That's an understandable concern assuming it was premeditated like in Alabasta but I (personally) was only really referring to physical evidence functioning as proof of identity. Meaning it doesn't need to be a flashback showing us they decided ahead of time to keep bounty posters for reference, but rather something like Usopp already having them in his satchel and thinking to check them or just grabbing for a weapon and seeing them. It could also serve more than one purpose by allowing him to see his Sogeking bounty and, like at Thriller Bark, have him confide in Sogeking for help. Granted that's just me taking the idea and running with it, so there are a lot of ifs involved, but anyway I'm just saying the idea has merit.

I want some of that self-confidence to be found without wearing the mask. Oda has shown some hints of Usopp being known as Sogeking without use of an actual mask. There is the newspaper that posted his unmasked face with the name 'Sogeking' and then Doffy's usage of the name.

Usopp needs to get some confidence himself without relying on his alter ego now, then be put in a situation where he think that he cannot get out of it without using Sogekin and then makes him realize that he doesn't need his alter ego in Elbaf, he cannot just jump to his alter ego every time his facing an enemy alone but that's just me.

I find it somewhat funny that Usopp, in his quest to become a brave warrior and make a name for himself, always becomes famous for a pseudonimum instead. I don't believe Sogeking will make a appearance, like many of you are suggesting. Instead, he'll carve the name of Usoland this time. And so, his tales will all become famous, but will never be linked to Usopp, who shall remain unknown forever. Many from the East Blue, if he ever goes back, won't believe he's the legendary SH pirate. In a very Norland fashion, I'd say. This will also help him remain unkown for his father Yasopp until their proper introduction. Might be he'll never actually tell his father who he is.

Ahh thanks and I don't think it can be related to suspense since we still don't know anything about him and putting a basket in his head wouldn't help much anyway, but it might be something related to another samurai/character that is supposed to have that design or something like that.

Is not about having so many possibilities, is about how the story is unfolding right now, Usopp's side is the most important side as of now since everything depends on him, so moving to another scene will be a complete let down and a what people call 'bad story telling'.

Hi, i posted my thought's on Usopp's actions today on youtube and i tought that i would share it here, i am new here oh and sorry for my english:happy:

Not trying to look like a blind fanboy but i think the reason Usopp is being set up like this is because for his character to progress further he needs to stand up and be brave for himself. I see the situation like this, say you were walking down the road with your little sister and some bully harrasses her, you would act since you care for her but if you were alone and the bully harrassed you(He is a lot tougher), would you act? For Usopp to become braver he needs to stand up for HIMSELF, that is why i think Robin was forgotten. Throughout the series we have seen Usopp become more and more brave but it has always been for SOMEONE ELSE's sake like a crewmate or Kaya. He has already stood up against stronger opopent's for his nakama's sake but for him to take another step closer to his goal of being a brave warrior he needs to man up for himself, Usopp's pride need's to be the catalyst of his bravery.

Yes it would, the most important part of the arc right now is the underground port and Oda has been invested in it like crazy and throwing hints all over the place, just look at last chapter he made Luffy and co. reach the cards room but made Violet stop Luffy, so they can wait till his done with his interrogation, Oda made the toy soldier comment on why they're not done yet (Leo's group), he made Franky comment on how he cannot lead the Marines underground since the plan will be throw off circulation and the Colisseum is full of toys (chaos), so every single scene is relying on the port right now, focusing on something else won't do any good to the story right now, what can we get from the other three scenes?

Sabo fighting, Franky fighting and Doflamingo asking pointless questions.

Exactly, I had the same thought a while back, there are too many purposes that it serves. He becomes unknown to his father who have yet to know that his wife has died and his child has become a pirate. But mostly the fact, by the end of the series he can go back in East Blue to return to Kaya, something even his Dad couldn't do.. and of course to tell his tales. I'd like to add the fact that his bounty as Usoland will probably be more than Sogeking's initial bounty.
