Any idea when those episodes will be out? Can't hang with my Ducktales watching buddy for two to three weeks.
-
Since things have been quiet lately, I thought I'd share a few fun videos of Ducktales voice actors in other roles.
What prompted the idea was this video of Della's and Huey's actors (Paget Brewster and Danny Pudi) together on Community.
Paul F Tompkins and Paget Brewster (Gladstone and Della) as
Marc Evan Jackson (Bradford Buzzard)
to his Thrilling Adventure Hour show, Sparks Nevada Marshal on MarsJason Mantzoukas (Steelbeak) discusses the mission of BB-8
in their episode about the movie Hackers. -
A sneak peak to this week new episode of Ducktales.

Episode summieres for October are out.
! "The Trickening!" - The kids goes Trick or Treating at an Haunted house, while Launchpad faces a ghost from his past.
"The Forbidden Fountain Of The Foreverglades!" - Scrooge and Goldie faces Rockerduck again.
"Let's Get Dangerous!" - Darkwing gains unlikely sidekick, while they discovered an mystery tied to one of Scrooge's employees.
"Escape From the Impossibin!" - Scrooge tests his new security system. -
Very nice episode.
! Gladstone having a day in Donald's life, training montage with aunt Magica.
-
Really good episode.
! Magica and Gladstone were some the highlights of the episode. I got good laugh when Gladstone transformed into Donald. I like that we learned more about Magica's past before she got sealed up into Scrooge's number 1 dime. Lena's magical girl form is pretty cool looking. I'm interested to see where Magica goes from here now, since she got her powers back now.
-
I wonder when this new season is going to Disney+? My friend is only keeping his subscription til we watch the second season of Mandalorian.

I wonder when this new season is going to Disney+? My friend is only keeping his subscription til we watch the second season of Mandalorian.
Season 3 won't be on it until next year. Since by the end of October, we're only going to be at the halfway point of the season.
-
I liked the episode.
! Got a bit cheesy in the end but I liked Lena's development and having a magic user on the team is always fun. The training montage was fun but just how long did it take for Lena to master her powers? A day? Week? Couple hours?
! Gladstone was fun. And, Magica is always a treat now that she's not treated as the Thanos of the series, but more of an Ultron. A high-level threat, but no way near invincible. Can't wait to see what she does next. Probably gotta wait until the next season since this one's all about FOWL.
! I love Webby, but her character seemed the weakest to me compared to the others in the episode. She really needs more going for her than Friendship Girl and Super Butt Kicker But Only When It's Convenient to the Plot. -

Damn. It's so annoying that so much of their stuff hasn't been put on DVD yet (or might never be).

More information about the Ducktales Halloween Special is out.
-
The new episode was great.
! It's good that finally got more of the aftermath of the season 2 finale, since it have been awhile since we saw both The Moonlanders and Glomgold. I got a good laugh with the reveal of Gibbous being Owlson's replacement and the same time with him foiled Glomgold's plans against Scrooge. I like that we got some character development with Penny and I already adored friendship with Launchpad. I'm interest about the teased throughout the episode with them showing Lunaris' ship still moving around the moon.
-
I wasn't crazy about this one.
! I'm kinda over the Warrior-Aliens-Adjusting-to-Earth trope. But, I do like Penny's friendship with Della and whatever's going on with her and Launchpad. Still, if Della is her best friend, why didn't she go too? The showrunners really had to jump through hoops to make it a Webby episode.
! Glomgold was a big meh, but surprisingly, I didn't have a problem with Dewey being there! Definitely an episode I don't need to watch again. -
Here is the special opening for next week Halloween episode.
-
New episode was pretty good.
! I like the references to the Disney shorts with Donald and Della's Halloween costumes. Launchpad's flashback got a good laugh from me. Also during the climax of the episode with Donald asking the monsters,"Where's Launchpad?" and then Lanuchpad shown up also got a laugh from me.
-
Huge Ducktales news! They announced the voices for Gosalyn and Taurus Bulba. Gosalyn will be voice by Stephanie Beatriz and Taurus Bulba will be voice by James Monroe Iglehart.
-
Besides the Launchpad plot that "Don't call me Shirley" Airplane reference killed me.
-
And I like the old episodes. So to speak, the classics of the genre. New ones somehow don't come in like that. Although I review the old ones with pleasure.
-
I like the twist
! But, the episode wasn't a fun as I hoped. Scrooge was great. Donald and Della were fun, but Launchpad's plot wasn't that entertaining, but I did like that he was a cubby kid in the flashback.
! It's kinda weird but with so many great supporting characters in the show, I always feel like someone/something is missing when they focus only on the main characters.Huge Ducktales news! They announced the voices for Gosalyn and Taurus Bulba. Gosalyn will be voice by Stephanie Beatriz and Taurus Bulba will be voice by James Monroe Iglehart.
I didn't know Taurus Bulba was confirmed. Nice. I want a Darkwing Duck spin-off so much.

Another clip for next week episode, "Let's get Dangerous!".

The new episode was great.
! Some parts in the episode was pretty dang dark, especially with them showing Leon turning into dust in the water. The character development for both Scrooge and Goldie was great in the episode. I'm happy that they are showing that Goldie is changing with her decide not to take and save the triplets. Rockerduck was pretty funny like in his previous appearance. I also like their was some Louie character development in the episode with him figuring out Leon's plan really quickly.
-
Nope. I'm not watching any previews for the Darkwing episode. I'm going in cold. Now, I just have to keep telling myself that until it airs…
As for this week's episode:
! I liked it more than I thought I would. Goldie is such a great character and I love her development throughout the seasons. Webby was…there. I love the triplets this episode, even Dewey who was only mildly annoying to me.
! Love the twist with the fountain stealing youth before granting it. Overall, it was a good episode. -
Just here to say that:
! Goldie and Scrooge. Chef's kiss.
-
Another clip for next week episode.

More clips for next week episode.

Man they are chuggin that hype train along! Hopefully it bodes well for a DW spinoff.
-

The new episode was great.
! This episode remind me how much I enjoyed the Darkwing Duck tv series. I can't believe we got an reference to the infamous Scrooge rant about the sea monster at his ice cream. Drake and Gosalyn devlopment throighout the episode was great and it show the family dynamic of Drake, Launchpad, and Gosalyn. The main storyline is going to be really interesting now that Scrooge now know that FOWL is back.
-
Forget Darkwing.
! They put fucking Bonkers in the episode, what?
-
That episode was everything I wanted it to be
! it massively advanced the FOWL plot also!
! But they gave me my Seamonster Ate My Icecream ref! Almost the highlight of the ep for me! -
I was laughing and having the time of my life this episode.
! I really enjoyed it. I can't begin to list all the references to the old Darkwing AND Ducktales series. Glad Taurus Bulba is still the main villain when Drake meets Gosalyn. Owlson is St. Canard's mayor! I absolutely love that. The super computer, Wanda, is also a great addition. And, of course, seeing the Fearsome Four again was a treat.
! Really surprised the FOWL plot got so much attention this episode. I wonder if it's because they're setting up Darkwing working alongside SHUSH in the future.
! Gosalyn herself was great. She still has that adventurous personality and her new design is great. We even see nods to her future superhero persona, Quivering Quack. Nice.
! My only two issues with the story are the Fearsome Four getting sucked back to their world and Darkwing and Gosalyn's developing relationship feeling forced at times (mostly the scenes with Launchpad and/or Dewey reacting to their friendship). It's been a while but I felt the original series' did it more naturally, but maybe that's because I love the end of that opener when 80's Gos, thinking Darkwing was dead, realized Drake Mallard was Darkwing and wanted to adopt her.
! I'm assuming the Fearsome Four is coming back some way (probably Negaduck reactivating the reality machine down the road), so I'm not to hung up on them leaving for now. But, while I loved Bushroot's design we didn't get any dialogue from him. Strange.
! Nitpicks aside, again it was a great episode and really hope they announce the Darkwing spin-off after season 3 ends.Forget Darkwing.
! They put fucking Bonkers in the episode, what?
That blew my mind! I thought I'd never see him again. I seriously hope they keep him as a cameo character if the Darkwing spin-off happens.

The FOWL reveal and the following episodes have been pretty great.
-
The last two episodes of the FOWL storyline have been great. I like the JoJo references that we got on this week episode.
-
I like that Louie is actually more respected in the criminal underworld than his fake persona. Auntie Goldie would be proud.
-

There was more than one?!
I kinda get, from a character arc reason, why Huey was focused on to take down Steelbeak, but for real, Lena could've EASILY handled him. I did like that Huey basically unlocked his inner Unca Donald to wjn.
I did really like Louie propping up Violet to the criminals. And hey, Maddog from original Tailspin was there! Rockerduck continued to be a riot (but not as much a the most Scottishest FLINTHEART GLOMGOLD!!!)
All in all it was great seeing such a large cast of the heroes and villains in a single ep.
-
The Money Bin one was fun. Great seeing Louie and Della together.
The Sword one was fun but the main plot was weak (The sword pieces were out in the open this whole time? Come on.). The writers probably just wanted an excuse to bring in all the kids and I'm fine with that.
And once again, FOWL is shown to be a competent threat. Good. But, I'm wondering where SHUSH will fit into all this. Probably in the Darkwing spinoff if that ever happens.
Oh! And, Dewey was annoying. Can't forget that.

Yeah, I love that one of the triplets has the family rage. Huey being the one with it is a bonus.
I also agree that parings were good. With so many characters it's fun to mix and match them to see what happens. Violet and Huey were my favorites. Webby and Dewey are classis together as usual. And, Lena and Huey was fine.
-
When Dewey isn't annoying Nectar, when?
-
When Dewey isn't annoying Nectar, when?
I think he was less annoying in the first season AKA Dewey's season (the stuff with looking for Della and being the middle kid was nice), but after that it seems like the writers have settled on Dewey just being annoying.
Speaking of seasons, I guess next season will be Webby's season so SHUSH should be a big focus then.
-
Well she tackled grandma about training so it would be nice to now about her parents.
Dewey was only acceptable in the Della search episodes, he has been annoying since S1. Louie and Huey are way more likable. -
I pity Donald for having to deal with all of Storcules nonsense.
-
Hades was the best part of the episode and it was only like one minute of it.

To the surprise of no one after how DT has been handling it, a Darkwing reboot/spinoff is officially in the works.
https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/darkwing-duck-reboot-disney-plus-1234830283/
https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/news/darkwing-duck-reboot-disney-plus/No one is attached as writing team yet (executive producers tho) so no telling what the relationship will ultimately be, but it feels odd that they'd do all that setup and then redo it from scratch again so I'd have to assume it'll be an offshoot and allow crossovers..

well this was bound to happen sooner or later.
-
what a nice episode.
-
First Adventure was great.
! Lots of callbacks to the comics and 80's is always welcomed. It's great seeing how FOWL first started and that Beakley took over as SHUSH Director after Von Drake "died" (I still don't think he's dead.).
! Can't forget about Duckworth. You can tell he and Scrooge had been together for a long time. Della and Donald were fun. Black Heron and Bradford were fantastic. A shame we didn't get to see Scooge's sister though. Overall, just a fun episode.
! And, no Dewey!
