@gogoedward:
Though, typical Johns pattern. Make a title awesome and a must read > leave title > title ends up sucking without Johns. Hawkman, Teen Titans, and from what I've heard JSA, for example.
Well, for me…
Hawkman -> GJ went with the whole eternal love crap so I didn't read more than a small handful of issues. Didn't like them. After he left, and they made it Hawkgirl, it was worse.
Teen Titans -> OYL. Changed everything regardless of the writer. DC won't let it keep a stable lineup and team and I don't know if having Johns on the title would have any effect. For the record, I thought his work on the title teetered between average and below average. He changed too many characters, brought in too many things from the toon, and started the emo trend.
Justice Society of America -> Besides the crappy issues from Ordway (which weren't very many) the new team is pretty good. The JSA vs. Kobra mini is actually better than anything GJ wrote for the current JSA series (and it actually uses all of the characters). Title will be split in 2, however, so we'll have to see how things work out soon.
It all depends on the writer and direction. Once the writer for Adventure is revealed, it will become apparent on whether or not the title will fail (or we'll get a surprise and they'll announce an A-lister who blows it coughRobinsoncough)
Oh, and Manapul on art...why couldn't at least he stay on Adventure? I'd rather Kollins be the ongoing artist for The Flash.
