It seems pretty quiet does anyone that has seen it, have any Criticism/Praise about the episodes here?
nothing much to criticize, though I haven't really seen all of the episodes yet. Though I do have to say that they did the mr. 2 episode really good. It had good emotion and I think collen did a fantastic job with. Also Mike as buggy is always fantastic. Though I do have to say something about how they chose some weird accents with some of the prisoners.
Yeah, I got s7v6; just didn't feel like I had a whole lot to talk about. Not really any new characters introduced to comment on and, aside from the final moments with Bon Clay (which I’ll mimic Metwars sentiments), it didn't feel like there was too much of note.

Also, excepting the title of the first episode on this set (which was already translated from the preview on the previous set), all of the episode titles again have unnecessary exclamation marks, which hasn't happened since the start of Thriller Bark.

Wait, what was wrong with Blackbeard's laugh? I mean I think I recall that brief laugh of Burgess's not sounding quite right, but I didn't notice the other.

Honestly I think people on this forum make a bigger deal about this than it needs to be. While I pick up on a slight difference between Joel and Mike's directing and voice over choices it's never been the kind of thing that takes me out of the show or ruins the experience of the dub. One Piece is still leagues ahead many other Shonen Jump dub shows.
I'll give an example of what I mean:
Top-tier:
One Piece
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Yu Yu Hakusho (despite the translation liberties this dub has always had it's own personality)
Mid-tier:
Dragonball (the franchise as a whole. Since Kai the dub has been top-tier quality and I also think the original Dragonball dub had some very strong points despite some slight censorship in certain places)
Naruto (the dub overall is a decent production but some characters feel miscast and there are some moments where voices sound a little too standard)
Bleach (same as Naruto)
Honestly I don't have a bottom tier since most dubs these days are at least serviceable but my point is One Piece still sets the standard for all the other dubs to follow.

Yeah, I'm pretty much in agreement with you. I’ve seen people complaining about Joel as a director every time there is a mistake of any kind or a certain casting decision they didn’t care for, but it’s not like Mike was ever perfect either; I definitely remember complaints about the dub when he was full-time director in season 4 and Enies lobby. It just never felt like there was ever really the type of shift in quality some people are suggesting.
And, not to try and diminish his quality or influence as a director, but I think people make too big of a deal about Mike’s directing work in seasons 4 and 5. I mean yeah, these were fantastic seasons of the dub and he did great work on them, but at the same time those seasons, in general, were some of the best seasons of the show period; I don't see it as solid proof that hes the only truly capable director for One Piece.

At one point in episode 452 Burgess laugh sounds a bit more like "Hya Ha Ha". I kind of let it slide since it was only the one time and he had his usual laugh earlier in the set, but it isn't quite right. Not really sure about Blackbeard though…

Blackbeard in that ep was consistently going ZIIIII HA HA instead of ZEHHH HA HA, which he had appropriately been using since the end of Water 7. If it was one time, I could see it as something that was overlooked, but he does it three times in the ep.

Burgess laugh sounded more like "Hya Ha Ha" to me. Not really correct either way, but it was the one time so I overlooked it.
As for Blackbeard, hasn't the dub used both before? I remember during the Ace vs. Blackbeard fight him doing it both ways.

At the begginning it sound like "Zeh Ha Ha", but at 1.08 and 1.29 it sounds more like Zii Ha Ha to me (with perhaps a bit less emphasis on the Zii part than in 452)
You're right, it's more suspect than I remember.
I'm way, way behind on the dub. Just watched the episode where Dragon speaks. It sounds like a normal voice trying to be be raspy, like a bad batman impersonation.
But otherwise, Ivankov kills it. He's perfect. Can't wait to hear more of Jinbei and Crocodile.
I don't terribly mind Joel's directing, but I think I overall prefer Mike for the energy he brings to the directing. Joel I find is a little more… deadpan. I thought that worked well in Space Dandy, but I feel One Piece is better suited to the pep Mike brought.
I never meant to say that Joel was drastically worse than Mike; Mike just gives One Piece a level of attention to detail that isn't there with Joel, and he seems to be better at tone direction and overall mood.

It hasn't been officially been confirmed yet. All we really know is that they are trying/planning on releasing this year.
Have we ever considered that maybe he meant the time skip will be releasing at the end of this year– not the time skip special? Maybe he just got confused.

You are only behind by 3 sets. Since the final volume of Season 7 came out last week. And the first volume of Season 8 comes out on May 31st.
I hope they can give us something soon about the specials.
Like we are working on getting all of them.
Or we have them already but its not our highest priority to dub yet.
The ones i am waiting for are Nami and Robin.
Redub is always kind of special.

They've told us before they're working on getting all of them. As long as Toei has it up for grabs, FUNi is willing to look into licensing it. It's just time and money, and I imagine figuring out which license would maximize profits at the current timeframe.

Plus on their website years ago before they were revealed,funi had posted a picture of the the entire crew on their website. So I don't think funi really cares too much about spoiling anything.

I'm pretty sure he was trying to imply that 3D2Y would come out after season 8 was over

So, uh, did we ever figure out Crocodile's mysterious secret past that Ivankov kept eluding to? Was he a woman initially or something? Not sure if Oda ever mentioned it in the SBS; I'd completely forgotten they said anything about it.

I always just assumed that it was him wanting to be king of the pirate's. Oda mentioned it on an SBS before, though I doubt that is the secret ivankov was talking about.
