Did I heard Cirno in this thread ? But yeah, Magearna actually fits a fairy/steel type (or why not, a "space" type), rather than Mawile.
Pokemon Ultra S&M - Let's Minecraft Pikachu and Eevee Quest

They need to make a Dark/Fairy-Pokemon! There are so many ways to go with that typing, like a mischievous spirit-thing. I'd really love that.

Possible Pokemon Sun & Moon mascot (names) leak through filed trademark

I hope so. Solgaleo is a pretty awesome name . Tho it evokes Sun Lion which we sort of just got last Gen. Still got.my hopes up.

Or Galileo, the famous astronomer.
-
Moon thing seems to have wing theme on it "Ala"
-
There were also other trademark names found out, people believe they belong to the starters:
!
Mokuroh - moku means tree/wood. People guessing the last part would go for fukuro (owl). If it is a grass owl, I have my starter.
Nyabby - nya means meow. The last part people are guessing could be from hi/bi (fire)
Ashimari - ashika means sea lion.
! There is also a MarshadowIt should be noted that none of those, including Solgaleo and Lunaala, have Gamefreak as its owner, so it might very well have nothing to do with pokémon at all.
-
! A fire Cat starter? YES PLEASE!

A sea lion? So we have a successor to Seel?
-
Grass Owl sounds hype. All of those sound cool.
And we should have more AP Pokemon tournaments for this version. The ones for X/Y were lots of fun.
-
A grass owl, a fire cat and a sea lion? If those are true this is going to be the first time ever it won't be easy choosing my starter.
-
The problem with the sea lion is that its name suggests it will have a sphere like body and, well… Spheal is pretty much that. So I am skeptical regarding those names.
p.s.: now that I think about it, Spheal would have been a great starter.
-
Maybe is a sea lion and not a sealion.
-
Bulbasaur is the only starter I recall had double type from the get go. Wonder if the grass owl (if the leaks are true) is also going to have two types already in its first form.
-
Oshowott already turned into a sea lion in his third form, so…

Well, Torchick wasn't flying-type.

I knew you were hard to please, but not that much…
-
I generally like pokémon, so a "meh" by pokémon standards already means I think it is cool/cute/whatever.
-
Oshowott already turned into a sea lion in his third form, so…
But he started as an otter . . . .
-
I was super trolled by Chespin. I liked its first form just fine. But then its second fatty form was incredibly awful. But it was like "okay well, it learned bite, and it's clearly going to be tanky, so maybe they will do the dark/psychic/fight trio in reverse.."
Then instead of a dark subtype it gets fight, and its third form looks like a damn Snarf, and his signature move of Spiky Shield, while interesting, was not great. AND it couldn't learn any of the grass draining moves like Giga Drain.
So dissapointed in that line. My friend and coplayer took Fennekin and was much better off. ANd I don't regret not playing the frog since it was later realeased with its way more interesting hidden ability and that's the way I'd want to play it.
Still dissapointed Wotter didn't get a sub-type as well. Ice or steel or something interesting other than pure water… or shell smash or SOMETHING to make him work...
-

goddamnit .
-
Also Combusken looks like genitals.
-
In Chessnaught's defence, he was supossed to be a Physical Tank of the three and nothing else. Hell, he was a better tank than Torterra. These starters always have something they aren't good and that is what your 5 other slots are for.
-
A physical tank with no dependable way to heal. I was fine with the concept of "the tanky one", but the execution sucked.
And for grass tanks, well, we already had Ludicolo and Ferrothorn with better abilities and typing for tanking… and the same gen gave us GoGoat who had fantastic HP and movepool... and ALL of them had giga drain or drain punch rain dish or synthesis or something.
Apparently ORAS gave him access to some of those in move tutor form but.... too late for a first impression. And both his second and third form suck after a promising first form.
SNARF.
-
Well, that what Leech Seed is for. I mean really, that might be the only HP recovery move people let have in their final movesets instead of things like Recover and Synthesis.
-
Eh, I disagree. I think Quilladin looked like a rock pikmin, but Chesnaught is actually an awesome last form. Not to mention that having a bulky grass/fight type that has access to spiky shield was definitely an interesting way to go about a bulky starter.
Design-wise I dislike how much he looks like bowser, but even then it's not a terrible design. I know this is unpopular, probably, but torterra looks way more stupid to me.
Admittedly, Chesnaught was the only starter of that gen I didn't really use myself, but that's in part due to other grass types in the game being more appealing to me. But as far as starters go, I find all of the Kalos ones on equal-footing design-wise, even if Greninja was the chosen one for ultimate popularity by anime and sakurai.
-
Chesnaught was easily the best final form. Quilladin best form overall. All of the first forms were equal imo. All good. The other two just made some bad life choices growing up. Especially in their last forms.
-
Feh. Fennekin was the best X/Y starter hands down. Fire/Psychic? YES, thank you very much.

Too bad you had to turn your cute little fire witch into a dark evil wizard.

That has fur growing out of it's ears for no reason in all of it's forms.

Fine with me. It kicked ass.
-

Ehn, probably the one I like less, from start to finish at least.
Frokie is my favorite in all stages(Fennekin is pretty close in the first one), I find chubbydin pretty damn cute and Chestnaught is also goofy I like goofy looking pokemon, Fennekin and Braixen are cute, but then Delphox is kind of meh, not that I dislike it, but I don't know I was expecting to be a little more wowed based on the first two, it lost the cuteness and didn't become cool, goofy or anything, it doesn't seem to have anything that stands out.
-
I like to think of Delphox less as a mysterious dark wizard and more like a messy nerdy one. I guess it's the ear fur that gives me this idea, just give him spiral nerd anime glasses and that's it, perfect.
-
Time for some fake leaks.
!
Or maybe not, as I just recalled the starters from B/W were leaked the same way.
-
Yup, their creator already confirmed them to be fakes: http://marix20.deviantart.com/journal/Sun-and-Moon-Starters-fan-made-604932791?ga_submit_new=10%253A1461527708
I particularly like these ones better, if only for the fire one being extremely cute.
It seems the "grass/owl fire/cat water/sea lion trio" is already seen as certain by the fans, though.

(2) Outlook for fiscal year ending March 31, 2017
For Nintendo 3DS, we will release Pokémon Sun/Pokémon Moon globally in winter of 2016 (holiday 2016 in the U.S. and late 2016 in Europe). Why are they suddenly unable to release them at the same time for all regions?
-
Urgh really? why are we going back to this? Europe is going back to aving to wait months for games, Pokemon at least wasn't like that.
Frankly this just seems another case of rushing, like they couldn't get everything done in time(the languages).
-
What is the difference between 'late', 'winter'and 'holiday' 2016? Thought those were just different terms for the same time frame
-
Yeah, I thought so too. Isn't that the same time frame? And I recall ORAS was released one week earlier in the US, this isn't anything new.
-
I'm guessing it's like, late November for "holidays" and then before the end of the year for everyone else. Not a big difference.
-
It's a somewhat concerning difference given the whole "global release" mantra they spent way too long talking about.
It's unbelievable how much ball-dropping there was today. This company is falling apart.
-

Ah yes, the usual claim I read often when they are doing things wrong. I've read that same argument way too many times at this point to even give a damn. This whole calling for company hecatombe thing is getting too old and I will only believe when it really happens.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I'm guessing it's like, late November for "holidays" and then before the end of the year for everyone else. Not a big difference.
I'm pretty sure both dates are set in the same time frame. Holidays in the US begin earlier, isn't that right?
-
Yea, I've heard the claim said multiple times too. I think it's a fair assessment given the news today and the recent decadence of Japanese developers.
It's the having blind faith in the company without reason that's getting old for me, personally.
-

I didn't say that anywhere in my post. Nintendo has already make me angry quite a few times this year, so no, I'm not a blind supporter of them.
-
If i don't get a Mega Flygon i will personally torch Miyamoto's House.

Pretty sure Miyamoto has minimal involvement in Pokemon games these days

After how much of a shit he was to Game Freak during the development of RBY, and how much they despise the guy in general fearing that he may ruin their series too?
-
People think Nintendo is only Miyamoto and Sakurai.
