Fall of X books coming out of reading order really sells the arc experience...a lackluster rushed reset.
-
Always fun when you willingly or unintentionally release something out of order.
-
The throuple is funny. I think if it was just Jean, Cyclops and some other guy, they'd be willing to let it happen,,, but not Wolverine. he can't be bi, he's too big, too important, to let anything controversial slide into his character. Save that icky stuff for the almost-Wolverine characters like one of his twenty seven children.
But no, not Wolvie.
Nevermind that if you're effectively immortal you're probably going to experiment at least once or twice on a long enough timeline.
-
The sexual tension between Scott and Logan is so thicc that you could cut it with a knife. I think it's such a terrible shame that not only has a relationship not happened between the two year, that it's even more ridiculous that it hasn't happened in the year of our bisexual kings, 2024.
Oh lord. Now I want Josh O'Connor as Wolverine and Mike Faist as Cyclops in the MCU lol
-
Ok this interaction is cute. -
If I was Horikoshi, I would totally tell my kids X-Men was inspired by MHA (regarding a certain release today).
-
@access-timeco
If we talking about the same, it felt way more Golden Experience Requiem -
First time the man hasn't spitted shit, can only fear the amount of monkey pawns being curled due to it. -
I will never ever, ever understand why they went the body swap route with Psylocke instead of just introducing a new asian character from the getgo. I just don't.
Surprise plot twists with established character going evil and brainwashed and new outfit and all that I understand,,, but it happened in like 1989. Surely by that point in time it had to have occurred to someone how bad race swapping and culture stealing would be. To a character that had been around for at least a decade already.
Later writers retconning and making it even more complicated didn't help.
And that it took THIRTY YEARS to undo the switch is just insane.

In the 90s anglosphere?
Nope, that's projecting current racial sensitivities. In other places where race debate is more advanced, we could say that by late 90s would be complaining about it, but still a far tamer complain than a mid 2010s one.
-
I mean, considering how racist DC editorial was toward Cassandra Cain—and the fact that some dumb as shit white guy at Marvel decided to pretend to be Japanese—it really doesn't surprise me that they'd rather just be weird racist pieces of shit rather than creating and fostering new Asian characters.
-
"Told you. These two were being gay and doing crime in the 19th century. welcome to the family, bro." One of the greatest lines to ever be written in a marvel comic.
No Charles, Magneto definitely didn't say you were right. He said mutant and humans face the same oppressors and must together topple them, not that mutants must prove their worth to be accepted by human society like you always persuade.
This page is perfect:So they are going with the Parker treatment for Kamala huh...

Blood Hunt 3 comes out tomorrow anyone been reading this?
Also G.O.D.S final issue is out tomorrow, wonder what it’s going to set up
-
I’m so confused on G.O.D.S issue 8
What the hell happened and what comes next
Anyone? Cause I’m lost

Gee I wonder how this will either be poorly received by the audience like New 52 or get written off by DC like Future State.

Also Absolute DC sounds a lot like Ultimate Marvel doesn’t it?
-
The Absolute Earth is at least not wiping away the old mainstream Earth. Earth-0 will continue to exist and engage in crossovers. This new Earth is just an additional line meant to be easier for new readers.
I'm curious to see how this pans out, though. Hopefully with Dan Didio gone everyone had learned from his failures and knows what not to do.

All well and good until you tease something that either never happens or gets retconned.
-
Did anyone read Blood Hunt issue 5?
-
Comic book events are generally planned out months if not years in advance. And the Doom in live action was likely to happen though not in the same way. Even if the Johnathan Majors stuff hadn’t went down.
So not likely. Even more so with Doom shooting for Sorcerer Supreme in the comic books for decades.

-
Nika, people at the helm of MCU are a bunch of pretentious folks.
Just say alternate reality or Elseworld. -
I can’t wait to see them pull a Hideo Kojima and spend the next decade getting funny looks.
We do not need Meta BS to explain this.
-
I just bought the Graphic Novel for G.O.D.S
Man am I upset, I had read in an article last year that the collected volumes would have more material they weren’t capable of putting in the regular issues, there’s none of that here, at all, no new information or explanations like who are the eight universal abstracts are etc.
Unless another Graphic Novel has them, in which case I just wasted money buying this
Also as much fun as I had with this series it didn’t live up to they hype of being on the same level as Hickman’s X-Men run or being Marvel’s answer to the Sandman
Don’t get me wrong I really liked it, but I don’t think it’s in the same league as those two
-
Okay Hickman, got me intrigued how this ain't gonna be Avengers vs The Brood?
-
If Hickman is writing I’m reading

Oh so that’s what the cover of the first issue looks like :p
-
Not much impressed with AxA from it's first chapter.
-
Is anyone reading Wolverine’s revenge? Is it any good? I’m a big Jonathan Hickman fan

I am so hyped to read Lois as Superwoman. I imagine that it's going to be used as an excuse to kick her out of the Editor-in-Chief role at the Daily Planet, but I honestly just like how Johnson and now Williamson have been pushing the Superman history forward past the usual bullshit. Twenty years ago—after Infinite Crisis—it still felt like we were dealing with the same sort of status quo as what things were in the Bronze and Silver Ages. Now? Lois and Clark have kids, Lois is the chief, Perry is running for mayor, Jimmy has—maybe—a steady girlfriend and the Super Family is flourishing.
I really do hope that Kandor gets unleashed. I think that's the new step: permanently restoring Kandor and letting Kryptonians roamn throughout Earth-0 again. That would make for so much good drama.
I really need to catch up on the Absolute Universe. There's a chance to do some neat, new stuff there and I'm looking forward to it.
-
All that and Clark is still running around with a secret identity.
So all the status quo elements weren’t jettisoned.
-
Are people enjoying Marvel’s New Ultimate Universe and DC’s Absolute Power Universe?
-
I've been enjoying Ultimate Spider-Man, but I wish there was more Mary Jane. I read Absolute Superman #1 last night and enjoyed it, too, but insofar it still needs more time to bake before I have the full scope of how its going to be. I need to read the other Absolute titles, too lol.
I think creating small, separate lines and not trying to get so expansive with them so quickly is a good idea. It takes times to create a new universe, so I'm glad that we're getting that time.
