See, Vergo actually survived the PH incident. He's going to try to eat Sabo to steal back the Mera Mera.
But he'll miss his mouth and we'll only ever see Sabo stuck to the side of Vergo's face for the rest of the manga.

Here's my theory.
The final bird devil fruit use will stab Sabo, causing him to reguritate the Mera Mera fruit, INTO Rebecca's mouth, therefore she will the next crewmate, while Sanji fans weep uncontrollably.

He probably won't. Ace dying was an opportunity for Luffy to grow. If anyone close to Luffy will be dying, it's gonna be Shanks.

For all that predicting and debating, the eating of the Mera Mera no mi seemed pretty low key. From all that happened, I'd expected some half page spread of Sabo biting into the fruit. But Oda simply covered up the reveal with the destruction of the platform, and everyone high-tailing it. Oda seemed to think that the cool hiken Sabo was going to throw was more interesting and/or important.
I guess that's just the difference between Oda and his readers. -
Oda doesn't usually make a big deal out of a devil fruit being eaten.
In the first chapter, Luffy eating the Gomu Gomu no Mi was played as one of those "pay attention or you'll miss it" type of scenes.

I never understand this though. That tournament was in place with or without Luffy. Mingo needed those pirates turned to toys. What better way to lure them in than a Logia devil fruit? Trebol refer to the toyed pirates as "power types". I don't know what it means.

Power types: Powerful toys, this applies to people who were strong when they were human, If there's a normal type those will be the citizens of Dressrosa.

My view is at that level, they will recongnise a fake DF from a mile. They can have the real one on display, it's not like they plan to give it away. They were so sure they will win, which is a bit stupid TBH.

Im not sure about it. They know exacly how real one looks so I dont think it would be that hard for them to make convincing fake.
