the user. But Devil Fruits aren't the only means to fighting: many fight with varying weaponry from swords to projectiles to dials, and certain styles of martial arts are also used. (but usually training is needed dependant on the situation) Although there are many and varied kinds of fighting, this is considered the "weakest" of the three.
-In Kishimoto's universe, every and all means of fighting is based around the ability and usage of chakra (with some slight physical training as well). Dependant on training, the chakra can be used to do practically anything and everything, whether they be simple cloning or transformation jutsu to various family styles to increased speed and skill (like with Rock Lee's taijutsu) and even powerful and forbidden techniques. Usually abilities come from training, but many are also inherited down through families, such as the Sharingan or Byakugan.
-As for Toriyama…while there are many various styles of fighting early on in DB, it mostly comes down to hand-to-hand combat, ki control, and many many powerful "blastie thingies". While there is variations dependant on the character, many of them are pretty much the same.
While it is fine to have the DB characters there, for some reason I rather this was merely a OP/Naruto game due to all the wild, weird varieties and possibilities instead of merely "punch, kick, ki blast, blow you up". While many of the DB characters are pretty much legendary and defining in manga history, the unstoppable power feels like its constricting with more stylized abilities of the other two.
Now all I want to know is "who's in" besides the quartet we already know. (Goku, Luffy, Chopper, Naruto)

There are a lotta ways around that. B3, Sparking, and JSS have all had DBZ fighters, and they've been very fun games. Just because they're all similar in manner doesn't mean they're exactly alike. The former two were solely DBZ casts, but they worked out just fine. And MvC2 was fun despite the fact that a punch from Ryu wouldn't even come close to hurting the Hulk.
….Especially because of the fact, actually. Throwing together random characters and smashing away is often unrivaled when it comes to fun.

Ahh, now I see it nevermind. I had to use Internet explorer to see it. It is still awesome, because I like DBZ just not as much as DB. Whats with Chopper? Why did they choose him to ad? Oh well, I wonder how many characters there are. Here is hopping for Cell, Rock Lee, and Usopp!

Well, it's all in the modelling.
I really disliked the OP Grand Battle characters… I mean, they were the OP characters we all love, but Captain Smoker (Chaser :rolleyes:) had ONE facial expression, Arlong's hands looked chunky and bizarre, and there was a general lack of smooth roundness, like you were playing a very old game designed for far lesser equipment.

This game looks interesting. I was hoping, though, that a game like this would wait until the release of the Revolution and PS3; but oh well. Looks pretty cool, nonetheless.

Not to mention One Piece's Tom-san and his love for that word. I say this game will rock…...with a DON! ::rimshot:: But yeah, I think that's the point behind the name.
Now let's Franky and Android 18 beating the crap out of each other. Me wantee some cyborg vs android action. (Did that remark just sound extremely OOC to anyone? :blink: )

I'm hopin for a good number of villain characters in this game. The problem with JSS is that it lacked playable villains. Franky better be in this game, or someone is going to throw tanturm. Surely the CP9 will have a role in the game too.

For some reason, I think there will be playable villains in this game too, mostly since the villains on many of these stories are as memorable as the heroes…and possibly to allow for enough characters for all three sides.
And the pics of various characters meeting and doing their typical thing...that can be priceless! Imagine the following scenarios:
-Goku trying to devour an entire table, with Luffy trying to protect all the meat and Naruto making sure one bowl of ramen goes to him
-Roshi, Kakashi and Sanji all reading Icha-Icha Paradise together. (maybe with Jiraiya in the BG looking over their shoulders.
-Three-way sparring match between Vegeta, Zoro and...well, Sasuke is probably the only one that comes to mind right now.As for ultimate villains...well DB has a ton of them they could choose (Frieza's an obvious choice, but I can easily see Buu in one form or another) and Naruto obviously has Orochimaru, but One Piece has so many foes in various levels of power: pirate, government, or working for themselves. Having to choose between the likes of Crocodile, Eneru, Arlong and even Lucci to complete an "unholy trilogy" is a very tough choice.

I know this won't be likely, but imagine this game having a story in it. Can you imagine dialogues between characters of different series before the game starts?

Oh, and Crocodile is always a given when it comes to choosing a villian for One Piece since he's so... prominent.

I dunno, Enel was chosen as the villain for the DBZ/One Piece special. Probably because the anime was at that point when it was made, but still. If they put in villains I'd expect to see maybe Lucci, Crocodile, and/or Enel.

Yeah there's slight crossover: I think another VA does both Chopper (who is confirmed for the game) and Konohamaru (who will be BG at most).
As for villainy, if they do it right they could have three villains per series. I can easily see Frieza/Cell/Buu for DB and Croc/Eneru/Lucci for OP. With Naruto, Orochimaru is the obvious choice…then things get nebulous. Should they go with some of Orochi's followers like Kabuto or Kimimaro or add in Akatsuki like Itachi or Kisame.
Y'know, Negima WAS awesome…

How would it be odd for the seiyuu?
Krillin and Yajirobe.
Plus Goku's seiyuu did Goku, Gohan and Goten.
I doubt it will seem odd to the seiyuus if 2 characters they do talk to each other.
