Today is a memorable day; because we are voting in a final between Jinbei and Montblanc Noland. I am pretty sure that it’s not an exaggeration to state that no one would have predicted a final like this. Who would have thought at the start of this tournament that Noland would make it to finals? I know that I did not expect it, although I did of course plan to support him – but I never thought we could go this far.
I wasn’t even sure if Noland could make it through the preliminaries, so I was already quite happy that he succeeded in reaching the first round. I never expected to beat Rayleigh in round one, but somehow we did it. The strong tag-team with Doflamingo helped us through the second round and in the third round Noland managed to beat Franky against all odds. When even Doflamingo himself, the biggest favourite for the tournament title this year, was defeated I guess I should have expected that anything would be possible; but still I did not actually expect Noland to beat Zoro in the semi-finals. Somehow we made it, though, and now we are here – in the finals.
The reason that we have made it this far is because this has been a big team-effort. Because people realized Noland’s potential when he kept moving on through the rounds. Because all of us realized that he is a great character that deserves to actually go this far. Because you, as members of Arlong Park, saw your fellow forum-members rallying behind a great cause and doing all they can to support a character they love. And it’s not even only because Noland is a great character (which he certainly is, in my opinion), but also because we all felt that we were working towards something great, something amazing – and the farther we made it, the more we wanted to succeed. People who didn’t care much about Noland at first also joined our numbers, people who didn’t usually pay much attention to the tournament also dropped by and voiced their support and there were even some new people who created an account just to be able to support Noland!
We made it this far because of all of you! And now that we are here, in the finals, why not seize that myth-shrouded final prize? Let’s crown our great achievement and grab that tournament title! It will be a victory not just for Noland, but for all of us as members of Arlong Park; because we will have shown that amazing things are possible when we all unite!
Together we can do this, my friends! Let’s ring that Golden Bell one final time! Light the Fire of Shandora!
