Gametrailers.com is closing. The staff has been kicked out of the building and the site, while still up at time of this post, will follow shortly.
Man, that was my go to place for gaming stuff. I has a sad now ;_;
Gametrailers is dead not sure how I should feel about that.
I'm still super bummed about it. Loved that site. The crew there just seemed to genuinely love video games which is so rare on the internet. So many other sites are filled with cynicism or feel like they are better than certain things. Not to mention GT has been around for a long time and it is odd to not have them as a resource anymore. Also, my favorite reviews came from GT. I felt like they were written and executed the best.
Alright guys, how do you like the new Conker?
Alright guys, how do you like the new Conker?
"Conker's a much beloved property that has a huge following, that's why we chose to defecate on its freshly excavated corpse"
the fuck's wrong with these people
Alright guys, how do you like the new Conker?
I don't even …
Why not create a completely new character instead of taking an existing one and change EVERYTHING about him??
Young Conker just looks like a bastardization of every anthropomorphic video game character design principle.
Sega's taking a survey wondering how they can make themselves better…....looking at some of the questions this can't end badly.

The entire survey is about mobile gaming. Bright future ahead…
Young Conker looks like he came straight out of Food Fight which is an almost impressive level of low quality.

But he has huge round eyes! Everybody loves that!

Knew he looked familiar.
"We know you all want a new Conker game, so first we're going to give you a game where you can make a Conker game, and now we'll give you this where you can watch Conker bounce around your house".
I'd much rather it be adult Conker with the Great Mighty Poo in my living room than this.
Knew he looked familiar.

You know when you put it like that, and I hate that there's a reason for me to say this at all but that Food Fight character actually looks better.
That video almost looks like an Onion article for gaming.
Alright guys, how do you like the new Conker?
I think it's fitting that the thumbnail looks like someone off screen is pissing on Conker. It's like the developers KNOW what they're doing to him.

I got to a point in that survey where the shoe dropped and it was like "So like, why don't you play mobile games, brah?"
Finally have an Obduction trailer.
Looks really good. Looking forward to some gameplay.
That trailer doesn't do much for me, other than confirm that it looks pretty. It also makes it sound like maybe the game takes place in the mind of someone whose memories are fading, and you have to sort of put them back together to wake up. Or something. Honestly It's been so long since I kickstarted the game, I almost forgot it still existed.
I beat Life is Strange last night. I thought the game was amazing. Extremely engaging, amazing characters (well for Max definitely), top-notch voice work, and I love all of the decisions that change dialogue in my game.
For those who have played the game here is a generic rundown of how my game ended:
! I never blamed Nathan on anything because I was gathering evidence. I actually blamed Jefferson in the principal's office because I thought it would have the least effect, didn't suspect he was involved. I was nice in almost every decision but played it neutral on relationships. Kate didn't die and we were friends, I was nice to Victoria (so Jefferson killed her), I had an option to kiss Warren but hugged him and in the nightmare vision Warren and Chloe make out because I rejected them both as well as Victoria and Chloe. I obviously sacrificed Chloe, it was the only answer and I knew the story would go this way because of the butterfly effect and it reminded me a lot of LOST and Charlie from the get-go.

This is the type of post I think belongs in the "What are you Playing?" thread. But uuuugh thanks for reminding me of that game >_<

But….I'm not playing it, I finished it haha
I guess I see where you are coming from though. I don't usually post about things I play but that game....wow.
Whenever I finish a game and want to post about it, I do it in there. But there's also a whole thread for Life Is Strange as well, if you want to use that. You could dig up all my rants about how horrible I found it.
will there ever be a good open word adventure game for onepiece ?

One Piece has never really had a open world game. Unlimited World Red was semi open world and the only complaints I recall seeing are about the number of playable characters
A Open World game based on an ongoing manga series? What is this?

The campaign from Naruto Shippuden Narutimate Accel 2? Or was the first one? Dunno. That one was pretty good IMO.
Microsoft is shuttering Lionhead studios…....if anyone cares

Bummer, I was curious on how Fable Legends was going to do
If history was any indication be a love it or hate it kind of game.
I remember being fond of lionhead's Black and White games back in my teenage years. I don't know if that makes me sad to see them go, since I was never really into anything else they did after that…
Both Trails in the Sky games are on sale and the cheapest they've ever been(at least on steam).
PSN has a sale too from what I've heard.
System Shock 1 remake in progress. Looks better graphically than I was expecting, and I instantly recognize a lot of the locations in the video just from what little I've played of the original. I hope it's actually good.
GOG's insomina sale has started for those interested. https://www.gog.com/

Already hit 30k. That's great. 20k away from their last goal, which probably they'll never reach, but that's okay.
Happy they are back. I do hope their second podcast is focused more on simply discussing games, like Invincible Walls was. I loved GT Time, but they mostly discussed news, events, and whenever they discussed something - at length - I have zero interest in I would often fast forward.
What are some fun, preferrably free, multiplayer games? Preferrably fps but other stuff might be fine. No MOBAs too. Might redownload Natural Selection 2 or Red Orchestra 2. Survarium seems pretty fun too though I just started playing.
Seems David Hayter's feelings were hurt

Valve was found guilty of breaching Australian Consumer Law this was from a case that started in 2014.

Ok, question time here:
I want a good game for the ipad, one that does not require a connection to play it (I recon there are games that force you to be constantly connected or something, right?).
I've narrowed it down to 2 choices: Bastion (5 euros) vs. Transistor (10 euros).
Anyone has any experience with these games on the ipad/iphone/wathever? Not the ps4 or similar systems. I know they're supposed to be good stuff on the ps4. But are they equally good on a tablet? Are these two the best choices regarding this kind of game, or are there better ones?
If possible, nothing above the 10 euros mark. I feel like 15 euros for a tablet game is pushing it. Unless it's an unmissable masterpiece, of course. . .
Thanks in advance!
I can only vouch for the quality of the games with a mouse and keyboard. They are awesome. I don't see how would they translate either combat system to a touch screen though.
I might recomend you Kingdom Rush, and any of it's sequels, I belive the first one is free. Fun tower defense.
I don't know how Bastion and Transistor work on the iPad, but they're both good. If I had to guess, I'd say that Transistor would probably work better on the iPad, since the battles are pseudo-turn-based already, while Bastion is real time action. Plus, it has a lot more stopping points than Bastion.
Good, I see. Thanks to you both!
Reviews are pretty good for both games' ipad versions. Bastion's control scheme apparently makes it an easier experience than on PC/PS4, but it comes with a classic control scheme. Plus, it's 5€. I think I'll try it out, and then go for Transistor.
So apparently 2K games is bringing Civilization Revolution 2 to an actual game system…...........that system being the PSVita:wassat:
Don't know how to feel about that honestly what I'm more thrown off about is how this has just came out a month ago and only found out it existed a few minutes ago.
Yeah I didn't know about it either. What is it for right now?

It's been on IOS and Android since the end of 2014.
