Suddenly, Ludo asking Elizabeth to help him exterminate the demon clan, or urgin her to "wake up", acqires a whole new meaning.
If I recall it right, she and Mel met in the battlefield. Looks like it was love at first punch.

Wait, Merlin had it all along? And she didn't give it to him during any of those life-threatening fights?

He was immortal, what was the worst that could've happen to him?
What if Danafor's Liz was the one with the closest personality to the OG Liz?
It's wrong that I find funny that Indra fight became a desperate struggle of killing as much baby demons as possible?
Wait, Merlin had it all along? And she didn't give it to him during any of those life-threatening fights?
Didn't she also had Meliodas one.
The babies Indura are cute compare to their mother. But I'm not really interested compare to the fight with the demon king
No wonder Mael had his sights on Elizabeth. Literally no any other woman among the goddesses could compare to her.
Now I want to see Mel and Liz's first encounter so badly.
If Mel and Elie are going to face the demon king, the other 5 sins are going against the big Indra, who's going to be Hawk and Escanor's end boss? The Godess? Joey's (Cusack's) curse? I would loathe to end the manga without the Glutony and Pride gaiden.

It'll basically be Genesis from Preacher.
So Ellie finally became her OG badass self, and Ban finally got his damn sacred treasure, albeit it being through the deus ex machina that is Merlin. Interesting.
Sure Merlin may sometimes pull stuff out of nowhere. But when the repercussions in the outcome of things are little to none, it hardly matters. I wish other authors learned a bit from Nakaba.
Thinking it through, it actually makes a lot of sense Merlin had it all along.
Ban is an expert thief, one that can steal stuff from many mts. afar. If he wants something he'll get it no matter what. His reach is so ridiculous even non tangible things like physical strength are assimilated into him. He also has got as a keen sense of awareness, therefore, there's no way he would allow to have his own property get taken in his face.
Of course, if is Merlin, the one that knocked out Meliodas cold during the Liones uprising, of course it would be possible.
Wasn't it stated that he lost his weapon when he surrendered himself?
[hide] [/hide]
And then Merlin stole it back from them? Lol, she can teleport anywhere, so yeah, the point stands, only someone like her would pull that off.
I just assumed it was in some coffer in Lioness until Merlin dig it up, because Nakaba is ending the manga and we haven't seen it yet.
It makes sense for merlin to have it, what it doesn't make sense is why did she wait until now to give it to him, unless she happened to get it during the "epilogues".
It wouldn't be useful to send him to purgatory with it, but vs Demon King Meliodas it would.
And if she had it before the purgatory trip, when Ban was just a punching back, that just makes her look extra bad, but then again he was inmortal back then.
Well, knowing the author, either he'll answer it in the questions corner, or Merlin will lampshade it next chapter on the grounds that either "It's a dangerous weapon" or "I just found it yesterday!" or "I was reparing it"
If we take Chastiefol as an example, then Ban's ST must be nuts and could have potentially left Meliodas body damaged beyond repair.

If we go by Edinburgh's story, it's not that OP, it only increased his range. But then again at that time he was merely an immortal and not the worlds strongest mortal.
I stand by the hope that it allows Ban to snatch non physical items… That being said, regardless of it's power it would have been a boon for the team regardless of it's power, so the only explanation I could see is that merlin got it back recently.
! If the raw I saw is true, it looks like Escanor is soon to get some resolution one way or another. Also Ban seems to be just overkill now.

! His armor is a nice throwback to chp 169 colour page.
Yep, I was right on the money.
! The reach of Ban's ST is ridiculous, and destroys anything that is in its area of effect. In other words, reverse Ominous Nebula.

Ban is OP, plese don't nerf. And Best Boy Escanor once again steals the show.
I sense a new gaiden chapter comiiiiing….
Oh, I would really like that.
By the way, I just learned about the Tale of Gawain and the Green Knight and I realized that's basically what Galand was all about.
I'm really just reading for escanor at this point.
So that's what it does? That was pretty underwhelming given the inexplicably long wait.

Yes indeed, I wonder how he even managed to defend that when the 3 other guys were crushed.
I hope the gaiden will not disappoint given how good Escanor character is
Ban Lee: Enter The Indra :ninja:
My guess is that Mael will forfeit his physical from to fuse with Escanor, just like the original Escanor was supposed to be a fusion.
Considering what is his final oponent, this is a job for Luigi Form.
So that's what it does? That was pretty underwhelming given the inexplicably long wait.
What you were expecting a sectioned staff to do?

I guess it is a matter of opinion/perspective.
I agree I wanted it to have a different power, but for what Ban's power is, it is really strong. He can snatch physical objects including parts inside of someone (honestly that part is horrifying). When he knows something's location he can then use a sectioned staff to grab it from afar. Based on what merlin said, the range that the treasure can reach seems to be based on Ban's strength. It also seems to allow him to move the weapon in odd ways. Normally this would be a very tough situation because if the staff can reach insane distances and move in odd angles it would be hard to control quick strikes with accuracy. That is where the power comes in. It seems to give great concentration, so it allows Ban to hit with insane accuracy in addition to reach, speed, and power. Definitely makes Ban an Area of Affect master. That being said, when you combine that with his snatch ability, he would be able to steal 100s or even 1000s of items with accuracy and speed. Finally add that to the horrifying fact that he can steal physical parts from something… He could slaughter any army in seconds.
Honestly, if Ban was evil with this set up, people would probably consider him worse than all but the most horrific demons.

Something cooler that would've made the long wait worth it.

Yea, I'm not arguing it doesn't work well with his skillset or anything when you think about it more. I'm just… very meh on it regardless. Ah well.
It's like we weren't informed that the deal with the Sacred Treasures is to bring more of the inner strenght of each Sin than what they usually do.
Oh wait! We did.
Also the argument we waited long for it kind of don't hold water considering we technically saw Ban using in the Edinburgh Special.
"Keep your expectations low boy, and you'll never be disappointed".
Kratos
I really like Escanor being brave even without any strenght, I hope the guy gets a happy ending.

Nah, I don´t see that likely, I would have enough with him not dying and getting to live a normal life. It would be rather cruel to not only take away his power, but having him die as well, the guy hasn´t even told anyone that he is dying.
Oh lord. Someone asked if anyone ever noticed that Ban and Mel both wound up with girlfriends that look kinda like the girl version of each other. I can't unsee it now lol.
Well, Elizabeth and Mel go way back than Ban.
Both got their girls before they even met.
I know. But I can't visually not see the resemblance now. Where before I didn't notice at all.
I fail to see how Elizabeth resembles Ban.
Nakaba almost killed me this week.

Best boy proves once again that it’s a terrible day for rain. So good, so pure…sniff.

And for the Goddness sake can someone heal Escanor’s body.

That felt like a perfect chapter of battle shonen manga.
! Man, watching Escanor fight over the next couple chapters is gonna be a bitter sweet experience… Praise the Sun!
