We do have a day left to consider other ways to go. Although you'd still have to hurry. I also stand by my initial reasoning.
One Piece Mafia: Part II
-
-
@Galaxy:
I really don't think lynching Kitsune is such a good idea.
Why? What do you think we should do, then?
-
There are several things that we need to consider today.
Huschel has made points in regards to day powers. But here is what that amounts to: If you believe that there is either a Mafia Mayor or a Mafia Governor, you should be voting Kitsune Inferno for the former, and No Lynch for the latter, as these powers put us in MYLO. (Meaning that if we lynch incorrectly, the circumstances that follow will cause us to lose.) That said, I do not advocate a third straight No Lynch. We only catch mafia by lynching. Hoping for something in the night is entirely unreliable.
This current wagon won't suffer from a mayor hammer, as it is the mayor being put on trial. However, an L-1 vote will not bring any new claims forth either. If the town is prepared to lynch, then there is no reason to wait on the L-1.
Vote Lynch: Kitsune Inferno
Frankly I would love to vote Huschel today. He has managed to vote three different people on all three days. He voted SomebodyUdon'tKnow on D1 to support the wagon. He voted SomebodyUdon'tKnow again on D2 for fishing. He voted Shuhan later that day after I made my case. Today, he's voted Kitsune Inferno for fear of his power. This voting pattern shows dependency and over-accommodation.
But, despite all that, he did vote for my suspect, which makes it less likely that he is partnered with them. If anything, this lynch should shed some light on Shuhan. I have not given equal attention to all players, so I'll will be taking today to do so.
-
Doesn't seem like I'm going to change anyone's minds..
Vote Lynch: Kitsune Inferno -
Vote Count: With seven alive it takes four to lynch. Kitsune Inferno [[COLOR=#ff0000]4]: Huschel, trappedolphin**,** Harvady Alumnus, Galaxy 9000
Not Voting [3]: SomebodyUDon'tKnow**, Kitsune Inferno, Shuhan** Kitsune Inferno has been lynched. He was the Mayor (His vote always counted for two). He was aligned with the Town.
Day Three has ended. Night Three has begun. You have 24 hours to decide any and all actions. -
trappedolphin has been killed. She was a Detective (once per night she could choose a target. She would learn that target's role in the morning). She was aligned with the Town. Current Players Alive
1. Shuhan
2. Harvady Alumnus
3. Galaxy 9000
4. SomebodyUDon'tKnow
5. Huschel Vote Count: With five alive it takes three to lynch. Huschel [1]: Galaxy 9000 Galaxy 9000 [1]: Shuhan Not Voting [3]: SomebodyUDon'tKnow**,** Huschel, Harvady Alumnus Day Four has begun. You have 48 hours to decide a lynch. -
Wow. We're screwed over now.
Just because of Huschel's actions.
Vote Lynch: Huschel
-
Well look at that, a whole day wasted…
Friggin Big Brother distracting me. Anyway at this point I have three big suspects now:
Galaxy
SuDoKu
HuschelI just got out of work so give me an hour or so to collect my thoughts and get home
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Galaxy: He has only shown up conveniently when there needs a hammer, and has given nothing to discuss about, be it my antics or anyone elses. He follows the crowd and doesn't think for himself.
SuDoKu: has all but disappeared, although, Big Brother could be the cause, but still his fishing for the bomb is still suspect.
Huschel: Just for the fact that he was afraid of nothing and went for an easy lynch even though thinking that Kitsune was dangerous, had nothing to show for it.
At this point, I am more inclined to vote Galaxy
vote lynch: Galaxy9000
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
oh wait, SuDoKu isn't even playing Big Bro...even more suspect
-
My schedule doesn't match yours. I haven't disappeared, you've just missed me. Once one more Townie is gone, the Mafia have an auto-win. We need to hurry and find one of the two. Trapped was probably one of our best bets, being a detective.
Maybe the Mafia knows what peoples roles are, as each Townie killed seems to have been something exceedingly helpful.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
What about a mass claim? Knowing the roles won't help the Mafia at this point even if they don't know yet, but we might be able to kill a Mafia before nightfall.
-
Heh. Sorry Bogart, I was sleepy when I saw your PM and deleted it without thinking. XD
-
Well, that was unfortunate. But I'd like to point out (again) that lynching KI guaranteed that we would have another day phase.
I'll be back in a couple of hours but for now I think a mass claim is in order. I am a vanilla townie.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Oh, also state who you think the two mafia players are, please.
-
Honestly speaking, Shuhan and Harvady seem like the two Mafia. Shuhan still for his hypocricy on day one, and Harvady because he seemed to really want to rush the Kitsune lynch, disguising it with his text wall.
-
I've already explained my "hypocrisy", but apparently it fell on deaf ears…
Anyway, I want Galaxy to come on and give us more than just a line to work with and a usual hammer vote.
-
@SomebodyUDon'tKnow:

I didn't realize that two paragraphs constitutes a "wall-of-text".
Vote Lynch: Galaxy 9000
That hammer on D3 sealed the deal for me. I stated that I would be taking the rest of D3 to put out cases on people I did not initially suspect. Two whole minutes after I put the L-1 vote down, Galaxy 9000 hammered. Did he not want me to make cases on people other than Huschel and Shuhan? It makes sense considering who he voted.
-
So, everyone has shown up now. There has been one vote on Galaxy and one on me for quite some time now. If Galaxy and I both were town mafia would have hammered one of us already. Which makes me wanna believe that Galaxy is mafia because I am not. Easy enough. Also his first post today about how everything bad in the world was my fault. I do not agree. :getlost:
Does anyone else want to claim? I suppose if we have our lynch victim that we are certain to be mafia we might as well do it tomorrow.
-
I'm just Townie, that is my role. Thought I claimed earlier.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---

-
Game over guys.
I'm a townie.

Hurrah. I really should have lost my partner on D1 though. Bomb hunting, really?

@Harvady:
Hurrah. I really should have lost my partner on D1 though. Bomb hunting, really?
I did my best…the town was all lurk and no guts...
I had planned on going after you next after SuDoKu, but my misunderstanding with the tracker role really took the wind out of my sails...
Good job Harv
-
So if I join the next game, will it have people actually playing or just people who signed up but are too busy to play?
-
If I ever get active in a game it's when it's too late anyway. :P
But I guess you'd have to find out.Congratulations mafia~
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
And I thought Shuhan was a governor...when did you soft claim?
-
I was bomb hunting because I was trying to be discreet. Pretty ironic.
-
Yeah. So…gonna toggle off the auto-sign again.
1. Mrs. Iceburg
2. Harvady Alumnus
3. Shuhan

6.I assume no one wants a three-man mafia game. However, if I can't find any more players, maybe that's just how it'll have to be.
-
Is it a mini? Sign me up.
-
I'm good to go again. Hit me.
-
Glutton for punishment here, reporting for duty
-
Just out of curiosity, are any of you opposed to playing a three-player mafia game?
-
It seems pointless, but if you can make it work…
-
I would like to play a three person game very much.
-
If we don't get any more in the next twenty-four, it's a three-player game for us.
There are a few variations I've seen. Harvady did the one I prefer; one true report/one false report/one mafia, but there's also a double day-vigilante version, multiple-lives version, scoring version and so on.
If you have a preference, let me know.
-
Im good with anything~
-
Scoring seems like fun. True/false reports not so much. But you choose, as I'm not familiar with three player games.
-
It's been a while… I guess I could play. But if you prefer a threesome, it's fine too.
-
1. Mrs. Iceburg- thanks.
2. Harvady Alumnus
3. Shuhan
4. Elisabeth HeartOkay, three-player games are out; Four-Player Vengeful Townie Showdown is in.
Three town, one mafia. Lynched townies must choose a player to go down with them. Slightly favors Town victory, but pretty close to 50/50.
For extreme efficiency, I'm just gonna send the mafia player a message. If I start the game and you didn't hear from me, you're a loose-cannon townie living on the edge. Standard Mafia rules apply otherwise. Bold votes, no swapping after hammer, etc.
We'll start in a few hours. When we do, feel free to take as long as you want. 8 hours, 30 hours, whatever. Have fun.
! Report Mode is quick and concise. Having that information makes it easier to act, so no down-time. It's a challenge for the report-less Mafia to figure out who to report, whether or not to speak first, etc. Plus we know it works.
! Gun Mode should force players to stop and think. They know Mafia doesn't have a gun, but the only way to prove ownership of a gun is to shoot. Another little challenge for Mafia. And it's a Mexican Standoff, what more can anyone ask for? Also shown to 'work'.
! Scoring Mode is multiple games in succession. Like a mafia ghost possessing a random person each round. One point for a mafia's getaway, one point each for a town's exorcism. First to three points wins. Still playing to win each one, but you also play the number game; you'll have people willing to lynch someone just to keep them from getting points. Haven't really tried this.
! Just wanted to throw that up from earlier.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Four-Player Vengeful Townie Showdown
Mrs. Iceburg
Harvady Alumnus
Shuhan
Elisabeth HeartRemember- if you didn't get a notice, you're a vengeful townie. You are required to kill another player if lynched. Other than that, it's standard mafia. Vote Count: With four alive it takes three to lynch. Not Voting [4]: Shuhan**,** Harvady Alumnus, Mrs. Iceburg, Elisabeth Heart Game Start.

I like this setup. It's pretty twisted. Gives me death wishes… :)
-
So let's get talking! This is more like a Russian roulette, looking at the setup.
Don't worry, Bo. Winter is coming; it'll get better~
-
Russian roulette is random, though… Where do you see randomness ?
-
Just a metaphore, I didn't mean random. I meant that we have one chance to lynch someone, and so make or break the game. And I don't really see how we can scumhunt (except for in one aspect).
Let's see. We have 25% chance to lynch the Mafia in one shot.
If we lynch a Townie, that Townie will have 33% chance to pick out the Mafia.
Make of this what you must.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Bogart, if a Townie is lynched, can that player and/or the others post in the time between when the lynch has been achieved and when the lynchee votes another player?
In short, can we discuss who the offed Townie will take with him/her? -
Don't mind my intrusion; just wanted to say that Scoring Mode looks cool, Bogart. :D
-
Standard rules say the time after a lynch is twilight, which has no talking. Vengeful shots are not so much a vote but an action. So no. Thanks, trapped.
Besides, it's no different than having a lynch target claim their role before the hammer; I assume Town will discuss and everything before the vote goes through. You do need three votes, after all.
-
Alright.
Now to hear from Shushu and Harvy :I -
@Mrs.:
Let's see. We have 25% chance to lynch the Mafia in one shot.
If we lynch a Townie, that Townie will have 33% chance to pick out the Mafia.Yup. If we were to take a random shot.
By the way, Bogart, can a day end on a 'no lynch' ?
-
I don't think there are days, Elisa. I think we just play until we reach a lynch.
-
Let's see. We have 25% chance to lynch the Mafia in one shot.
If we lynch a Townie, that Townie will have 33% chance to pick out the Mafia.
Make of this what you must.Doesn't that make it a 50% chance overall? Town gets two chances out of four to find mafia.
Anyway, I feel as though we should lynch Shuhan. What do you all think?
-
@Harvady:
Doesn't that make it a 50% chance overall? Town gets two chances out of four to find mafia.
Anyway, I feel as though we should lynch Shuhan. What do you all think?
I'm a mess when it comes to maths, but it doesn't look like 50% :/ Where is kmo when you need him.
In any case, the lynch can't be "wrong". If we lynch the Maf, yay for us. If we don't, we get another chance. We don't need to lynch the Mafia, we just need to find him/her.
That being said, I volunteer to be lynched!
Vote lynch: Mrs. Iceburg
-
I too, volunteer to be lynched.
Vote Lynch: Harvady Alumnus
-
No, that's not 50%.
You know how we'd get a 50% chance ? By no lynching and letting the mafia kill one tonight.
Tomorrow's lynch would have a 33% chance being successful, if not, the revenge would have a 50%.I'm so glad you all have death wishes too. But isn't it a little early for that ?
-
Sorry Harv, your not messing with my head again, although, I will answer with this
vote lynch: ShuhanHeart, it's your choice…
-
You're all so sweet.
Well, if I were to chose, I'd lynch Harvy.
