As far as Pete's Identity is concerned. A lot of people on the other forums I inhabit have mentioned the fact that Loki owes Spidey for saving his daughter. Loki even offered him what ever he desired. Spidey pretty much just said "ehhh I think I will hold onto that for now". So it would be very possible for everyone to forget he is Spiderman.
Sounds similar to something that happened in The Flash. Wally was fed up of the world knowing he was the Flash and had Specter whipe everyone's memories, including Wally's. Frankly I don't know if I want Spider-Man to stay "masked or unmasked". With him unmasked, the series can potentially go in some new and interesting directions. Then again "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I'll see how it pans out.
@Pass:
Spider-Man unmaksed; not matter how many times you hear about it, it's still surprising when you see it.
I agree. I’ve looked at that part a couple of times since buying it and still shocked. Spider-Man 532 has Tony telling Peter that he has to reveal he’s Spider-Man if he still wants to work along side him and have Tony’s protection, though it ends just before Spider-Man takes his mask off. This was released about two weeks before CW#2 and in those two weeks I kept wondering if he would reveal his identity or change his mind last minute.
Now I want to know how J.J. Jameson will treat Parker after this. I'm looking forward to an akward meeting between the two in a future issue.
@OP:
I can't wait until the first face to face meeting with J. Jonah Jameson and Peter Parker.
I agree.
And I'm interested in seeing the new Mysterio in action (see the most recent Black Cat/Spidey crossover for the full information). It's also interested to see Wolverine team up with Black Cat (assuming it isn't Ultimate). He's already mentioned how a nerd like Peter was lucky to get MJ. Interested to see how he'd react if he learnt Felicia also has a thing for Peter.
