If the nami special ever did get dubbed, would this mean that arlong's laugh would be restored? I'd sure hope so.

I suspect it would. And out of all of the specials, Nami's was probably the best. Not that I've seen them all, but from what I've seen.
-
Before I would say that, but I feel the recent 3d2y special topped it.
-
Really? I'll have to watch it. The animation style seemed offputting from the art and I heard the fighting was bad and the story was typical filler crap. I'll check it out eventually and make my own opinion, though.
-
Eh, most people's opinion of the OP anime is excessively negative these days (rightfully so at times ) that even the genuinely good stuff gets overshadowed. It's hard to notice any of the good stuff when all you get is the never ending circle jerk of bitching. While not as great as anime arcs of the past, toei had been able to pull off some really great episodes/arcs, such as the ASL arc for one.
As for the current special, the only real problem with the special was the Hancock fight (and even that was excessively exaggerated whining) and world's back story. The fighting definitely felt like a step up of what the anime usually acquires these days.
-
Very true. I remember one of the last few episodes being pretty good, yet everyone seemed to think it was horrible just because of the end of the episode filler.
-
When are the december solicitations going to be posted
-
Late next week most likely

If any special gets dubbed then I'd hope for it to be 3D2Y, since it was practically like a made-for-TV One Piece movie and I was pretty fond of it. I'd rather not have the Nami or Merry specials get dubbed because it covers material that we've already seen and it would take time away from getting the dub further into the series.

I agree with you so bad.
they will propably release 3D2Y special next summer.

Seriously doubt it. At best we'll be in Sabody next summer, still an entire saga away from the timeskip.

I don't think that 3D2Y is getting dubbed anytime soon… but the timeskip factor didn't stop them from dubbing Film Z.

Congrats to Colleen Clinkenbeard, who just have birth! Back to work on One Piece in a few months, probably.
-
so happy for colleen.
WHAT KIND OF BABY DID SHE HAVE
-
-
Does her baby poop?
-
-
It has gum-gum powers. In fifteen years or so, they'll show a flashback with Luffy/Hancock's kid and Colleen's kid will voice him.

Moria's voice is great.
-
Moria sounds awesome! Also, I'm glad they have been keeping the laughs recently

Rightstuf likes to ship their products before the release date.
Film Z should be shipping out soon through Rightstuf; I'm betting we'll get it next week. S6v1 won't be shipped until September 30th because it's only through Amazon and Amazon doesn't ship early. Rightstuf will get S6v1 much, much later (check their release date on their website if you want to know when).

Can't wait to get both voyages from Rightstuf. Wish today was the end of October.
P.S. Remembering all 9/11 victims. -

Sounded like garlic junior from dbz to me.
-
Morris sounds good. Honestly it didn't take much for me, his voice in Japanese is annoying as hell. This one isn't as high pitched, which is better. Imo.
-
I think my issue is that the voice sounds incredibly fake. I mean, sure, this is a cartoon, but the rest of the voices don't sound so manufactured.
-
I'm not sure what you're getting at by saying it sounds fake, but the voice fits fine when you have an exaggerated antagonist with a completely un-natural laugh, which Moria fits to a T.
-

The Japanese voice is even WORSE in that regard. Moria is one of the more ridiculous characters of OP, so this voice pretty much fits the bill. Honestly its more natural and normal sounding than his japanese voice…at least so far.
-
Moria sounds great to me, way more tolerable than his japanese voice that's for sure. And they got his laugh down perfectly.
I don't really see anything to hate on the english dub actor's performance, I'm looking forward to hearing more of him actually.
Someone on YT mentioned he sounded similar to Krusty the clown, which is kinda true if you listen hard enough.

THANK YOU. I was wondering why Moria's voice sounded so familiar to me.
-
Well, I suppose it is a rather throaty voice. Hah. It'll grow on me, probably.
-
Holy crap, he DOES sound like Krusty the Clown from the Simpsons. Here's two clips side-by-side for example:

Have you guys read Funimation's description of the Second Voyage? Why are they describing Perona as a Lolita?
Summary: Get ready for a boatload of goose bumps as the Thriller Bark spookfest continues!Luffy’s impulsive attack on Gecko Moria ends up costing the rubber-man something he can’t live without – his shadow! When Zoro and Sanji find themselves in the same boat, the three fierce fighters must find a way to recapture what was lost, or face the possibility of death by sunlight. Luckily, their skeleton friend, Brook, knows the trick to defeating Moria’s zombie army, and he’ll gladly share the secret in exchange for a little help defeating a sinister zombie samurai! Meanwhile, Nami is kidnapped by an undead scoundrel who wants to make her his wife, and Usopp must rely on his natural state of negativity if he hopes to survive his encounter with a gothic Lolita and her ghostly minions. Hair raising thrills are the story of the hour as the Straw Hats attempt to escape Thriller Bark with their shadows – and souls – intact!

I mean…. that's what she's based on.... a gothic lolita. You know how the back of the boxes like to be a bit silly with the word play.
There is an error, however. It says that there's an undead who wants to make Nami his wife. Absalom isn't an undead last I check.... he just looks weird. XD
-
Ah, thanks for clearing that up, for some reason I was thinking of Stanley Kubrick's Lolita, my bad
Yea that's true, I think they meant invisible or unseen or something.
(BTW has Film: Z shipped yet from Right Stuf? Looking forward to that release!)

Oh god, now I'm not gonna be able to hear him as anything else.

Not a fan of geckos voice either would of thought it would be European accent or something of that nature
-
just play seconds 0:18 - 0:19 during the trailer over and over again while watching this:
