Their plan does actually. If you're not a compatible host or have an emotional trigger, the beast can take over.

Naruto was a compatible host and we saw how hard it was for him to control himself when he got emotional.

There are so many things that could go wrong with plan.

1. I'm pretty sure it was stated that most people are incompatable with Bijuu and usually end up dying. So were they just planning on abducting random ninja until they got one that fit? Why not just find a loyal Mist ninja who'd be willing to die for the cause and then have him sneak into Konoha?

2. What if Kakashi hadn't interfered? How were they planning on sending Rin back to the village? Why would she voluntarily go back when she knew she had an unstable chakra monster inside of her? Wouldn't she just refuse to go back or kill herself? (hey, waddya know? That actually happened!)

3. What if the Bijuu actually really did take to Rin and she was able to control it? Then all they would have done was just given an enemy soldier an insane chakra boost and let the chakra monster fall into the hands of the enemy.

Edit: You know.. I just thought of something though… Why did Rin kill herself?

Why didn't she just go back to the mist village and explode since she apparently had free will?

But to answer your question, Rin, good-natured girl that she is (I guess), probably wouldn't want to kill anyone. Certainly not a whole village.

Actually, that's the one part that does make sense. Bijuu go away for a while after the host dies, but eventually are revived.

No no no you got it wrong. The Rin who died is just an impostor because the real Rin would never die. The real Rin can only be herself if she's alive and Obito turning the world into one big genjutsu is him getting the real Rin…back... okay fuck it I don't know anymore. Kishi sucks.

I though the revival thing applied to them dying in general,not dying with their host.

If it applies to that as well,then the only way this stuff can make total sense is if…Kyuubi was tsundere for Nardo from the very beginning.

I'm trying to recall examples in which the Jinchuuriki died and the Bijuu wasn't extracted right away (like it happened with Akatsuki) but it seems we had no such deaths. Then again, in Kushina's case it was mentioned that she could sacrifice herself along with the Kyuubi and that way buy them same time since the latter's revival would take some time. The Raikage also said the same thing about Naruto when trying to kill him back then. In conclusion, we can assume that the Sanbi died along with Rin and was revived sometime later (and then became part of the fourth Mizukage).

So I guess Obito plans to hypnotize himself as well? Though if all he really wants is to fool himself Memento style, I don't see why he has to involve the rest of the World. Just look into a mirror dude, and send yourself into the matrix you weak willed pussy.

Not really. He got the hollow and quincy powers from his mom. His father's sword was called Engetsu, similar to Zangetsu. Its only natural he gets his dad's reiatsu and abilities.

Think of it like DNA. The reiatsu, hollow powers, quincy powers, and shinigami powers are all part of his parents, and therefore part of Ichigo.

Why does it need to be similar? Kubo could have made something entirely different. Weren't the Zanpakto supposed to be unique? I think it's fairly lazy writing. Once again Ichigo takes on a trait that isn't solely isn't his, anything that hasn't come from someone else. And the other chapter Ishin used some sort of sword fire attack. I could be wrong but I'm fairly sure it wasn't Kido.

that part is easy…he effectively controlled 4th Mizukage and consequently whole mist village in later years....
as for the rest it is pretty much as you said i guess....to create a world where you make your own reality...with every people around...

Or, put another way, get a huge stock of drugs and stone yourself into another reality 24/7: problem solved. It's not very different from what Madara plans, after all, but it's easier and quicker, and you don't even need to bother other people.

There's no age requirement for being a Jinchuuriki. You just have to be compatible with the Bijuu and able to control its power (or at least prevent it from running wild).

Madara is planning to use the scribble with 10 tails to realize the moon-eye, which will hypnotize all the world… IIRC. At least, that was before zombie-Hashirama was resurrected. Now, probably, Madara just want to play with his old buddy and has forgotten everything about the moon-eye.

The whole Rin thing confuses me. So…..Rin willingly let Kakashi kill her because she had the Sanbi? inside of her, and she didn't want to pose a threat to the village? But then Obito says to Kakashi that Rin dying is not the only reason for his descent into madness? Am I reading this right?

People flipped their shit when Sasuke decided to not be an ass and team up to take down Madara, but I'm personally more annoyed at "Rin was a jin-whatever"

Hell that entire plan the mist had would have made a cool gaiden arc or something, but Kishi just runs through it so fast, it feels very ass pull for me.

He could do that. After all it was Madara's plan to be resurrected by Nagato's Rinnegan so there's no logical reason as to why Obito couldn't do it. And that's why it's not going to happen- because it would make sense for once.

Maybe it's the same issue as with Jiraiya, which was… I forgot, something bullshitty.

This is not much of an issue though because it makes more sense he does not want to revive her. His reason is not that he wants Rin back, his reason is disappointment in all people he ever trusted and the state of the world in general. If he does that Infinite Moon Eye plan thing, he can create a perfect world where stuff like that does not happen in the first place. To me, at least, this kind of behavior makes sense.

And then there is Rin being a host for a tailed beast, which on the other hand is dumb. Doesn't Rin's death mean all soldiers, especially Kakashi at that place, are screwed and is a big middle finger towards him? Since, you know, Rin's death will release the tailed-beast on the spot. Kind of bitchy if you think about it, considering Kakashi saved her in the first place.

If Rin were brought back to life just like that, she would probably demand tons of explanations from Obito.

Plus, Rin isn't actually Rin according to Obito's logic, so no point in reviving her, because she isn't Rin anymore. To Obito, an illusion of Rin is more Rin than the actual Rin because Obito thinks he knows Rin better than Rin herself.

If I remember right, a tailed beast takes some time to reincarnate once the host dies.

So Isshin manages to save Masaki and…."fix" her? at the obvious drawback of his own powers. Masaki finishes high school, the two of them get closer and closer....I wouldn't normally care, but screw it, I like the pairing. ....More so in early Bleach when we learned of their tragic story and it was WAY less confusing....but whatevs.

I'll give Kubo credit for establishing a reason for Ichigo's inner Hollow appearing (rather than it being a random side effect of Urahara training), but Daz makes a good point: Isshin's powers should've returned when Masaki died (bond broke) rather than Ichigo getting powers of his own

And I sit on the edge of my side for next week, because you know Kubo's gonna troll us. Calling it now... Aizen AND/OR Bach is related to Masaki's true death.

Obito flat out states that he doesn't give two craps about the real-life Rin, and the real-life Kakashi, since he can just custom design his ideal Rin and Kakashi with his Moons Eye plan. Dude is willing to tear off the head of Flesh and Blood Kakashi in order to create Hologram Kakashi.

Dude is sick in the head. Imagine if someone in real life had an crush on a girl- and instead of courting her, a more perfect, idealized replica of her.

So…I thought that when the host dies the Tailed beast is free to go on a rampage. Wasn't that the flashback we saw way back when about Naruto's mother? Or does the host have to be alive for them to make a break for it? I'm so confused I can't remember the rules for this stuff.

I love how Kubo can't even give his fans what he's been promising for years with the King's Realm, because he's been promising to explain Ichigo's backstory, and so he had to pull the brakes in the middle of one to do the other and I'm realy bored of this whole flashback thing, especialy since Kubo finaly picked up the pace (lord knows he could have spent a chapter or two on Isshin's acclimatization into earth society alone) but I'm afraid this next bit is gonna be bogged down with sensationalist shots of Aizen doing creepy things extremely slowly. Like I can feel that he's gonna be spending chapters on less then five minutes exchanges in the very near future again.

I think it takes a while or something for the tailed beast to go escape the host after they die and Obito used a Summoning Jutsu or something. Didn't Itachi and Kisame kill one of the Jinchuriki way back when?

@Maam: The "secret of Ichigo's birth" was one of the things Kubo wanted to show the readers, and I guess it's a good thing we're getting that (lord knows there's too much focus on Ichigo to begin with), but you're right. It's smack dab of the middle of the larger picture, of the Vandereich/Seireitei in ruins/HM becoming a concentration camp/etc.

So unless Kubo somehow ties more Quincy history into this flashback, it'll just feel….eh, out of focus as a whole? But of course, there's always a drawback. The more Kubo Quincifies Ichigo, the less and less Uryu matters as a character (yeah I know he's not that important nowadays to begin with), and the more redundant he becomes.

What about Orihime and Chad finding Grimmjow with Urahara, or Renji not failing the Division 0 training, or the freaking Vandereich being STILL at large? Will we get any damn payoffs for these plotlines?
