Didn't he say that Nami's body made it hard for him to swim? I don't think CoO is affected by your body as it's the "act of not doubting". Maybe I'm wrong
Maybe in some other translation, but not the ones I've read.[hide]

He thought his haki was weakened, because he wasn't able to distinguish Kinemons life force from that of a fish, but the real reason why he wasn't able to do that was because a shark was eating Kinemons body.
Yeah, I got the impression from all the translations that it's the life force that's been weakened, including the one you posted….
No chapter this week?

oh, you know, apart from Totoro: "Nausica of the valley of the wind", "Laputa, Castle in sky", "Princess Mononoke", "Spirited Away", "Howl's moving castle", and there are also "Kikis delivery service" and "Ponyo" and some other I haven't watch yet.

Ok, cool. We're talking animated movies here, or what? I'm not much for manga/anime other than One Piece

ok, cool, it's just hard to find anyone in any manga fandom who don't know Hayao Miyazaki and his works, as they are classics, even most people outside manga fandom have seen at least one of his movies.
I was wondering….
we got the aohige signal for when we need a translation, someone should make an urouge signal for when we NEED his chapter review! :)
Ok ok, I got pretty busy and was going to take the week off from this but I'll throw something together after the fact since you asked so nicely. It's a bit limited since I've already read the next chapter.
I like where this cover story is going. There was a lot of intrigue with Caribou at the end of Fishman Island based on what he was going to do with the information about Shirahoshi. I think the fact that it's being tackled in a cover story means it won't be relevant to this saga in particular, but I could be mistaken depending on how long Jinbe remains a focus. In any case, I think we're going to see Caribou getting beaten up a lot.
I didn't expect fixing the door to take 4 pages, and I almost thought the chapter could start with Law having already repaired the thing. Ramping up the suspension is a good idea, though, and hey the G-5 guys got to be useful for something. And Brook and Zoro made a pretty good punchline out of it all to boot.
Sanji not wanting to switch bodies back was hilarious. And hey look, after switching back, Nami's right eye is tearing up. I guess this is theory material for whatever's going on with Sanji's right eye. I don't really know what to make of it, but I am leaning slightly towards the idea that it was drawn that way for a greater purpose.
2 hours before Law does something crazy. Even after a week I don't really have a good idea of what that might be. Some sort of self destruct sequence is the obvious possibility, but I fail to see the benefit of something like that.
It's no surprise that the vast majority of the protagonist cast is focusing on rescuing children. There just aren't that many people to fight against right now, after all. I hope Smoker finally gets a chance to redeem himself against Virgo. His character took a pretty big hit when he got punked by Law. Taking down Virgo himself would be good for his story.
I love the UFO move, as the concept seems both effective and hilarious all at once, but it's not much of a cliffhanger at all. I'm also glad that Zoro acknowledged that they had been taking things too lightly. I'm not sure that will stop, but the yeti cool brother loss in particular was pretty unimpressive for guys like Zoro and Sanji who should be significantly harder to get the drop on.
