Loved this chapter.
I may be in the minority because I loved the Sanji part of the chapter.
I predict that the man Violet wants him to kill will be a member of Doflamingo's family (Trebol ?).I think Oda will introduce some non-fodder participants so that Luffy doesn't have to beat 5 Dofla's men by himself. Maybe a supernova (Drake ? Urouge ?) or a NW pirate we've seen at Marineford.

The FraLu shippers (yes, they exist. yes, I've seen fanart. yes, it looks brilliant) will be going nuts at Luffy being like 'I don't want just anyone getting it' after asking him if he'd eat it.
Then the LuZo shippers are probably like 'HIS RIGHT HAND MAN SHALL HAVE IT' but knowing him he'll reject it also then it'll go to Sanji so he can have the ultimate diable jambe.

t think they will recognise luffy, most people dont seem to know him, even the henchman of dofla doesn`t recognise him. If they were searching for him they would have handed out the wanted poster to all personell. So i think only doflaminingo and maybe diamante will recognise him. -

Anyway, it´s kind of weird that the toy soldier got an introduction (did he use soru/geppo or is it his shoe?) with a nickname as well…a coincidence that both him and Violet are chased by the police?

This chapter makes me believe that Luffy will let someone eat the fruit who he trusts/loves. Him immediately asking Franky if he wants to eat it, shows that he doesnt intend to just let it sit their. Who, dunno. But someone will.
Yeah when I read that line it made me think he might give it to someone in his crew, but then when Franky said "As a memento huh" I kinda got confused. It may be a bad translation or something, but if it is a memento, then surely it means he will just keep it? We will have to wait and see I guess.
Chapter overall was good, nothing really stood out to me but it's a build-up chapter so it's okay. I just loved the way Luffy one-shotted that guy at the end lol!

It's not a bad translation. Memento is the right word. The connotation is that it's something passed down from the deceased that holds sentimental value.

Pretty nice chapter and, looking at this chapter, it's weird how Oda could make the background thugs so distinctive for the most part here, but back at ID the prisoners at Level 6 looked all so terribly uninteresting and bland-ish.

What did I say last week guys!! This is Oda's Tenkaichi Budokai!! It's going to be awesome!! and I love the idea of Luffy fighting in a disguise. I'm surprised Oda didn't just call him Jackie Chun, lol
Also I'm please they've officially explained the DF cycle and included a diagram. I feel really stupid, but when I first saw that fruit appear after Smiley was defeated at PH I was confused. Now it all makes sense.
Does this mean we can expect the Yuki Yuki no Mi to re-appear if Monet really is dead…......?.......
A Snow logia seems like an important ability to have just written out of the story so quickly. Used correctly it could rival Kuzan's Ice, like Magma rivaled Ace's flame.......

Sabo is a revolutionary, will gain the fruit with luffys blessing. -

I don't know if it has any basis in reality, but they think that when someone gets aroused, the blood rushes to their head (weird huh. my blood rushes somewhere else) which results in a nosebleed. You see this phenomenon in many different manga/anime series, and my students even make fun of those who get nosebleeds in class, saying that they must have been thinking about something sexy.
But yeah. Seems completely alien to the western reader.Personally, I agree with you. Making it an actual plot point in FI was the absolute logical limit of the gag, and it's completely worn out its welcome. It makes Sanji an even more pathetic and terrible character than he already is.

1. Before Violet name was revealed, I thought Sanji met Baby 5 while she was off-duty. Probly cause of "help me kill some guy" attitude.
2. Where is Kinemon? Hope he'll catch up with Zoro and not create yet another subplot by meeting someone.
3. So Luffy does care about the fruit (after everybody said the opposite)Now Sanji needs to eat it, and dance flaming irish dance on Monet's grave:ninja:
4. Franky (or his robot) can transform into submarine. Why else he would want to swim at all?
5. Big champion guy got one-shotted. Monthly tournament is either for fodder, or DD pirates will go down very fast (again). And that will be great dissapointment. -

Some people seem to forget that this tournament, among other things, is supposed to be a trap for Luffy, so we won´t see a full tournament where Luffy beats everyone, wins the fruit and everone goes home.

I dunno why Sanji's nosebleeds get all this negative attention, when there are other long-running gags which seem to "weaken" a character (like Zoro's sense of direction and Usopp's wimpiness) but no one makes a fuss about those.
