@Big_Bad_Lith:
I don't wanna start shit, because I enjoyed all three, but what made City Folk "a disaster"? The only bad thing about it that I recall was the wearing away of the grass, that was retarded.
Really? You didn't realize anything else wrong with it?
You no longer have any options when talking to animal villagers, turning talking into them into a real repetitive mess because it no longer has any kind of 'introduction - everything else' format. Instead the villagers can have very short conversations with you, and they can be repeated to you every time you talk to them. Want an errand? Well, you'll have to be very lucky! Beside that, City Folk removed animal pictures - a goal in WW to make you interact with your villagers more often. But then again, who would want to interact with the repetitive animals of CF? They must have thought ahead.
The city took almost all of the special visitors and put them in one place every day. That kills replay value. On top of that, none of them were really improved upon from Wild World, so the incentive to visit them is even lower.
Bundle that together with the fact that CF really added nothing significant to the game (that wasn't a flaw) and City Folk was horrible.
anyway, the new one looks great.
I approve of the new proportions, swimming looks pointless but fun, and new clothes/furniture is always fun times. But that's all we know, so far…
We know quite a bit more than that. We know about outdoor furniture, the ability to customize the exterior of our house, the ability to put our houses exactly where we want, being the mayor (which could be very game changing) and this (the new appearance of the village).
