And Porygon, but this one is not their fault. Nevermind Jynx, I would love to see a Basculin, Maractus and Stunfisk evolutions and even a Druddigon pre-evolution.

And Glameow/Purugly. That one is so buried and obscured it's ridiculous. I looked it up yesterday in one of these two threads. It's only been in the main game for 1 of the last 13, and only in the hidden postgame single area secret quests for 2 more. You have to REALLY go out of your way to find it.

I'd guess Glameow was fine but people hated its evolution.

Claydol is another one they don't really push.

Oddly, Meowth doesn't actually get all that much love. I get the feeling if Meowth wasn't the Team Rocket mascot, he'd be out as well. In the first 3 gens (not counting remakes) he was in 3 of 7 games… and there was only one Emerald. He was in all of Gen 4, but only once in gen 5, again as a trade. Wasn't in XY at all, and you had to breed a persian to get it in ORAS.

So Meowth has only been in like, half the games, and as a unique in several of those. Weird. Farfetched gets more coverage and has been in almost all of them.

(Or maybe that means he's super popular and they know Meowthy being a version exclusive will push copies/)

I really liked Glameow. Purugly looked like it would either split in half or topple over because of the way the legs and thorax were drawn. Also what was up with the random markings and whiskers? Overdesigned much?

Bugs have been doing super well too though. Gen V gave us a tons of good bug types and there's plenty of great bug type moves as well.

Now, that said, another bug/fighting or even bug/water… heck, water/fighting is not that common either. With a design based on that it'd be pretty sick.

I'm biased to bug types because of gen v, so I want my tardigrade and my mantis shrimp on the bug side of things. And trying to figure out the best bug dark (mosquito) bug ghost and bug fairy.

I'm certain that I'm missing another unexplored type combination.

I'd love to see a third evolution to the Chinchou line. I love the typing and design of Chinchou but Lanturn is just this vaguely fish shaped lump. I'd champion a MegaLanturn but thats only temporary and I doubt the design would change significantly enough for my taste.

Dark/bug locust would be cool so I could use a plague of them to herald my arrival upon this poke-earth.

My new dream, though, is for a ground/flying mountain goat pokemon. We need a non-legend ground/flying pokemon and what better option is there? I mean have you seen a mountain goat jump? They can go 12 feet in a single bound. Throw some gliding/balance wings on top of it, call it a reference to Baphomet and you've got a pokemon.

I think that a dark/bug combination would fit a cockroach pokemon. Another thing, I would love to see more normal type pokemon with a second type.

Reimagining the originals (should include gen ii as well) with an approach closer to gen iv. Id say the idea was to go v and vi but I don't think that the last two gens were the over designed mess that was gen iv.

This makes me hope that the purpose of the "back to the roots" its about the mons designs. Avoid overusing colors, stick to a theme, more creature less human/stuffs limiting it to one or two families.

I saw a couple of days ago a crazy theory that in Pokemon Moon and Sun, [hide]Pokemon and man fusion will be introduced.

It's a short vid so give it a go. What brought this back in my mind after initially dismissing it as a silly theory, was… Bill. Who I just helped turn back into himself when he messed up his experiment and turned himself into a Pokemon. I wonder now if they brought back the old games not just for the anniversary but to also remind us that they once suggested Pokemon and humans could possibly fuse in the future when Bill eventually got it right and cover their asses if they do bring that back into the games as another form of Mega Evolution. People react negatively saying they pulled this right out of their arse? They can just throw Bill's experiment from the original games that everyone must've replayed by now, right back at them.

I didn't even know about Ash's Greninja before this btw.

If this is their actual plan for the games, we can kiss character customization goodbye for yet another game :( Judging by Ash's Greninja fused form, they'd definitely need a set character outfit if they plan to fuse every friggin Pokemon with the protagonist... My poor heart... ;-; I wanted more outfits..[/hide]

Fusions are also on the table able after what they did with Kyurem.

Sure that was theoretically a "unique one time time" but… the setup is there.

I can't imagine they'll be in a hurry to really implement it since it'd have to be limited and because it makes the possible combos ludicrous.. (When Monster Rancher did it they managed to get like 400 monsters out of a base set of like... 20.) but I can see them doing it with the more popular things... IE, whatever already got a mega.

I do imagine they'll milk the megas for another gen first because that's still sort of a new thing and there's still a lot of mons that could use an upgrade. But then... Greeninja already points the way towards whatever weird thing they're doing.

If they actually go forward with that thing where pokemon gain features of the trainers I could see it just being limited to the starters, otherwise it might get a bit rough in terms of how many designs they'd need.

Yeah people have been going with the fusion thing ever since we saw those shards/gems in the titles and remembered about the manga, I hope not, I really don't want that to happen, didn't want it in Digimon, didn't like it that much when it happened, let it be Kyurem thing and if it not make it somehow like Kyurem not humans, but with the whole Satoshi-Greninja and the thing taking his trainer forme I definitely can see it happen.
