I'm calling this one the "Will Nex still be a Chargers fan after today?" thread.

Ladies and gentlemen, it has been an absolutely insane off-season thus far, mainly due to Chip Kelly's wild ride, but so many big moves have gone down, that I've been double checking that we're not stuck in a sad Madden Matrix. And today is the culmination of all of it. The draft. Today someone will mortage their future on Marcus Mariota, trading the farm to Tennessee for the number 2 overall pick.

I can only pray it's not my precious Bolts. (If they give Rivers up, it's the purest omen of their impending move to LA…)

My lamentations aside, this should be a fun one, and I'll be missing it all due to Age of Ultron...I'm totally looking forward to getting the news while in line for the movie and then just crying over my wife's shoulder until the previews start. Ha ha sob.

With that all said, you know what comes next, let's get this season started!

This is where I wish we had some sort of label or unifying cheer to show solidarity. Soooo… Bolt Up! i guess?

Stuff I've been reading has indicated that the Titans and Chargers each had a high price that were incompatible and talks broke off. Because apparently a repeat ProBowler and premier quarterback isn't worth the No. 2 overall pick.

Not that I'm complaining.

Well this is a rarity, for once the Ravens actually took who I thought they should in the first round. Maybe I'm learning! Hopefully Perriman turns out better than our other first round WRs.

So the word going around is the Eagles offered to the Bucs and Titans two 1st, a 3rd, Fletcher Cox and a couple other players for their pick, most likely so they could get Marcus Mariotta and both teams declined.

Pretty high pick for Gurley. They probably could have traded back or done just fine with a lesser running back. Jeff Fisher seems to have a penchant for high-profile picks though.

Kelly supposedly offered Sam Bradford, which solidified my belief that he was just a pawn to get Murray (They have been very good bros since Oklahoma) away from the Cowboys

Packers got UCLAs QB..Hundley should be a good QB for them as a backup.
I just hope this doesnt turn into another situation in the coming years like what happened to Matt Barkley from USC

Wells Report on the whole overblown deflated balls fiasco is out. Patriots organization seems innocent but evidence suggests that two locker room attendants colluded with Tom Brady on the balls. Looks like a high chance that Brady gets suspended for a few games.

Don't think that will stop the Pats much. Belichek has proven he can even win with a crappy QB, so as long as they have him back by playoffs it'll be same story. I'd be more interested in watching Brady without Belichek, but that won't ever happen.

I think it gets cut to two games, but if it doesn't this is all too possible:

Jimmy Garoppolo starts and wins all 4 games by a combined margin of 110 points. Brady comes back like nothing happened.
Cleveland trades a first round pick and rights to use their field as a toilet to the Pats for Jimmy Garoppolo.

I wouldn't be surprised if they traded for a first round draft pick but, really, that sort of thing should be banned.

It's pointless to even try and enforce discipline by taking away picks from a team if another franchise just lets them get around the punishment with a trade.

Turns out that the Patriots won't appeal the fine or lost draft picks though Brady's appeal against his suspension will go through.

At a guess, they did that to increase the chances of the suspension being reduced or thrown out altogether.

I'm really not sure what a court is supposed to do. It's not like NFL is required to follow a court's decisions. Seeing as how they've always punished players who got acquitted even.
