We are obviously trying to break him.
If you are jelous, I guess we could put your name somewhere. How about the Bleach thread? -

Dayum, she's the bomb! I'd bet that she could blow you away with those hands of hers too, if you catch my drift. Never mind that though, dem landmines are where it's at! You could get lost in there without a trace! Too bad you can't keep up with her though, she'll keep on coming at you relentlessly; quite the "heat seeker" I'll tell you that. When she does catch up with you though, you're gonna think that you bit the dust, it's heavenly. Seriously, you'll think that she blow you right back into yesterday it hits you so hard. Every day with her over and over again brings you some real peace of mind if ya' phrase it that way.

And yes. I did all of that for the sake of puns and references(1); and no, I'm not sorry.
Just a bit of real advice though, if you're really considering the option; you best get yourself some protection.

Anyways, let's not derail this topic.
Who are your favourite minor antagonists in JJBA ?
Phantom Blood: Bruford
Battle Tendency: Wammu
Stardust Crusaders: D'arby the Gambler, Pet Shop, Hol Horse/J'Geil and Vanilla Ice
Diamond is not crash: Yuuya Fungami (Highway Star arc was fantastic), Keicho Nijimura ( gotta love Bad company) and Surface user.
Golden Wind: Ghiaccio, Nero, Pesci/Prosciutto, Polpo (ominous stand) and Cioccolata (Wakamoto or Ryusei Nakao should voice him)
Stone Ocean: Lang Rangler, Miu Miu and Ungalo.
SBR: Mike O., Blackmore and Eleven Men (took part in the best shootout).
Jojolion: Yotsuyu

It says "dietary supplement", not "condom".
Does Diego "Diosaurus" Brando count as a minor antagonist?
-
No, he's got almost the same ammount of spotlight than Valentine.
-
Yeah Diego is more of an Anti-hero and an important third party through-out part 7.
-
First Diego was pretty much a more serious Hol Horse and second Diego was more like a homage.

I'm also really liking the A-un twins, hopefully they'll stick around a bit longer than Aishou and Yotsuyu.

I heard that somewhere, but the page on Amazon doesn't seem to list a release date (unless I missed it, which is possible).

I am already at the Limp Bizkit fight.[hide]invisible zombies are cool, I thought he would use Gloria to attack Hermes….[/hide]
Also, I really liked Weather Report, I thought he would be a serious character, but yeah, just another crazy guy.[hide]His stand is so broken. (especially the frog rain).[/hide]

I finished reading the Phantom Blood arc just yesterday. It's an okay start to the series. The characters and writing are a bit stiff, and, as anyone who's familiar with my posts can imagine, it was a little too grim for my tastes. And between the horror elements, the over-the-top muscle bodies, and the overdramatic expository way in which the characters talk, I'm not even sure what the general tone was supposed to be. But it also had some genuinely awesome moments, particularly once Hamon came into play. Though if I wasn't aware that this was apparently one of the weaker arcs in the series and that it supposedly gets a lot better, I probably wouldn't continue reading it.
Here's hoping that Battle Tendency is a lot better.
-
Battle Tendency is da bomb
-
Joseph remains my favorite Jojo
-
kouch needs to post so we can have our annual Part 2 vs Part 7 debate.
-
Here's hoping that Battle Tendency is a lot better.
It is.
Part 1 is the least original and honestly, the most stiff of the parts. Battle Tendency is noticably and amazingly better and is honestly a contender for best part. (Personally, my fav is 6, but Part 2 is up there)
Joseph is WAY more expressive and fun than Jonathan. -
So far I am not liking Enrico, he is just Dio´s puppy, sure, he is "funny" (he counting prime numbers is pretty funny), but I can't seem to like him, I can't see "him" as a villain.
The things I am liking in the 6th part is the prison and all the weird things that happens in the place, is just like part 4 and the weird city, but in a much smaller place.
[hide]Also, I am reading the part of Survivor, in the scans that I am reading, Enrico said that this stand can "develop" stands in others, is this right ?[/hide]

Well it's a series that inspires things like this (NSFW-ish? gow safe for work are burly half naked men?)
and has a fanbase that generates memes from it like crazy.I think it's as gravely serious as wrasslin'.

@TLC:
kouch needs to post so we can have our annual Part 2 vs Part 7 debate.
There a couple of things that are not subjective, but entirely objective in this life.
One, is that Battle Tendency is best Tendency. I mean, part.
Two, is that Joseph is best JoJo.
And Three, is that Reigen is best Arataka, but this has nothing to do with the current discussion.
Part 7 sure tries its best to be the second best (part 4 still gives it a run for its money, if not entirely tops it), but part 2 is where the shit and potatoes are. Hell, the only Steel Balls I know of are Joseph's weapons in part 2. Plus the ones he was born with.
Edit: To the fella below me, you might wanna spoiler tag that. Please.

http://soz.matchupp.com/?p=6992 Spoilers of chapter 46 has been leaked.
Kewl:
! " The brothers are called the Aphex Brothers (Twins). Their Stands are "Schottky No.1" for the older brother and "Schottky No.2" for the younger. The younger brother's ability seems to be a poison gas sort of Stand that he keeps inside the ball. Karera's Stand is called Love Love Deluxe. This chapter is mostly a fight. The older brother says Jousuke's ability of "stealing and destroying" is similar to Kira's, but he also seems to be a lot like Josefumi. Jousuke fights them by stuffing the ball full of Soft and Wet bubbles (This summary is pretty vague). Karera used her ability to light them on fire using her hair ability to spread a fire she started using the gasoline. Jousuke hits them with their own poison while they're trying to put the fire out and they turn to stone and break apart. Karerea mistakenly thinks that Jousuke is Josefumi having used the Rokakaka fruit's equivalent exchange power with Kira.
"
! Edit: In case anyone's not aware, "Love-Love" is a Japanese phrase derived from English (Wasei-eigo) meaning "lovey-dovey" or "head over heels in love".
! Edit: Apparently the Stand names are a reference to an Aphex Twin song, "Schottky 7th Path".
! 'Love Love Deluxe' :blink:Also slight Part 7 spoilers ( video included)

To disagree that Part 7 is the best part is to disagree with America! And that makes you a Nazi! Part 2 had Nazis! Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
Part 7 had dimensional hopping, wacky races, Dio (twice), Dinosaurs, Diosaurus, Pulp Fiction references and the best fucking President in fiction (And I'm counting Bill Pullman and Harrison Ford).
Screw Joseph's steel balls, can his balls transcend dimensions through the power of their golden rotation? I THINK NOT!
Vote for part 7, VOTE FOR AMERICA!!!
-
The thing is while Josep is the best, cars and his manservants are average at best. Nothing can beat the glorious american spirit of a legion of north america presidents from all dimensions, even the fatty and rapey ones.
-
I have to agree that Joseph is the best JoJo. He was great in part two, with an interesting personality and fighting style. I liked how much of his outcome was from luck and bullshitting his opponents. Also, you can't deny his manly poses and the amazing bromance with Ceasar. He also returned in Part 3 and was great in that as well. He wasn't a physical fighter at that point, but he was still entertaining and made for an emotional impact at the end.
Despite that, part 4 is still my favorite part. The final confrontation with the villain I feel is the best of all the series, and the way Josuke used his powers was quite interesting.
Have no idea what Lee means with his third point, so I can't comment on that.

Joseph can't create dimensional holes with his balls via some bullshit explanation, true. His powers are way more grounded. But you know what he's really good at? Something people down there at Part 7 are pretty incompetent at? (spoilaaaaaahs. . .)
!
Ohhh, snap.

I thought AC/DC was adequately fruity, Wham was more than adequately manly and Cars was more than adequately posey.
And he creates killer squirrels. Your fatty president with his uber hax stand mixed with his uber hax Yisus helper can't stop some nails coming at him. As a president, Obama breaks this clown.
@The:

For that, you'll have to read Mob Psycho 100%. And you'll thank me later.
-
There is a universe where Valentine is a killer squirrel, take solace in the fact that prime V didn't find him

Part 7 characters may have worse mortality rates than Game of Thrones characters but that just makes things exciting and unpredictable. And they die in epic, manly ways (unless you're Hot Pants where you don't even notice that she died). Gyro died while giving manly speeches about balls and how best to rotate them, can't get more manly than that. Went out in his prime. Joseph stayed alive so he could cheat on his wife and get conned into buying a shitload of diapers. Not manly.
And I raise your killer Monty Python rip off squirrels and give you dinosaur coat hangers!

You talk about dying in epic and manly ways but I don't see certain names following, like
! Wham or
! Caesar. Hmmm, you must've forgotten, that's it.I'll see your dinosaur coat hanger and add flying octopus, plane eating piranhas and volcano eruptions as the only way to defeat the final life form. I'd say it's a tiny wee bit more epic way to off a villain than "oh shit, that nail sure got me! It stings like hell! I guess I'll die. . .for America!".

Since Part 7 is a currently a topic:
-

The amount of manly death in Part 7 far exceeds that of Part 2. It's a Man's World after all.
I counter plane eating piranhas with Dinosaurs, more Dinosaurs, Diosaurus, collecting Jesus like Pokemon and fighting dimensional hopping American Presidents!
Our lord and savior Funny Valentine may have been killed by a nail but it was a transdimensional infinite rotation nail! Not to mention the number of times he was killed before be it having his throat sliced by dinosaurs or getting run over by trains. Joseph only had to kill Cars once (he failed but he only had to do it once)! Yes, the final conflict against Johnny may not have been uber over the top epic but the drama came from the gritty realism and emotional substance of this face off which was far more satisfying to me than flashy volcanic explosions. Like watching a good Tarantino film, the best scenes are not the goofy over the top action scenes but the calm, quiet ones of two people talking at a table. It was a battle with the heart of America at stake after all!
-
I feel no OREOREORE will be as satisfying as the one directly after Tusk breaks through Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap's everything proof shield.
-
Without jesting, Part 7 is great, I just have some beefs with it, mainly regarding tone, atmosphere and some abilities (that rain guy, or World of Man man). But it is a cool series, the journey is nice, the fact the core party is made up of only 2 characters with an array of side characters coming to help from time to time, each with their own motivation, was pretty great.
But Part 2 is Indiana Jones on uber steroids, and that's simply impossible to match.
-
Aww, the game is over then :P
In that case, a nice present to all.

Holy shit, I didn't remember, and I thoroughly searched the last JoJo thread, and I found it. It was great.
It ended went you brought Part 7 Dio using his dinosaur powers + his ability to turn inanimate things also into dinosaurs and that combining both he could create a skyscrapper sized dinosaur dong.
I had to serenely skedaddle after that.
