Only revealed himself to the team like 3 issues ago.He revealed himself to the Fantastic Four even before that, though.
Thanks for that, I appreciate it!

Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk #6= Bleh
Wolverine #72= Great though predictable, it's great
X-Men 224= Good issue, first development for Rogue since…forever I take it/
Sword #17= FUCKAWESOME!
Ms. Marvel #39= Needs a little better colouring but good otherwise. I can't tell if Norman looks like Bison or Urien (Street Fighter) :P
Ya know I wonder if part of the reason why younger readers prefer japanese comics over american comics like Marvel, DC, etc. is because mangas are more action packed than american comics?
British comics are some good stuff, I'm a big fan of the 2000AD comics. Especially Judge Dredd.
As for American comics, I'm pretty into Dark Horse's Conan and Conan the Cimmerian.
Invincible and Savage Dragon from Image are my favorite superhero books, badassery.
2000AD is pretty good indeed, I plan to read that series eventually, but so far I've read some random collected stories that were published in it, like Alan Moore's Skizz.
I started Doctor Fate recently (like one of those collection books thats have over 40 chapters of it), and IU want to know, is it still continuing (I am guessing yes, since JLA, Superman, and some other ones are still cont w/ nearly 1000 chaoters already made for them)
I also read the rest of JLA vol 2 showcase and I want to know, how much does that comic have also?
I am going to now read Kravens First Hunt…just like I did w/ Brand New Day vol 1-3. (it does say that this one happens right after those 3 vols). To bad I have to read it before reading 172-545...oh well
So here's what I read recently-
All-Star Batman & Robin #1 by Morrison & Quietly: FUCKAWESOME!
War of Kings #4: Cover was misleading THERE WAS NO BLACK BOLT IN THIS ISSUE D=<
Skaar #11: Very good, VERY FUCKING GOOD!
! Skaar GGPOs the Warbound, and Hulk arrives!
Jonah Hex #44: Good, though I fear this may be the last issues of the series, since it's a team-up of Hex and the other Western DC heroes
Solomon Grundy #4: SOLOMON GRUNDY CRUSH! OK, not much action but I liked it, next issue Grundy vs.
! AMAZO!
World of New Krypton #4: Epic win, I loved this issue, even though the cover is completely misleading, and the ending was a complete shocker for me-
Non the less this is the BEST use of Zod I've read so far.
So here's what I read recently-
All-Star Batman & Robin #1 by Morrison & Quietly: FUCKAWESOME!
Are you fucking kidding me? You actually like that shit? Just reading the Green Lantern issue makes me want to burn….
Change the title. I almost went on an ALL-STAR Batman & Robin rant there.
Soooooooooooooo you didn't like the first issue of Batman and Robin by Morrison & Quietly?
I'm guessing there was some name confusion, here. "All Star Batman & Robin" is Miller/Lee, while plain ol' "Batman and Robin" is Morrison/Quitely. I haven't gotten around to reading the latter yet, but I'm pretty excited.
lol I just call it that because of how awesome All-Star Superman is, and thus I call this new series by the 2 the REAL ASBR.
Who here ever read Marvel Ultimate Power? I want to know what is your opinion on it…and also whats the name of the prequel to it? Out of the different Ultimate series, which one makes most sense to read, so you know, I could understand this more? I already read most of the Ultimate SM one...I might start the fantastic Four one soon
I didn't read Ultimate Power, mainly because of Greg Land, and I kinda not recommend reading it, but you could read it's prequel series; Supreme Power.
The reading order for Supreme Power is-
Supreme Power series (Book 1 is called Contact)
Hyperion miniseries
Squadron Supreme series (there is only 1 book collecting the first 5 issues)
The Squadron Supreme series being a continuation of SP, was sadly 'stopped years ago' =/
other minis worth picking up include-
Supreme Power Nighthawk (this is a personal fav. of mine)
Nighthawk vs. Hyperion
You don't need to get the Dr. Spectrum mini, it's not that good IMO.
So yeah go with those 5 series I recommended, Ultimate Power just integrates the Supreme Power series into the Ultimate Marvel universe, and the last I've seen of them was in Ultimate Hulk Annual #1 from a few months @_@
lol I just call it that because of how awesome All-Star Superman is, and thus I call this new series by the 2 the REAL ASBR.
calling batman and robin all-star is really an insult
i mean have you read all-star b&r
is one of the worst series in the history of comics
the thing had to have 12 issues but it got put in hiatus cause it sucked too much
the new b&r is just really good
completely different from the fail of battle for the cowl
still when finish it i feel a little unsatisfied due my hunger for more
and also it looks like they move into a different batcave
not sure if i aprove that call yet
Actually this IS the REAL All-Star Batman and Robin, that one with Lee's art is just Frank M.'s Batman and Robin.
If Frank had written Bats so that he has an 'inside battle' where he tries to fight off the guilty pleasure of hurting people, then this psycho Batman would've been a little more interesting IMO.
Then again it's just me giving different/alt. names to some titles and characters :V
BTW am I the only who read All-Star Superman? I can't be the only one right?
i read all-star superman
it was good but im not a big superman fan so i cant say i was extremely thrilled
i do know is like the origin of DC 1.000.000 story plot (which i think was also writen by GM) but i havent read that one yet
btw i heard all-star b&r will return(not that anyone will buy it)
and also there will be an all-star wonder woman on the later part of the year
I like Miller and Lee's All Star Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder. I loved the art and thought the story was actually a good retcon of the origin for Dick. Only part that was over-the-top was that Robin kicked the crap out of Hal Jordan, but it was more than made up for by the greatness of the line, "Damn you and your lemonade!"
I hope it comes back and wraps up the storyline. I hate having the vol. 1 and just a cliffhanger.
What do you all have against it?
I absolutely love Miller and Lee's ASBARtBW. It's bloody hilarious, espicially the lemonade issue.

It is a god-awful parody book that doesn't even deserve to be on the shelves. Especially when they market it as the "iconic" version of Batman and Robin.
For the record, I don't like ANY of Frank Miller's Batman work.

ok actually the lemonade chp wasnt that bad
i mean, batman force robin to paint yellow the all apartment + their outfits just to talk to Hal
is a really good parody
but thats it
i loved the Dark Knight Returns and all-star is actually the prequel to it
it is part of the DCU earth-22(i think is 22 need confirmation)
still this is not the way i(or most ppl) see it
it was actually more based on DKR2
with alot of characters completely out of character
just look at it
it made batman a sadistic John Wayne(no pun intended) on a cape
Hal Jordan is just an idiot that won the power ring out of luck

ok i agree with the first part but you have to admit that Batman: year one is good
a couple of years ago it was chosen by ign as top 1 of 25 of the best batman stories ever, being DKR the #2

24.-Batman: Knight fall Part One - Broken Bat
23.-Batman:Nine Lives

you have to admit miller work is not what is used to be but he might comeback, but maybe not lately, i heard miller is planning a new DKU chapter in which batman fight alqaeda
…
seriusly
well
^
No, I don't like Batman Year One.
He made Catwoman a dominatrix prostitute and had Jim Gordon cheat on his wife. Also, there was more focus on Gordon than on Bruce Wayne.
I never read his Daredevil, but it looked pretty good compared to this. All of Miller's recent stuff is BLATANTLY obvious crap and yes, he still intends to do the "Batman vs. the Al Qaeda".
^actually catwoman was stealing some guys by posing as a prostitute according to
catwoman year one
but she being a prostitute was actually the intention of miller
never the less the interpretation of Gordon was kickass for me
^actually catwoman was stealing some guys by posing as a prostitute according to
catwoman year onebut she being a prostitute was actually the intention of miller
Catwoman's origin has been retconned MANY times since Year One.
I don't believe ANY of the Catwoman writers had her posing or being a prostitute in her ongoings (since I read most of the first volume, her origin there had her coming from a poor family and going to an orphanage and the like, nothing prostitute related at all).
Oh, and for the record, Miller LOVES prostitutes. They have to be kickass, though.
and also there will be an all-star wonder woman on the later part of the year
If Gail Simone and/or Greg Rucka are writing it, sign me up.
One of Frank M.'s biggest problems is that just about everything he worked on over the past few years is the same thing; it's Darkgrim Sin City-like.
EDIT:
Mighty Avengers #25…...HORIIIII SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
!
absolutely love?
seriusly?
More like adore. It was pretty funny, to be honest, and seemed to be doing its own thing.
Issues 7-9 were pretty good, as
1. They actually seemed to tie together in a way that was more than just using the same characters and starting from where the last issue left off.
2. The whole Hal Jordan thing was damned hilarious, despite Miller's awful sense of humor.
Otherwise it's just Miller parodying himself to the extreme, but of course it's not that funny (goddamnbatman, goddamnbatman, goddamnbatman) and takes forever to get on with. The only Frank Miller creations I ever liked were Born Again, Year One, and 300 the movie, because he seemed to take himself seriously with those three.
And on the topic of big time Batman stories, putting Man Who Laughs so far under the likes of Killing Joke and Long Halloween is foolishness.
OH and All Star Wondy is all gonna be done by Adam Hughes.
you are right there
man who laughs should be top 10 at least
but the killing joke was better, it shows its more sadistic side and the end is just perfect
but my favorite is Arkham Asylum
I remember almost exactly a year ago I bought Killing Joke, and I failed to see how it was really above anything guys like O'Neil or Englehart did. I really think it's only praised so much because of Brian Bolland's art and Alan Moore's name, despite the fact that even Moore admits it's nothing special.
Never read Arkham Asylum, but I did just finish reading Morrison's latest, the first issue of Batman and Robin. Definitely a TPB series.
Killing Joke was also the inspiration for the first Batman movie by Tim Burton.
Killing Joke is IMO, a really good book. I admit there are some stuff Moore could've added to make it a bit longer and expand on some elements.
Part of the reason the book gets a lot of praise is prob. because of it's focus on Joker and one his possible origins…that Joker made up ;)

oh i really recommend you to read Arkham Asylum, it is one of the most sell graphic novels of DC
the thing is that the joker and all the inmates start a riot and held some hostages, they said that they will kill all of them unless batman goes inside and accept to be treated as an inmate since all of them think he actually belong there
at the same time the book start telling the origin of the Arkham Asylum and the story of Amadeus Arkham as he starts to get crazy
the book is very psychological and exquisitely drawn
the story is non-canon but some elements of it appeared on the BftC one-shot of the same name
the thing about the killing joke is that it not only it tells the possible origin of joker but also it is how he start to become a much more evil villain as well as the nemesis of batman
before the killing joke joker had never actually hurt batman before
I present to you all the Cathoclic Priest Batman:
Reverend Bruce Wayne:

Nothing to do with Miller's Holy Terror! Batman.
Image of the suit (sorry, it's from the end because I couldn't find a good normal view with the mask on, so I have this one. Doubt they'd ever let a book like this out again):
I think I've DLed that comic but haven't gotten around to reading it.
I've been interested in the history of american comics since seeing Linkaras videos and I wonder: How does the continuity work here? (compared to manga)
I understand that not all story/crossovers and such are considered "canon", but for series that have been published for a long time (like the "American trio" (my term ;P): Batman, Superman and Spider-Man), how does the publisher accept a certain story canon and make it in the series original timeline? (like putting it in databooks or wikipedia….maybe a bad example there)
I was wondering that over a certain characters fate that i've read about:
! Captain Americas death. To officially kill such an icon (well, the original character) after a long time to me felt kinda daring, even though I never read the series.
I remember that in Star Wars there were different kinds of continuities such as N, G and so on (don't remember the specifics)
Continuity seriously works however someone wants it to work. Just about anyone with any authority over a story (writer, editor, etc.) can say that something did or didn't happen, and after a while you realize you can just do the same, if it evens matters to you.
But to give you a more direct answer, DC and Marvel comics employ the aspect of multiple realities. DC went through a reboot in the 80s so that basically, everything starts from Batman Year One, the Wonder Woman run form Perez, Byrne's Superman, and dozens of other Year One inspired points, most often literally called Year One for the respective title.
Marvel has retroactively added in the storylines of comic from the time before Marvel was even an actual company. Pretty much all of their comics are in continuity unless noted (What Ifs, 2099, etc.).
the thing about the killing joke is that it not only it tells the possible origin of joker but also it is how he start to become a much more evil villain as well as the nemesis of batman
before the killing joke joker had never actually hurt batman before
I'd recommend getting the "Greatest Joker Stories Ever Told" trade.
What does IMO mean anyway?
I found some comics in one of my library, I'll be reading them tonight
@Jedi:

"In My Opinion".
@Jedi Master- IMO= In My Opinion ;) Have fun reading BTW.

Well the current Captain America (Bucky) has been fine IMO, and the stories he's been in were pretty good.
Also Buc, good pointers mate:happy:

actually on this days mostly every ep and crosover is canon atleast for DC
but some stories like most on batman confidential that take place on a different timeline or characters that have stories told by Vertigo even though it is part of DC like the Sandman are non-canon
is actually very dificult to find a non-canon
there is also the case of a story being uncanonize, like batman year two, most of hawkman stories, or just a couple of details that dont actually reboot the all story
actually right now the only story with heavy continuity problems is legion of superheroes and that problems are getting fixed by FC: legion of 3 worlds
I would say that Bucky is the first successful transition of an older character being replaced by his sidekick.
I honestly wouldn't change Bucky for any re-incarnation of Steve, Bucky is all too human, and his costume is different enough that we don't have Dick dressing like Bruce pretending to be something he shouldn't.
If they had made Dick wear the Batman beyond suit, I think people would probably cheer a little and accept the transition. Then again, DC fanboyz LUUUUV Bruce.. bleh.
Go watch The Dark Knight meets Superman on College Humor, great stuff.
I would say that Bucky is the first successful transition of an older character being replaced by his sidekick.
Wally West would LOVE to have a word with you.
Hey I forgot about the guy too :P
…but yeah Bucky was very well used by Brubaker.
Anyway DP #11 was hilarious
! "He's beating our meat!"
Captain America is coming back.
I'll finally going to be ordering Astonshing X-Men Vol. 2 this week, when I order One Piece Season 2, Part 1. ^_^.
Umm that would be Steve Rogers :P
Well I hope you whiny fanboys/nerds are happy >=P
I didn't even knew he was sick.
That's RIGHT, MOTHERFUCKER!!!
I guess I can finally lift my boycott.
That's RIGHT, MOTHERFUCKER!!!
I guess I can finally lift my boycott.
The stories with Bucky as Cap were good though.
I'm still pausing the series and will catch up early next year. I think I'll reread the entire of Bru's series from the start ^_^
Here is some of the stuff I read, tell me your opinion:
(1) Teen Titans vol 3 Beasts Boys & Girls. The cover wasn't that great, but I like most of the chapters…especially this thing about the disease that was happening later on.
(2) Teen Titans/Outsiders The Death and Return of Donna Troy. I really really like this one. The story was great, and the art is even better, not to mention the action scenes.
(3) Teen Titans/Outsiders The Insiders: this one was awesome too, especially the action scenes...don't know what else should I talk about though
Though I do want to know, how much does both Outsiders and Teen Titans have? And what I mean by that I mean volumes and chapters, because I did read some of them from the library but they skipped some. Can you tell me whats the name of each vol for each one to?

Well here are the collected editions of the current Teen Titans series-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teen_Titans#Teen_Titans_.282003-Present.29
As for The Outsiders, their current series has some different members in it. The first TPB of the current series is called Chrysalis-
http://www.amazon.com/Batman-Outsiders-Chrysalis-Chuck-Dixon/dp/1401219314/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1245169110&sr=8-1
I personally liked this series, especially since it had Cassandra Cain in it ^_^
A lot of good stuff this week-
Punisher #6- Good, and I really like the villains used in this story, too bad they'll be killed :/
DR: Young Avengers #2- OK issue, end was a little surprising
Cable #15- Good action packed issue, with a huge gun
Lyra #3 (She-Hulk)- A really good issue, especially if you're a NohVarr fan I think. Good action, beautiful art (IMO) and the ending was a true shocker O_o
Also it seems Marvel will release a comic adaption of The Marvelous Land of Oz this Winter!
Marvel Zombies 4 #3- MAN-THING!!!!!
Invincible Ironman #14- OK issue, ending was a bit odd though…also "Go to hell and don't come back"
Mighty Avengers #26- Needed more Herc Smash, but Hank Pym being a god was so hilarious....it's freaky and awesome at the same time O_o
Streets of Gotham was good, and the Manhunter story looks interesting too.
Is anyone reading Tiny Titans? That's a really good book from DC.
I really don't do the comic issues, but I pick up graphic novels.
Just got:
Captain America- The Man with No Face: Great story, like the interaction between Namor and Bucky and Bucky's decision to resolve his issues as Winter Soldier instead of as Cap. I didn't really get how the villain turned someone into a virus, but it was interesting. (Can't find a spoiler tag button, and don't remember how to write it manually, so I was just vague.)
I still want Bucky to remain as Cap, but I am beyond excited that Steve Rogers is coming back in Reborn. Gonna fight myself on if I should buy in issues, don't want to since I'd still get the GN.
Final Crisis: Not as good as I was hoping it would be. I may re-read it in a month or so, but all in all, it seemed disorganized and badly coordinated. I know it probably fills in a lot if you read the Countdowns and other FC sidestories, but thats not right to make those need to purchase.
The whole time was screwed up thing and Darkseid got mixed with the monitors who were vampires just seemed to be too back and forth.
Only things I was very pleased with were the great scene between Black Lightning and Tattooed Man and the fact that Captain Marvel finally got some prominence in a major event of recent times. I have always hated the way CM gets sideshuffled when he is such a fantastic character.
Sadly, its my least favorite Crisis title that I've read. The only one I haven't read is Crisis on Earths 1 & 2.
Ms. Marvel V6- Ascension
Digging the backstory on Carol and love the interaction with Spider-Man on both portions. I'm really waiting on V7 to see what goes down. What kind of weapon is Ascension exactly? How does everything play out? I really am hoping for a big showdown.
However, I've been spoiled on a very sucky event that happens in #37. I'm really hoping its a swerve and not as permanent as it seems.
Actually, I have a hopeful suspicion that the out-of-chronological-order of the last several issues makes it so she's using her spy skills and in Nick Fury-esque hiding.
It's pretty obvious that I've become a big Ms. Marvel fan.
Overstock.com is having a sale on some of the comics.
Here what I seen so far on sale that I'm interested of getting.

Astonishing X-Men Vol. 3 - 8.99 (getting it in August.)
She-Hulk Vol. 1 - Single Green Female - 8.99
X-Men: Kitty Pryde and Wolverine - $13.45 (even through this isn't on sale like the others, I like to get this since its focus on Kitty.).
