Nami is… horrible. Literally everything about her anatomy is horrible. I hate being so bashfull about figures but yeah... Did they let the same person who made SA Luffy sculpt her? Their legs look the same formless mess. Thouse feet and knees... Sheesh! Her face looks terribly flat...

Haha yea those feet look really bad for POP quality. Wouldn't say I'm surprised though, the day Megahouse decided to release a POP with an extra book I knew they were gonna cut some corners here and there… No matter how you look at it, the price doesn't represent good business value anyway.

On a slightly more unrelated note, you gave "bashfull" a totally different ring to it haha.

I really like both Nami and Zoro, they look stunning and I hope to have them in my hands someday. That Luffy though…

It's intriguing how much opinions can differ.
Personally I can easily put Zoro on the number #1 spot, closely followed by Nami while Luffy has something maniacal to him that throws me off. You can see that the sculptor tried to capture Luffy's state of mind in that particular situation but it didn't really work out in the figure's favour…

As much as I love Great Deeps, most of their Luffys are quite scarry. It's about the way they position his eyes? I don't even know… The only Luffy of theirs I liked is the regular time skip edition.

I think the sculptures for those bust tried to hard to make luffy look fierce/tuff.

I'll actually agree with you here. All his pops are crap, and not many of the smaller lines can catch his likeness just right
Thank goodness for the crouching Marineford Kuji, but that's about it for me.

I kinda wanted his Marineford one. But the fact that he looks like he's taking a dump was enough to convince me otherwise XD

Mhm, those aren't bad actually, I have the brotherhood pop set still, forgot that, and the Grandline children ver isn't bad either. AND I like the WCF of him (most are done well), but for scaled figures? Not a chance. It's a shame, I really wish to see Luffy done properly in the scaled lines, especially POP for once

Honestly, I hate every single POP Luffy that's been made so far (barring the Neo). It just went from "meh" with the first releases which were true to the art and okay I guess, to just plain crap with the most recent ones. Whoever the hell the sculptor is needs to f*** off. The SA Luffy is just abysmal I really hate it, and the other ones are all in that same style (barring the 1st release, Neo & SW I believe) and it's just utter crap. Like I laugh every time I see it. Will there be a good scaled pop Luffy? I highly doubt it since they seem to love this ATTM sculptor doing Luffy. I'm like 2% interested in seeing what the Z Luffy will look like, I know it will look like crap so I don't care. I will be honestly surprised if they call in someone new and make it look good. (I don't remember the number was it a million or more pop's have been sold worldwide now?) So with raw numbers like that there's really no incentive for Mega to improve or anything. They'll just keep doing things the way they want and we'll keep buying it like mindless sheep even if it's crap. The community on here seems to be waking up for the most part and either cutting the POP collecting down due to a variety of personal reasons (financial, high cost, lack of interest, lack of quality etc.) or just simply stopping and going for better quality lines instead. The allure just isn't there for pops anymore and it's starting to show. I feel like the ridiculous prices they're now trying to charge (Maximum Kid, Franky) due to One Piece's popularity just aren't going to hold up imo. I mean it probably will with Franky because he's a crew member, but people are catching on and really starting to develop critical eyes for quality. So I mean really, I feel like they need to step the quality up a bit on the whole, especially for a scaled line for such a popular series such as OP. They do bust out some pretty nice sculpts and characters here and there, but as far as Luffy is concerned? I'm not holding my breath.

If you believe MFC he also made franky SW, franky SA and both marineford ace and luffy. SW Franky is really good and so is marineford ace. Best Ace POP imho.

I agree with this. To be honest, imho, Marineford Luffy & Ace with Whitebeard is still one of the most iconic POP displays and the one that really got me excited about collecting POPs more than 2 years ago now. Simply timeless!

Haha, as sad as it is to admit I know you're right. Small characters with a lot of paint detail. You know CC's unpainted face is going to look shiny, cheap with paint spots and sloppy craftsmanship. I wish it wasn't true:sad:

Makes me wonder whether we'll see Hody & CC POP's now that we have FAZ's.

That reminds me, are there still no pics of FAZ Hodi and Luffy BV?

I liked the look of CC when he was unpainted. Not so much now. If he's cheap and they announce Monet then maybe I'd bite.

Law is….Law. Nothing special about this figure at all. Boring pose makes him look boring. But hey. They're getting him out of the way quickly at least.

Makes me sad that I've gone from buying a FAZ almost every month to one every once in a while.

But on the plus side. Finally the Chopper set is out!

Seriously, Ive never seen it listed anywhere. Not BIJ or Nippon or anywhere that carries exclusives of all kinds wether it be stores or conventions.

Upon alittle research is was a Jump festa exclusive from Dec.22 or something like that. It doesn't appear to have been listed anywhere so it must be pretty rare. Theres a used set on Ebay and a set sold on Manda for 7000yen. Anyone know where to find the set? I can't find it on YAJ.

I think some messed up in eyes, some in the mouth. Looks like it's not easy to sculpt Luffy face.

I think this is one of the best Luffy sculpt (although not scaled). They got his face, pose (gear 2nd), pretty much correct.

For POP I agree, not even one can impress me. And the Neo one isn't better than Neo POP of the other Strawhats.

Franky lower body part is horrible too. I wonder if Megahouse realize their POP Luffy SA is a joke (looks like they didn't since they put him as the center of POP book cover).
