Beyond Fashionably Late: The AP Awards are here!

A trip, a family emergency, and various other things later, and I'm back. And only about a week late! I've glanced in once or twice to see if anything major has happened, but few took advantage of the extended grace period for nominations, so here they are!

I just went ahead and qualified every nominee as a way to partially make up for the delay on my part.

Copy and paste the ballot, delete everything but your personal vote, and just send it to me as a private message. That way we can avoid squabbling over why this person voted for this person instead of for this other person. I'm debating whether or not to publish the vote totals as well; that seems like the sort of thing that would create a contentious atmosphere. So I'll probably refrain unless there is a massive call to do so.

I'll announce the winners… you know, instead of giving a set time frame, I'll do this instead. After one week has passed without recieving a ballot, I'll announce the winners. However, just to make sure that this just doesn't permanently drag out: no ballots will be accepted after February 1st. So the winners will be announced either on February 8th or a day prior to then where I have not recieved a new ballot from anyone within a one week span following the last ballot.

As a side note, if you wish, the Hottest Member and Best Cosplayer Categories can be subdivided into Male and Female Categories. You do not have to vote in each category if you do not wish to do so; HOWEVER, make sure that you keep the categories in order. That shouldn't be a problem if you simply cut and paste the entire ballot, but I still think it's best to warn you anyway. If you have already votes prior to this addition and wish to add a vote for another gender in each of those two categories, then send a new ballot with only those two votes in it.

Many categories (including a few of those that I have little to no familiarity with and, as such, am not confident in my ability to properly cast the deciding vote in) are currently stalemated. A few more ballots would be exceedingly helpful.

Want an example? I tried making a picture of Luffy as my Mario Kart DS decal but I saw how bad it turned out so I decided to do my avatar. But I finished the decal before I realized it was horrible.

Most of these, if worse comes to worse, I can provide a decisive ballot in all of these as the current totals do not reflect my votes, but there are a few of them that I simply lack the knowledge in to make the right decision.

It's better that somebody who knows these things breaks the tie than somebody who doesn't.

Don't worry about it; I've always been really lenient on these deadlines for various reasons or other. For one thing, it's hard to vote if the board goes down for a couple of days every week. Feb. 8 would have made a lot more sense from the start anyway seeing as how it was exactly a month after I originally posted.

At this point, I might as well wait until Wednesday evening to post the results on the chance that somebody else might want to vote.
