Yeah, tell me about it. I usually avoid watching or listening to anything scary during night-time, because I'm more than capable of thinking about that stuff myself. Basically I make sure that I always a) watch when it's bright b) keep the cursor on the volume bar in case of DERP LOUD STATIC and c) watch something funny afterwards.

Actually I had a bit of a crappy night too when I went to sleep after writing about that traumatizing jogging event. Around half past 3am or something the doorbell rang and whoa did I flinch in my bed. The person who did it went away, but no matter how stupid it sounds, for one second I honestly thought something had come to get me. I imagined how the door would open and creak despite it being locked and how my room door wasn't locked and wouldn't provide any obstacle. Took me a while to calm myself down and fall asleep.

I dunno, the whole concept of an ominous presence stalking you really gets to me. And it doesn't require any specific environment or people; it can haunt you anywhere you are no matter who you are, even in your own house. And when everyday life starts to lose its apparent safety, that's where the fear kicks in. Might not be the best answer there is, but that's why it makes me scared anyway.

Jay was against killing Tim, but Alex attacked anyway. People are arguing on whether Tim is dead. Either way, Masky is actually alive.
! This video was from the past. This is the video found within the safe of the hotel, that clearly Masky did not want him to have. So if anything:
a) Tim is Masky
b) Tim WAS Masky, Tim was killed, and now someone else is Masky.
! DOUBLE EDIT: I don't think Tim is dead, myself. Just before he drops the rock, Alex says, "This is so he doesn't follow us". This most likely means he slammed the rock into his leg, severely injuring him and preventing him from following.

My God, thank you for keeping this topic (which I didn't even know existed) alive! I stopped checking for new videos around Halloween last year, I didn't even know this was going to be continued!
But … I don't think I have the courage to watch the new stuff right now. 
I remember how fucked up I was after sitting through all the "old" episodes. I was paranoid as hell for weeks after. Seriously, that shit terrified me the first time I watched it. I'm gonna chicken out and watch it tomorrow afternoon (it's 1:30 am here right now).

The Rake is a horrible creature from EverymanHYBRID, another series that dives into the Slenderman stories. Where Marble Hornets has Masky, HYBRID has the Rake.
The rake makes random and strange appearances. But one of the things that made HYBRID great was it's unintentional scares. Often time, Slender or Rake would be in the corner, hiding as usual, and simply watching or moving. None of the characters would take note of it. It would just be a normal video with people speaking into the camera, and some horrible abomination watching them from some unknown spot until you find it. In far more current episodes, they actually see both Slendy and the Rake. They even attacked Slenderman on two occasions in one episode. Ended horribly but…
I think the best moment with the Rake was when they did a live feed for questions from their fans. They had a door open behind them. The Rake crawled right past the door, outside of the HYBRID guys view, but in plain sight for the people watching the feed.
Yeah, that would freak me out.

I breezed through Everyman HYBRID and noticed it's more than just Slender Man, it's combining various Creepypasta stories like The Rake and Candle Cove. Plus it's more of an Alternate Reality Game than MH is.
It's a lot less scary but it's still pretty fun.
I find Episode 6 of HYBRID to be pretty fucking scary, but yeah, it's not that scary. The characters are awesome.

So, I just finished watching that EverymanHYBRID stuff. Woah, after some time I really needed the Wikia's help with all those channels, blogs, letters, boxes, and shit.
While it was definitely not as scary as MH (or I've just gotten used to that sort of stuff by now), I really enjoyed watching it. It's more funny and interesting than it is scary. I love Evan's attitude and knife fetish - in fact, all characters are great.
! But I don't quite get Alex. He kept sleeping in that room for how long? Even though he knew about the Rake and already got attacked at least two times? What the hell!
"Joke's Over" is one of my favorite episodes. That and the other one in which they/Evan tried to fight back. Awesome.

TribeTwelve is okay. The one thing people can agree is that it has some of the best Slender Man effects out there but other than that it's standard Slendy stuff.

Alex was only ever plagued by Slendy.
J has never been plagued by Slendy, our well dressed friend only ever pops up when J shows up somewhere he shouldn't be.
Slendy freakin stalked Alex.
Masky has never been seen causing out right harm to J.
Every time J went into that house, Masky chased him out. TTA told him to go back, Masky chased him out.
If Masy and Arky are the same person why would he have him go to the house?
Also, he waited until J found all those tapes in the hotel room, and then he chased him out. If Tim was worried about J learning he is Masky, he would have made sure J didn't get those tapes.
Alex gave J those tapes. If he had really wanted them destroyed, he would have out right done it, not entrusted it to J.
I've always got the feeling that Arky wants J to find something, to figure it all out. That's my biggest reason for believing him to be Alex.
Also, until TTA has never used his own voice. Even this most recent response was a distorted Microsoft Sam. This leads me to believe that its a voice J would recognize.
So yeah….

Here's my problem with using this as evidence to say Alex is not Arky:
If I remember right, in J's first visit to the house, Masky wasn't seen, so we don't know if it was him who filmed it.
Second, we also have no idea where Alex was at the time. He may have been far away, he might not have.
We don't even know how far away he moved.
We knew absolutely nothing about him. Except that he was stalked by Slenderman for some reason. Why was he stalked? Why wasn't J or anyone else working on that movie? Who knows, but Alex was and that's all we knew about him.
Now we also know that he sent J that package in 26. That package that contained a tape with some very TTA like editing.
I believe that there is enough evidence to support this theory.

-ToTheArk's video "Return" has Jay on the floor, acting weird, while Slendy approaches the camera, clear as day.
-Entry #29. If this IS Jay (which I think it is, after being dropped off by Alex in today's Entry), he's visited by Slendy when he inspects the bloody rock.
I think there are more.
Jay is never STALKED by Slendy, but he does encounter him on a few occasions.
