! Seems Starlight Glimmer has patched things up with her old friend Sun Burst. The new baby causing havoc was pretty funny. Also, according to EqD, there appears to be a Changling flying in the sky towards the end. Foreshadowing?

! It was a fine pair of episodes. Personally I prefer the premieres/finales that have cool villains, but I had no problems with the story. One thing I wonder is how much Starlight will be involved this season. Will she only be around when she's learning friendship lessons, or will she truly be a member of the core group? I'll be interested to see how much she appears in episodes where she isn't the focus.

Boooooooooo.
! I think it was perfect.
! It was nice that we got to delve deeper into Starlight's and Sunburst's relationship instead of him disappearing out of the show. Their personalities mesh very well together, and Sunburst himself was very entertaining, so I hope we get to see more of him. Overall it's very nice to have these flawed characters. Starlight of course has her whole "I was the main villain of a season" baggage, and Sunburst actually not succeeding despite the high expectations. The mane 6 are fun, but after five seasons there isn't much left to explore, unless there's some major character event (which I hardly doubt will happen). Especially Twilight. She's fun, but the last season she's gotten a bit… preachy.
! Starlight brings a new perspective to the series. I don't know how long she'll help keep the series fresh, but at least right now I appreciate her addition. She and Spike work wonderfully together too, so that's another pair I hope we see more off.
! Other than that - Flurry Heart was adorable, we got some character development, it was great seeing Celestia and Luna just visiting and helping out instead of being beaten by the villain of the season, and we even got some world building.

! It was alright, I guess.
! Pinkie and Rarity felt like they had drunk too many cups of coffee, they never stopped talking and never slowed down! On the upside I did like the character interactions and the expressions, and it was nice how they used a simple plot and built on it. Rarity and Pinkie is one of those unusual pairings, so it was nice to see them together. With Rarity's (forgotten) talent being finding gemstones, that's something her and the Pie Family could bond over in the future. Or the opposite, with a conflict over whether gems or rocks are most awesome.
! The Gift Of Maud Pie is a fitting title.
Basically because Maud is incredible and her presence alone is a gift.
! I d'aawed and laughed a lot in this episode, it was pretty fun.
Rarity's imitation of Pinkie Pie's hyperness was downright amazing.

You mean like the season 3 finale?
In that episode they just switched their talents. There was some minor personality changes (except for Pinkie) but they still acted like themselves.
I'd love to see a proper personality-switch, like the classic soul-swap plot. It might be a bit overdone, but with how interesting each of the Mane 6 personalities are it would still be funny.
Any episode with Maude in it is a gift.
Maude was almost too emotional at the end.
